Abstract

Religion spread in this universe is a symbol for a person in dealing with fellow humans and other living creatures. Religious teachings teach their adherents to have compassion and care for one another; there is no single religion that instructs its adherents to commit violence and even kills creatures. This article describes the religious doctrines of non-violence and their similarities and differences. Then we will look at the manifestation of the non-violence doctrine in the adherents of each religion. As a methodical step, this research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach with a content analysis knife. This research concludes that all teachings brought by religious scriptures in Indonesia have the principle of promoting love for others. However, under certain conditions, it turns out that the teachings of the scriptures also provide the freedom to take decisive actions. However, in conditions of peace, no one is advocating for decisive action. When some of the congregation carry out strict teachings, then it is a person who misunderstands in understanding the holy book.

Abstract

This paper discusses the story of the sacrifice carried out by Prophet Ibrahim in the Qur’an. The story in question is narrated in the Qur’an and the Bible. The story of Abraham’s sacrifice is significant in finding the similarities and differences between the two. Therefore, the approach used in this research is intertextual, initiated by Julia Kristeva, who tries to compare the narrative or interpretation between the two. Using this approach, many differences were found. This study concludes that the sacrifice narrated in the Qur’an by the author is divided into three fragments, the initial fragment, namely the sacrifice commandment, has the principle of expansion and haplology; the fragment of the sacrificial process itself has the principle of haplogy, and the last fragment is the principle of expansion and modification.

Abstract

Today, the Qur’an is not only studied textually but has begun to be examined in the dialectical realm, which is familiar with the term living Qur’an. This can be highlighted through the reading of S}amadiyah (100,000 Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ), which has become a tradition in the archipelago, including the students of the Al-Lathifiyah area of the Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid in Paiton Probolinggo. This study aims to analyze the reception of students in the Al-Lathifiyah region towards the reading of S}amadiyah addressed to people who have died. These activities are carried out within a certain period using calculating tools such as prayer beads, coffee, corn, etc. The reading of the S}amadiyah is believed to be an intermediary for releasing the corpse from the torment of the grave. The meaning of reading S}amadiyah implies a desire to be able to atone for the sins of people who have died. In this study, we used qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques we use are observation, interviews, and documentation. From the reception of the students of the Al-Lathifiyah region towards the tradition of reciting S}amadiyah for the dead, it can be concluded that the reading of S}amadiyah can send blessings to those who have died so that they can atone for the torment of the grave and their sins.

Abstract

Having vital memorization or memory is the dream of everyone, including those who want to memorize the Qur’an. However, the facts on the ground are that not all of these memories are directly proportional to everyone’s wishes. One way and effort to have vital memorization is wirid from the Qur’an, as practiced at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School in Blokagung Banyuwangi, which uses the wirid surah Al-Baqarah. Based on the practices and habits of the Darussalam Islamic boarding school, this research was appointed with a focus on studying the living Qur’an. It is hoped that later an answer can be found from the formula: how does the wirid al-Qur’an (Al-Baqarah) come alive and affect the sharpness of a santri’s memorization? As a methodical step, this research uses a descriptive-qualitative method based on a phenomenon (phenomenological). The results of this study conclude that this memorizing wirid becomes a medium to get closer to Allah by using dhikr taken from pieces of the verses of the Qur'an Surah al-Baqarah has given confidence to its practitioners as a reinforcement for memorizing the Qur’an. 'an and have made the Qur’an.

Abstract

Abstrak: The family is the leading force in planting primary education for children. The family’s position is very strategic in terms of habituation of positive characters for children, especially mothers. To achieve all that, it is necessary to have ideal family education relations and management. The question is; How are family relations and management according to the Qur’an? Relationships and family education management based on a critical analysis of the exegesis of the Qur'an resulted in the conclusion that the family is the primary environment forming positive or negative values. The second responsibility of the husband is more significant in the relationship between husband and wife or parents and children. The husband is responsible for family education to give birth to a sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah family building system. Third, Family Education Management is the cooperation of family members in their respective duties and functions regarding education in the family. The conclusion was obtained using the thematic method (maudhu’i) al-Qur’an with descriptive-qualitative analysis from two primary and secondary sources.

Abstract

Wars and fundamental actions in Indonesia, such as terrorism, seem to be a stigma attached to Islam. If you look at previous history, this stigma appeared for the first time when the WTC incident on September 11, 2011, in the United States, was followed by the bombings in Bali (2002), Madrid (2004), London (2005), and in Paris (2015). carried out by the radical Islamic movement, al-Qaida. This is where the world community is haunted by the discourse of Islamophobia and attaches various negative stigmas to Islam, such as radical Islam, fundamental Islam, extreme Islam, militant Islam, terrorist Islam, and so on. This research will focus on the problems above, with the formulation of the problem; How is the interpretation of the verse of jihad and war, and how is it related to the Qur’an?
