Abstract

Background: Anxiety is often associated with a life-threatening event such as during surgery. The emergence of anxiety begins in the preoperative phase as the initial phase in the surgical process. For someone who is undergoing surgery for the first time, an anxious response will emerge so that it can affect the success of the operation. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety of patients who underwent the first operation at RapihPanti Hospital Yogyakarta. Methods: This research uses descriptive quantitative survey method, with a total sample of 30 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The instrument to assess used was the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A) which was translated into Indonesian. Results: The results showed that the mild anxiety level was in the early elderly 16.7%. The most moderate level of anxiety in the elderly was 13.3% and severe anxiety in late adolescence was 3.3%. Based on gender, the level of mild anxiety was mostly experienced by men 33.3% and moderate anxiety was mostly experienced by women 30%. As many as 60% of patients get information sources on surgery from health workers and seek information on social media independently. Conclusion: The level of anxiety is mild, moderate and severe experienced by all age groups. Types of gender men experience the mild anxiety level and women experience the most moderate level of anxiety. Recommendation for nurses is to provide assistance in knowledge, understanding, and spiritual support, besides the nurses assess the level of anxiety in all patients undergoing surgery. For hospitals develop social media communication as a source of information on surgery.

Abstract

Background: Cardiogenic Pulmo edema can cause a heterogeneous syndrome with a mortality rate of up to 9.5% (Aliberti et all., 2018).Objective: The purpose of this paper was to explain how effective the use of non-invasive mechanical ventilation in patients with acute pulmonary edema with respiratory failure. Methods: The literature review was compiled by synthesizing and comparing various relevant scientific articles from the literature search results using the online database of Proquest and Clinicalkey Elsevier that have significance related to the management of acute cardiogenic pulmo edema. Result: Compared with conservative therapy, noninvasive mechanical ventilation has been shown more effective in improving oxygenation in patients with acute cardiogenic pulmo edema Non-invasive ventilation can reduce dyspnea, acidosis and hypercapnea faster than standard oxygen therapy. Studies show that compared to endotracheal intubation, non-invasive mechanical ventilation is associated with a lower risk of nosocomial infection, lower antibiotic use, shorter length of stay in intensive care units and lower mortality. Study found that there were no differences betwen the two setting of non-invasive mechanical ventilation used, Bilevel positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) and Continues positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) in patients outcomes. However, there are absolute and relative contraindications that must be considered, including the effectiveness of the therapy being insignificant when given too late Conclusion: Noninvasive mechanical ventilation can be considered as the first choice in the management of acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema because of its high clinical effectiveness representing a rescue action for patients not improving with conventional oxygen therapy.

Objective: of the study was to determine the relationship between parity and maternal age with the incidence of primary post-partum hemorrhage at Panti Rapih Hospital in 2017-2018. Methods: observational, cross sectional design, sample 43 people. Chi Square Test data analysis. Results: There was a significant relationship between parity and the incidence of primary post partum hemorrhage (p-value = 0.011). There was a significant relationship between age and the incidence of primary post-partum hemorrhage at Panti Rapih Hospital (p-value = 0.014). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between parity, maternal age <20 years or> 35 years with the incidence of primary post partum hemorrhage at Panti Rapih Hospital in 2017-2018.

Abstract

Background: Hemodialysis is one of the therapeutic methods for clients with end-stage renal disease. One of the problems in hemodialysis patients is the excess volume of body fluids. Fluid control is a solution to prevent complications due to excess volume of fluid. Therefore, adherence about fluid management is important to improve condition of hemodialysis patients. Objective: This study aims to describe adherence and the corelation of duration haemodialysis and IDWG with adherence of fluid management in hemodialysis patients Methods: This is quantitative descriptive method. Thirty sample was randomly. The data collection with questionnaire. Data analysis techniques are univariate using percentages and bivariat spearman corelation to describe the results of the study. Result: There is a good adherence level in the management of fluid intake 60%, enough in adherence 40%, and not good in adherence 10%. It was also known that 24 % of patients who a good adherent in fluid management had hemodialysis <4 years and 25% have an IDWG< 3 kg. There are no corelation of duration of haemodialysis p value 0,521 > 0,05 and IDWG p value 0,422 > 0,05 with adherence of fluid management in hemodialysis patients. Conclusion: It is assumed that adherence to fluid management is important for controlling IDWG in hemodialysis patients. Based on result of this study, this is important for nurses to take more intensive education to improve the adherence of hemodialysis patients in fluid management.

Abstract

Background: In this era of modernization, sedentary behavior (SB) has developed in society. Banker work for ± 8 hours every day. Objective: This research was conducted to determine the relationship of sedentary behavior with blood pressure of bankers in Bandung. Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional method, which was conducted in Febuary – April 2020. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling of 70 employees. The Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) is used as a SB measurement tool that has been tested for validity and reliability (r = 0,45 – 0.63). Result: The results of univariate analysis showed that 75.5% of employees behaved in SB. The results of the Wilcoxon test analysis of systolic and diastolic blood pressure showed a significant difference (sig = 0.000). Bivariate analysis with chi – square test (α <0.05) found statistically significant correlation between SB with morning systolic blood pressure (TDS) (p value = 0.005) and diastolic blood pressure (TDD) (p value = 0.003), daytime TDS (p value = 0.002) and afternoon TDD (p value = 0.003), afternoon TDS (p value = 0.005) and afternoon TDS (p value = 0.004). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between sedentary behavior with the three blood pressure measurements. It is expected that employees can compensate by doing moderate or vigorous activity during free time.
