Abstract

The efforts to create the professional educators, in fact, are never easy. There are some problems found not only in the preparation area of an educator but also in its implementation. When a teacher candidate takes an education study program in a higher education, then his/her knowledge and skills are trained to be professional. The higher education becomes the role of creating a profesional teacher as well as facilitating the understanding of concept and theory of how to be a professional qualified teacher. An intellectual teacher candidate should have a high self-awareness in developing his/her knowledge and attitude as the process of education. The process of education at a higher education should provide an ample opportunity for its student to be optimally developed.

Abstract

The students’ social interaction, in terms of the discussion activities among them, is directed to help the students understand the lesson of Islamic education given. The success of learning Islamic education is reflected in the students’ achievement. That is why, it is important to know the effect of the students’ social interaction to their achievement in learning Islamic education of IAIN Samarinda. This is a correlational study. The population of this research was the eighth and ninth grade students of MTs Antasari Samarinda which had 195 students and the sample of this study was 67 students. The researcher used the correlation Product Moment to analysis the study. The result of the study shows that the model of discussion as a social interaction in learning Fiqh and Aqidah Akhlak does not give any significant effect to the students’ achievement.

Abstract

This study tried to find the problems in teaching plan of Madrasah. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The researcher collected the data by using observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique, which was used, is the data analysis of interactive model proposed by Miles and Hubberman. The result of the study shows that: firstly, the problems in teaching plan of Madrasah are technical and non technical problems. They are some technical problems, such as: the lack of teachers’ knowledge in planning the lesson, the difficulty in determining the appropriate lesson, the difficulty in choosing the appropriate teaching methods, the difficulty in choosing the teaching media, and the difficulty in achieving the target of teaching and learning. Whereas, the non technical problems are the duration of teaching, multiple teaching subject, and additional jobs for the teacher. Secondly, the efforts to solve the problems are: maximizing the time of teaching, academic guidance, and the use of various teaching method and media.

Abstract

IAIN Samarinda recruits the students not only from the Islamic senior high schools but also from non Islamic or other public schools. IAIN Samarinda is responsible to create the intellect-religious Moslem leaders who are able to use his/her proven beneficial scholar. IAIN Samarinda also tries to create alumni who able to give a positive profesional contribution to the society. One of the distinctive programs of IAIN Samarinda is peskam. This program is held by teaching English and Arabic and other Islamic lesson programs. This program is also targeted to create a professional-religious alumnus which is using English and Arabic as the medium of communication. This is a descriptive qualitative research design. The population of this study is about 144 students. They are the students of IAIN Samarinda who are taking peskam and live at the dormitory. The sample of the study is 36 students. The researcher used questionnaires to get the data. Then, the data were analyzed using Miles and Hubberman’ interactive model; data collection, data reduction, data display, and data display. The result of findings shows that in terms of planning, the students claim that peskam is a good program. In the aspects of organizing, actuating, and controlling, the students argue that they have not been performed yet.

Abstract

This research tried to describe the concept of integrative-interconnection of teaching and learning at IAIN Samarinda. The approach of integrative-interconnection is a kind of approach which uses a point of view and/or the united analysis method. The lecturing lessons, which enable to be integrated, should be discussed to find the similarity and the usefulness of them, so that they could be more comprehensive and more contextual. The application of this paradigm has been described that it has some obstacles when it was evaluated. The findings of this research can be a reference for a further similar research about concept of integrative-interconnection in the future.

Abstract

The research and development tries to develop model of teaching for Islamic Education Faith and Moral aspects can build student’s character and then aplicated of model in real teaching process. This research design used Research and Development (R&D) developed by Borg and Gall, was done in two phases, (1) Developing model of lesson plan based on character education for Islamic Education Faith and Moral aspects based on theoretical and empirical studies, and (2) Implementation of the model in teaching process at Junior High School of Samarinda Education Foundation. Data collection which suitable with research and development phases used expert validation, observation, interview, and documentation technique, then data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative. The research and development finding were; (1) a model of teaching based on character education for Islamic Education Faith and Moral aspects that consists of six phases or steps; the first phase, orientation; the second phase, classification and formulation of concepts; the third phase, story presentation; the forth phase, identification and classification of values; the fifth phase, confirmation; and the sixth phase, reflection, (2) the implementation of model of teaching to formation lesson plans (RPP) and teaching process in the classroom was done well. model pembelajaran, pendidikan karakter, pendidikan agama Islam

Abstract

This paper proposed some important points related to the findings of the study. Firstly, Quality assurance provides a concept of a guarantee system to the achievement of a standard quality of IAIN Samarinda. Quality assurance of IAIN Samarinda is a kind of quality system implemented at IAIN Samarinda to fulfill some aspects of quality including: quality standard, quality implementation, quality control, and quality development. Secondly, in the context of internal quality assurance, IAIN Samarinda is providing some quality standards as an adjustment agenda to the condition of IAIN Samarinda. This agenda is now processing and it seems running slowly since there are some problems, such as: unfinished quality standard, the duration of drafting of them, and the agenda of focus group discussion. Thirdly, the guidance of the quality standards of IAiN Samarinda is formally stated by the educational regulation of Indonesian government. IAIN Samarinda is processing to fulfill all the criteria stated by the Indonesian educational regulation system. Fourthly, IAIN Samarinda implements the quality standards by involving the all levels and units of IAIN Samarinda; from top leaders of IAIN Samarinda, faculties, and department under coordinated by the quality assurance department of IAIN Samarinda. Fifthly, the system of quality assurance gives a firm guarantee to the implementation of the internal quality assurance which will give a significant positive effect to develop IAIN Samarinda in terms of applying a certain quality standard which is systematic, measurable, and objective quality.

Abstract

This study describes the method of Islamic education in the family according to Abdullah Nashih Ulwan and relevance to education today. Approach in this research is library research. Abdullah Nashih Ulwan is a scholar who is an expert on Islamic education, anyone who wants a tarbiyah book and a discussion of modern problems is certainly not familiar to him. Abdullah Nashih Ulwan was born in 1928 AD In the Qadhi Askar area located in Bandar Halb, Syria. He grew up in a family that cling to religion and attach importance to Islamic morality in the association and muamalat fellow human beings. Abdullah Nashih Ulwan based all his ideas and thoughts on the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet. Then illustrates his explanation of what the Prophet did, his companions and salafs who were as good as a Sunni and an activity within the Muslim Brotherhood's organization, almost did not take the reference of Western thinkers except under certain circumstances, the thought was influenced by the thought of jama 'Ah. Ikhwanul Muslimin, he is an activist in the organization. The result of this study of Islamic education in its implementation requires appropriate methods to deliver educational activities towards the desired goals. However good and perfect Islamic educational material will not mean anything, when it does not have the right method or way of transforming it. According to Abdullah Nashih Ulwan there are five methods, namely: education by example, education by habituation, education with wise counsel, education with attention and monitoring and education with appropriate rewards and punishments. Five methods of Islamic education in the family according to Abdullah Nashih Ulwan there is relevance to education today.

Abstract

Kajian ini mendeskripsikan konsep pendidikan tauhid dalam keluarga yang dapat diterapkan oleh para orang tua untuk menumbuhkan kodrat anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan (library research), yaitu penelahaan terhadap buku-buku, karya ilmiah, karya populer, dan literatur lain yang berhubungan dengan tema yang diteliti. Penelitian menemukan metode agar anak menjadi manusia muslim yang benar-benar meyakini keesaan Allah SWT, serta dapat mengamalkan ketauhidan yang ia miliki dalam rangka mencapai kebahagiaan hidup di dunia dan akhirat. Materi pendidikan tauhid dalam keluarga ada empat yakni : ilahiyat, nubuwat, ruhaniyat, sam’iyyat. Metode pendidikan tauhid dalam keluarga adalah, kalimat tauhid, keteladanan, pembiasaan, nasehat dan pengawasan. Metode yang digunakan selain berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan materi pendidikan tauhid juga membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Metode kalimat tauhid sebagai contoh, digunakan untuk menanamkan ketauhidan anak serta untuk mengawali getaran-getaran perdana pada auditif anak yang telah berfungsi sesaat setelah dilahirkan. Kemudian metode keteladanan, metode pembiasaan, metode nasehat dan terakhir metode pengawasan. Secara garis besar metode tersebut terbagi dua yakni metode teoritis dan praktis.Pendidikan tauhid dalam keluarga menuntut kemampuan pengetahuan dan wawasan orang tua yang luas. Karena orang tualah sebagai pendidik utama dalam konsep ini. Orang tua harus memiliki pengetahuan Islam yang terintegral untuk melaksanakan konsep pendidikan tauhid dalam keluarganya, selain penguasaan terhadap materi-materi ketauhidan dan metodenya.Selain itu metode yang digunakan harus bertahap, sehingga sesuai antara metode, materi, dan kemampuan anak.Pendidikan tauhid dalam keluarga menempati posisi terpenting dalam pendidikan keluarga sebagai landasan dan tujuan dari pendidikan lain yang terintegral di dalamnya. Abstract

The decline of morality is the concern of the education by reforming the educational system in the form of the application of character education that is integrated into the school implementation system of education, including the implementation of learning. Islamic Education Teachers in Vocational High School (SMK) Muhammadiyah Loa Janan also attempted to integrated character education into the implementation of learning. This study described the process or ways integrating character education into the implementation of learning Islamic Education. The results of this study illustrated that the integration of character education in the implementation of Islamic Education in Vocational High School (SMK) Muhammadiyah Loa Janan implemented by integrate character education into the process of implementation of learning through exemplary process and self-awareness of students by giving advice and motivation to familiarize self-executing the values ​​of characters that want to be implanted into the students in everyday.
