Abstract

Head injuries occupy the highest levels of morbidity and mortality, therefore it requires better understanding and management, especially regarding treatment. One of the most successful treatment for head injuries is structured first aid management, namely Airway, Breathing and Circulation. To find out factors related to the role of nurses in carrying out ABC management actions in head injury patients at the emergency department of Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin. This type of quantitative research with observational methods, using the Cross Sectional Study design, the sample is an executive nurse who provides ABC management to 34 people with head injury patients, taken by purposive sampling method, the data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank Test. The study found that there was statistical significance between ABC management with education levels (p = 0.004),length of employment (p = 0.000), emergency training (p = 0.000) and emergency facilities (p = 0.000).

Abstract

Implementation of Patient Nursing Care Model (PNCM) with team method in Inpatient Room Installation of Dr. H. Moch Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin was not yet optimal. This research was to analyse factors that influence on there and used cross sectional approach. Population 256 nurses with non probability sampling incidental, with sample amounted to 92 respondents. Statistics analyze used SEM Smart PLS 3.0. The determinants of the performance of PNCM implementation in this study are individual facto, education, knowledge, motivation, leadership, and reward and job design. The results of research are leadership; job design and motivation give significant influence on the performance of nurses in the implementation of PNCM, where individual factor period did not significantly influence. Nurse motivation came from need and support conducive environment fulfilled. Effective leadership by head ward increasing employee trust so made increased nursing performance. Job design that clear can nurse more easily done their job.

Abstract

Currently Fitofarmaka therapy is popular among the people because it is considered as a treatment that has few side effects, cheap, and easy to obtain one of which is by conjoined pumpkin therapy. In Patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus in the Work Area of ​​Cempaka Health Center, Banjarmasin. This type of research is Quasy-experiment with Pre-Test and Post-Test Non Equivalent Control Group design, the sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data analysis uses Paired Sample T-Test and Independent Sample Sample T-Test with a significance limit α = 0.05. Conjuring boiled pumpkin for 7 days in the intervention group was obtained. For patients with type II Diabetes mellitus, they can choose an alternative treatment besides pharmacological therapy, namely by using Siam Pumpkin which is processed by boiling.

Abstract

Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) is a process of allowing babies with their own instincts to breastfeed as soon as in the first hour after birth, together with contact between baby's skin and mother's skin (MOH RI, 2008). This study is an analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. Both the independent variable and the dependent variable according to circumstances or status at the time of observation. The researcher looks for the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable by taking a quick measurement. The results of this study were that respondents with good IMD implementation amounted to 61.7% and those who did poorly amounted to 38.3%. These results indicate that statistically there is no relationship between maternal education with actions in implementing IMD, and there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers with the implementation of IMD

Abstract

Code blue is one of the emergency procedure codes that must be activated immediately if someone is found in a condition of cardiac respiratory arrest in the hospital area. code blue response team or code blue team is a team formed by the hospital in charge of responding to the condition of the code blue in the hospital area. This study aims to determine the correlation of HR, Facilities, Response time, and SPO factors with code blue management in the hospital. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis method with factor design test, a sample of 33 code blue teams. The results showed that there was a correlation and influence of factors (sub-variables) of human resources, facilities, response time and standard operating procedures with code blue governance in hospitals. The strength of the factors in the management of code blue in hospitals in a sequence is the facility then continued with the response time factor, human resources and finally the standard operational procedure factors for the code blue team's management in emergency patients.

Abstract

One factor in the success of handling head injuries is the speed and accuracy of handling. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the length of time of referral and the severity of head injury patients in Emergency Department of Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin. The research method was observational correlation with a cross sectional approach, the sample was head injury patients treated in the emergency room at Ulin District Hospital Banjarmasin as many as 52 people. Data were analyzed using the Spearman-Rho test. The results showed that patients with a referral time ≤ 1 hour 100% had a mild severity. Patients with a length of referral time >1 hour experienced moderate severity (41.2%), severe (35.3%), serious (17.6%), and mild (5.9%). There was a significant correlation between the length of time of referral and the severity of head injury patients and the strength of the correlation was strong.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is self-care done to maintain health both physically and psychologically. A clean body minimizes the risk of someone contracting an illness. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and complaints of skin disorders in farmers. The population is study were all farmers in the Alalak Utara Village of Banjarmasain. The sample is study was 30 respondents. The results of data analysis showed that there were complaints of skin disorders in 8 respondents (88.9%), with poor personal hygiene,. While for those who have no complaints of skin disorders 1 respondent (11.1%) with less personal hygiene, 3 respondents (37.5%) with sufficient personal hygiene, and 7 respondents (53.8%) with good personal hygiene. The results of the statistical test show the value of p = 0.046 that there is relationship between personal hygiene and complaints of skin disorders in farmers in the North Alalak Village, Banjarmasin

Abstract

Breast cancer is a type of malignant disease that is greatly feared by women. Breast cancer is the second highest cancer incidence in the world that most often affects women. The high incidence of breast cancer need to be observed by prevention and early detection. Health education is one method to increase knowledge about breast cancer. Health education will be conducted by researchers in the prevention of breast cancer is with a group brainstorming method. This study is a Quasi Experiment, or who have a treatment by using pre-test and post test without control group. The study population was a teenager using a sampling that is purposive sampling. The results using Paired T-Test prior to the brainstorming group mean value of 2.08, after doing the brainstorming group mean value of 1.33, and p value of 0.000 (p value> 0.05). It can be concluded that there is a difference in the prevention of breast cancer before and after brainstorming group in adolescents

Abstract

Background: High blood cholesterol levels lead to cholesterol deposits in blood vessels walls, the more sediment will clog blood vessels and disrupt blood circulation. This condition is the trigger of heart disease and stroke. To overcome the problems of high cholesterol in the blood, now it has begun to use natural ingredients to lower blood cholesterol levels that are the treatment by using herbal medicines such as medicines such as medicinal plants one of them is green tea. The main purpose the study is to know the effect of green tea on cholesterol values in elderly hypertensive patients in at Tamban baru community health centre in Tamban Baru Mekar Village. Methods: the research design used for this research is pre experimental one group, pretest and posttest design. The subject is elderly people with high cholesterol hypertension. Sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling technique with numbers of respondents 16 respondents who were given treatment. The research instrument used in this research is independent variable green tea giving and the dependent variable is cholesterol measures on elderly hypertensive patient using rapid test tool of cholesterol stick multi check in three, bivariate analysis using paired T test. Respondents were given green tea twice a day every morning and afternoon for 14 days

Abstract

The Pain is a natural process of labor, but if not handled properly, it will cause another problem, namely increasing anxiety in the labour process. Nowadays many methods are offered to reduce pain in labor, both pharmacological (using drugs) and non pharmacological methods. If possible the choice of non-pharmacologic therapy for the management of pain in pregnancy and labor should be considered before using analgesic drugs. One of an effective non-pharmacological method to reduce pain is with massage Counter Pressure. Article searching conducted in some databases: Google Scholar, Proquest and Science Direct. Keyword used were “Counter Pressure”, “pain”, Labour”and finally got 9 articles matched. Counter Pressure could be categorized as a safe and effective intervention to reduce labor pain at first phase
