Abstract

One of the main elements in the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi is carrying out community service activities. Public Space Integrated Child Friendly (RPTRA) were built and developed by Jakarta Provincial Government has a library that needs to be managed properly. To increase interest in reading among library users, especially children, the Program Management Studies Bunda Mulia University, held a traning program in the library management and also held activities in order to increase interest in reading. The educational background or knowledge of the librarians of RPTRA who are not educated libraries of course make them limited in managing the library including developing activities related to the development of reading interest. Through the training of good library management to increase interest in reading is seen some things that can be felt directly by the librarians and the children as the majority of library users in RPTRA Dharma Suci. For the board perceived the benefits of knowledge about how to manage the library well. Then also gain knowledge on how to develop activities that can be used to develop reading interest among library users, especially children. For children as library users it is felt that through the example of storytelling activities, their interest in finding other stories through library collection books in RPTRA Dharma Suci can increase. This is certainly positive because it will make them spend more time in the library than playing on the streets. So therefore, the future of these children can continue to develop themselves in order to improve their welfare in the future.Keywords: management, library, reading interest, welfare living

Abstract

Knowing that human resources are important for the progress of a nation, it is necessary to have early preparation in order to be able to foster the future well. Supported also by the third Tri Dharma of Higher Education - Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM), which states that the responsibilities of a teacher include transferring, transforming, and applying knowledge from within the campus to the public. Based on this, the University of Bunda Mulia conducted PKM activities by raising the topic "Preparing the Future in the Early Age". The selection of the subject of this research that has been adjusted to the topic is the Bhakti Utama School students. The method used in this PKM is ice breaking, the delivery of material includes lectures, sharing experiences and video playback as well as a question and answer session that results in two-way communication. In short, the material presented is in the form of the importance of money management and preparation for further education, planning provides direction and reduces uncertainty, and how to change bad behavior and habits. Each session is thirty minutes long. This PKM activity is expected to be held again, of course with more varied topics.

Abstract

ABSTRACT E-Commerce is electronic commerce related to the activity of buying, selling, marketing of goods or services by utilizing internet communication network as a form of future trading.. The purpose of this research is (1) To know the influence of consumer behavior toward online purchasing decision on E Commerce Site, (2) to know the influence of brand image to online purchasing decision on E Commerce Site, (3) to know the influence of promotion to online purchasing decision at E-Commerce Sites XYZ. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method and use if the data SPSS Version 24.00. Populations and samples (questionnaires) in this study were 97 valid questionnaires. Questionnaire materials include: Functional Image (image seen from product function), Affective Image (image seen from attitudes toward brand), and Reputation (image seen from reputation of brand) disseminated to E Commerce Site XYZ  user in Jakarta. this is: Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded as follows: (1) Partially, the dimensions of Consumer Behavior have a significant and positive effect on Purchase Decision at E-Commerce Sites XYZ received with a significance value of 0.618, (2) Partially, image has a significant and positive effect on Purchasing Decision at E Commerce Site XYZ received with a significance value of 0.323, (3) Partially, the promotion dimension has a significant and positive effect on Purchase Decision at E Commerce Sites received with a significance value of 0.765. Keywords:  Consumer Behaviour, Brand Image, Promotion and Online Purchasing Decision.

Abstract

The ebb and flow of passion for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, signals that people's tastes have changed apart from the purchasing power factor. As an area for buying and selling technical equipment that tends to be homogeneous, the HWI Lindeteves Jakarta market has an interesting phenomenon to research. This study aims to explain the effect of Market Orientation and Entrepreneurship Orientation on Business Performance. This quantitative research uses multiple regression analysis for data analysis. The measuring instrument used is SPSS 23.0. The results of this study explain that business performance is affected by market orientation. Furthermore, Business Performance is also influenced by Entrepreneurial Orientation. Simultaneously, this study explains that business performance is influenced by market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation. The better the company strategy is related to understanding Market Orientation and Entrepreneurship Orientation, the better it will support Business Performance. On the other hand, a low level of market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation can have a low impact on business performance.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to provide training on the technique of making a business letter in English for teachers of SMK Muhammadiyah Slipi Jakarta. Business letter is a letter that is used by a person, organization or institution that deliver business messages in writing to the other party by using a specific media whether it is sending via postal mail, faksmilie, telephone or the internet. The activity of writing a business letter is seen as simple and easy work, but to do it optimally of course required expertise is needed. To write business letter does not require special skills as a writer of novels, poetry, short stories or other literary works, because essentially a business letter is not a literary work. Nonetheless, to wite a good business letter is often not as simple as people imagine, because there are certain rules and habits that are generally applicable and must be met by each author of the letter. Therefore, the words and sentences in the letter should be prepared effectively and efficiently. The accuracy and detail are needed to ensure the contents of the letter are intended by the sender.  Therefore, the outcomes is that the teachers in SMK Muhammadiyah 4 can teach his or her students SMK Muhammadiyah 4 how to create a business letter in English that is good and right so that later after they graduate it can be applied upon entering the workforce. Keywords: Business letter, Teacher Training, Vocational School

Abstract

The safety factor of learning and playing environment in the children's playground at the Sunter Jaya Berseri RPTRA is one thing that needs attention, because they can provide benefits in supporting children's learning and play activities. Good play facilities must be designed safely and comfortably so as not to pose a potential hazard to children. With the presence of play and learning facilities there is a continuous interaction between humans and their environment. Through a play approach, children can develop psychological and physical aspects. Development of psychological and physical aspects can be supported by outdoor play facilities. This self-safety education seminar on children's learning and playing environments is one of the preventive efforts to reduce accidents in the children's play environment, especially in the Sunter Jaya Berseri RPTRA. The aim is to provide understanding to Sunter Jaya Berseri's RPTRA managers and administrators about the dangers and how to avoid them. Keywords: safety, learning, playing, children

Abstract

The communication model in the family is part of the interpersonal communication. Here the role of parents can be called as the main communicator in the delivery of communication messages. To achieve the effectiveness of a parent communication certainly has its own way of delivering messages to their children, especially when children face certain problems in their social life. As an effective message delivery standard, this activity suggests three possible patterns of communication skills, including: listening communication; Open communication; and honest communication. Listening communication is a parent-to-child interpersonal communication model, or a form of communication involved, especially in responding to the psychological needs of the child. Open communication is a communication that enables messengers and message recipients to understand what they want to achieve in an ongoing communication. Parents as messengers and children as recipients of the message occupy the same position in the exchange of communication messages they are building. While honest communication is a communication model that is delivered with the aim of fostering self-esteem of children. These three models of communication, apart from being the most important way to find solutions to problems faced by children, as well as a way to counter the tendency of self-egoism of parents. With these communication patterns parents are able to absorb what children expect. And, in this way, children feel understood and appreciated by their parents.Keywords: Interpersonal Communication, Listening, Open, Honest.

Abstract

One way to improve students' academic and non-academic abilities is by taking tutoring. Tutoring is an effort to achieve maximum learning outcomes in accordance with the field of interest. In the era of technological revolution 4.0, we are always demanded to be up to date on their abilities in non-academic / soft skills such as video editing, programming, dance, music, multimedia, etc. Education 4.0 should be able to provide easy access to education and mobility in learning formal and non-formal fields. The application "Yuk Les" brings together the community / students who need private tutoring and people who have abilities in various non-academic fields based on Android. With this application, it is expected to facilitate the public in finding private lessons in accordance with the needs of the field of interest and opening new jobs for the community / students who have abilities in non-academic fields.

Abstract

In general, broadcasting is a part of communication skill that can be gained through commercial agents/workshop or at university. Besides that, directly practice of broadcasting is still rare announced to public. Based on that situation and condition, Communication Department from Bunda Mulia University tries to share the knowledge of broadcasting through empowerment activity to school that applies broadcasting as the major. In this case, the school needs to implementation in studio room but has not provided by facility yet. Therefore, this empowerment activity runs by giving not only oral material, but also the practice of equipments inside TV studio. In brief, the results of this activity can introduce and enable the students of Sekolah Rakyat Ancol 2 (located in North Jakarta) to actualize their roles as news presenter, camera person, switcher, floor director as a whole unity in a broadcasting process. PKM activities are implemented by combining lecture techniques (giving material) and direct practice. During the initial 60 minutes, students are provided with material related to script writing and broadcasting techniques. In order not to appear stiff, the lecture delivered was supported by the seating arrangement of U shape so that participants surrounded the speakers. Then afterwards, for approximately 2 hours, participants practiced individually and in teams. The results of this study in general explain curiosity indeed strongly encourages participants to practice. It is hoped that in the future, PKM activities will be long-term through training / similar programs with more varied topics / themes.                     Keywords: broadcasting, empowerment, student, folk school

Abstract

ABSTRACT The tourism industry is defined as a collection of business fields that produce various services and goods needed by those who travel on a tour. Every product, whether real or virtual that is presented to meet specific human needs, should be assessed as an industrial product. As stated by the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) in the International Recommendations for Tourism Statistics 2008, the tourism industry includes; accommodation for visitors, food and beverage service activities, passenger transportation, travel agencies and other reservation activities, cultural activities, and sports and entertainment activities.The skyrocketing world of tourism in Indonesia has an impact on other businesses, including hotels, restaurants and tourism management. The tourism industry is probably one of the most grueling industries to work in. For business people or Top Management companies in the tourism sector, the quality of human resources is a major factor that needs to be considered in order to be able to run the business optimally, this quality depends on the competence of human resources, namely a combination of Soft Skills and Hard Skills competencies.For this reason, it is imperative that vocational students must have a structure of knowledge and skills in order to enter the world of work and be able to adapt well after graduation and be able to access and use competencies optimally (competency dimensions).This Community Service activity was carried out on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 with the theme "Skills Needed in the World of Tourism Work at SMK Darmawan Bogor by using the online media Google Meet. The procedure for this service activity is carried out by providing attractive and easy-to-understand presentation material for students and students, the presentation of the material is prepared using power point media and several sample videos to facilitate the delivery stages to students and students. During the activity, based on the intensity of the questions and answers that arise, this Community Service activity provides benefits as additional motivation and increased knowledge for students in the future before entering the world of work in the tourism industry.
