FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Abstract

The impact that Covid 19 has on teaching and learning activities is quite pronounced, this can be seen from learning that should be done directly and meaningfully now can only be done independently. That way students do indirect learning by utilizing online or online learning that is deemed quite effective in situations like today. Extracurricular activities are activities carried out in developing certain aspects of what is found in the ongoing curriculum, including those related to how the actual application of knowledge learned by students is in accordance with the demands of their life needs and the surrounding environment. Extracurricular is an educational activity outside of class hours which is shown to help the development of students, according to their needs, potentials, talents, and interests through activities that are specifically organized by students and / or educational staff who are capable and authorized at school.

Abstract

The existence of folk singing in the Dayak Maanyan community is inseparable from its attachment to the implementation of customary ceremonies. In addition to being a means of entertainment, this song can also be used as a means to convey a moral message and also tell the history of their ancestors in the past. This research examines traditional singing by taking two songs entitled Tinga Janyawai and Laisomena using a hermeneutical approach. This research aims to transcribe, analyze the meaning and know the function of the song Tinga Janyawai and Laisomena. The method used is qualitative descriptive. After transcribing and analyzing the two songs, data on the use of formulas in the structure of the two songs is obtained in the form of vocabulary repetition patterns that contain synonymous meanings as well as repetition of the same vocabulary on the lines in the verses of the song. The use of these two songs is known to have differences because the song Tinga Janyawai is usually sung in various customary ceremonies and the ordinary people sing it as a means of entertainment. While the song Laisomena is a song sung by a balian dadas when performing a healing ritual. Even so, these two songs seem to have similarities, namely telling the story of the separation of Patih and Uria and their family members to their desired territory because the kingdom of Nansarunai has fallen into the hands of the enemy, known as the event of Nansarunai usak Java. In addition to the parting, Dayak Maanyan ancestors also parted ways with Dayak Maanyan relatives from Tane Punei Lului in the group there was Laisomena, who married Prince Engko, the fourth child of King Nansarunai. In addition, in this customary song contains values ??and moral teachings to always shoulder to shoulder helping fellow Maanyan people in accordance with the ability and position in society. The presence of these two songs in the Dayak Maanyan community, of course, has a function. In addition to serving as entertainment, this song can also be used as a means in inheriting the noble values ??of the Dayak Maanyan community. This inheritance is of course necessary to be able to be the knowledge of the younger generation, both cultural, moral, and historical knowledge. In addition, by introducing this song, it is hoped that the younger generation can know the meaning of the vocabulary used in the lyrics of the song so as to enrich the treasures of regional language knowledge.

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to describe the form of educational values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata (2019). The specific objectives of this study are: (1) to describe religious values (2) to describe moral values (3) how the social values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata (4) describe aesthetic values (5) describe cultural values. is a descriptive qualitative research. The data used in this research are words and quotes from the novel. The data source used is the novel entitled Ordinary People. Data techniques are carried out using literature study techniques, reading techniques, and note-taking techniques. , and inference. The results of this study indicate the data 1) there are two religious values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 2) there are eight moral values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 3) there are four social values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 4) there are two aesthetic values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 5) there are two cultural values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata.

Abstract

This study aims to describe sexuality regarding various dimensions, namely (1) biological dimensions, (2) social dimensions, (3) psychological dimensions, and (4) cultural dimensions, in Sunyi, Sumirah, and Suntini characters, in Sunyi di Dada. Sumirah by Artie Ahmad, and the objectives (5) its implications for learning literature in high school. This study uses a feminist literary criticism approach and qualitative research types. Based on the results of data analysis, the four dimensions of sexuality are found in the novel Sunyi di Dada Sumirah by Artie Ahmad. Research findings: The most dominant data is the dimension of sexuality regarding the biological dimension because in the novel Sunyi di Dada Sumirah tells a lot about the sexual urges of the three characters, namely Sunyi, Sumirah, and Suntini. The results of this study have implications for literature learning in class XI high school with basic competencies (3.20). Analyzing the messages of the two fiction books (novels and poetry collection books) that are read, namely as teaching materials. The four dimensions of sexuality in the novel Sunyi di Dada Sumirah can be used as teaching materials in Indonesian language learning materials, as the material for analyzing moral messages in the novel. There are many life problems faced by Sunyi, Sumirah, and Suntini characters in living their lives, but they are people who never give up, even though their lives are not very pleasant, so from these stories students can take lessons to be better able to protect themselves in their lives. association, environment and people around, so that students are able to have principles so that they are not easily influenced by things that are not good for themselves.

Abstract

This research specifically is (1) to determine the role of literacy in learning Indonesian at SMP in Palangka Raya, (2) to determine the function of literacy in learning Indonesian at SMP in Palangka Raya, (3) to determine the application of literacy movements in learning Indonesian at SMP in Palangka Raya. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The object of research is the distribution of questionnaires (questionnaires) filled with 120 students at SMP Palangka Raya and Indonesian language teachers at SMP Palangka Raya. The questionnaire was analyzed, the focus of the analysis was the application of the school literacy movement. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that (1) The role of the literacy movement in learning Indonesian at SMP in Palangka Raya can be categorized as very good with the highest percentage of students, namely 83% and the percentage of teachers 85% with very good percentage, (2) The function of literacy movements in learning Indonesian SMP in Palangka Raya can be categorized as good with the highest percentage of students, namely 78% and the percentage of teachers 100% in the very good category, (3) The application of the literacy movement in learning Indonesian at SMP in Palangka Raya can be categorized as good the highest in students is 87% and the percentage of teachers is 100% in the very good category.

Abstract

This study examines the role of local wisdom in the context of forest preservation in the context of the Dayak Ngaju culture in Central Kalimantan. The purpose of this study is to explore the role of animals in Dayak culture using a semiotic approach. The data collection process was carried out by interviewing traditional leaders and damang. The material obtained from the interview was transcribed and analyzed. The results of the analysis show that the role of the animal is not only sacred forest (sacred forest but also as a conservation that is in accordance with the context of preserving forests and nature nationally and globally. Studies on the issue of local wisdom in the local context are in line with global issues in preserving and preserving nature or conservation. forest area A local concept that is in line with and commensurate with local and global meanings can synergize the process of harmonizing relations between local, national and global (think localy and act globaly).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan struktur, nilai edukatif melalui karakter tokoh utama novel Si Anak Spesial karya Tere Liye serta kaitannya dengan cerita inspiratif pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskritif kualitatif dengan analisis isi dan keabsahan data trianggulasi teori. Pendekatan sastra dalam penelitian ini adalah sosiologi sastra. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik pustaka, teknik simak, dan teknik catat. Data berupa nilai-nilai edukatif yang dianalisis dengan model interaktif, yaitu pengumpulan, reduksi, dan sajian data serta simpulan/ verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Terdapat struktur yang ditemukan antara lain, tema, alur, tokoh, penokohan, latar, gaya bahasa, dan amanat. Keterkaitan antar unsur dalam novel tersebut bersama-sama membentuk suatu makna cerita yang banyak menyimpan nilai-nilai edukatif. 2) Nilai edukatif yang ditemukan antara lain nilai religi, moral, sosial, dan budaya. 3) Nilai edukatif tersebut relevan sebagai bahan ajar cerita inspiratif. Sesuai Kompetensi Dasar (KD) nilai-nilai edukatif telah mencakup kompetensi yang akan dicapai dalam pembelajaran cerita inspiratif. Kemudian dari segi aspek bahasa, aspek psikologis, dan aspek latar belakang budaya antara novel Si Anak Spesial karya Tere Liye dengan bahan ajar juga menunjukkan kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar cerita inspiratif.

Abstract

Banyak remaja khususnya dikalangan anak sekolah menengah atas (SMA) banyak tertarik membaca novel yang mengangkat tema romantisme, jadi banyak yang mengangap novel hanya menyuguhkan percintaan saja padahal jika memiliki kemauan untuk menelusuri dunia novel kenyataannya masih banyak novel-novel karya sastrawan yang ceritanya mengandung pesan-pesan pendidikan, pengetahuan dan nilai sosial yang baik untuk diketahui dan dipahami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan sturktur, nilai-nilai sosial dalam novel Ananta Prahadi dan relevansinya sebagai bahan ajar di SMA. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Objek penelitian material kata, kalimat atau penggalan paragraf yang menunjukkan nila sosial masyarakat dalam novel Ananta Prahadi karya Risa Saraswati. Sedangkan untuk objek penelitian formal adalah tema, tokoh, alur, latar, sudut pandang dan amanat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah novel Ananta Prahadi karya Risa Saraswati.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini ialah 1) ditemukan struktur novel Ananta Prahadi karya Risa Saraswati antara lain tema, alur, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, sudut pandang dan amanat yang saling berkaitan dan saling membangun cerita. 2) nilai sosial dalam novel Ananta Prahadi karya Risa Saraswati mengandung nilai sosial yakni nilai kasih sayang (pengabdian, menolong, kesetiaan dan kepedulian; Nilai tanggung jawab (nilai rasa memiliki, disiplin dan empati; Nilai keserasian hidup (keadilan, toleransi, kerja sama, dan demokrasi. 3) struktur novel Ananta Prahadi karya Risa Saraswati dan nilai-nilai sosial yang terkandung didalam novel tersebut relevan sebagai bahan ajar di SMA kelas XI KD 3.7 Menganalisis nilai-nilai (budaya, sosial, moral, agama, dan pendidikan) dalam novel yang sesuai dengan ketentuan kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam novel Catatan Juang karya Fiersa Besari, serta relevansinya sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMA. Penggunaan gaya bahasa yang digunakan dalam novel Catatan Juang yaitu gaya bahasa perbandingan, perulangan, sindiran, pertentangan, dan penegasan. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kalimat yang memiliki gaya bahasa perbandingan, sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah novel yang berjudul Catatan Juang karya Fiersa Besari. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pustaka, teknik simak, dan teknik catat yang digunakan untuk mempermudah mengumpulkan data yang berupa kalimat yang memilki gaya bahasa tertentu. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan adalah ditemukan 121 gaya bahasa yang terdiri dari gaya bahasa hiperbola berjumlah 45, metanomia 5, personifikasi 20, perumpamaan 35, pleonasme 5, metafora 3, simile 3, asosiasi 3, dan hipalase 5. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan memiliki kelayakan sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMA yaitu dalam segi bahasa, psikologi, dan latar belakang. Serta mampu diterapkan dalam KD 3.9.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan citraan dalam kumpulan puisi Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua Karya Boy Candra. Citraan yang dimaksud adalah (1) Citraan penglihatan, (2) citraan pendengaran, (3) citraan perabaan, (4) citraan penciuman, (5) citraan rasaan/pencecapan, (6) citraan gerak. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu puisi Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua Karya Boy Candra yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2016. Wujud data dalam penelitian ini berupa baris yang menunjukan adanya aspek citraan dalam kumpulan puisi Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua Karya Boy Candra. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik baca dan catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat 121 data dan enam jenis citraan pada kumpulan puisi Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua yaitu (1) Citraan penglihatan berjumlah 60 data, (2) citraan pendengaran berjumlah 23 data, (3) citraan perabaan 30 data, (4) citraan penciuman berjumlah 2 data, (5) citraan rasaan/pencecapan berjumlah 3 data, (6) citraan gerak berjumlah 3 data. Citraan yang paling dominan digunakan dalam kumpulan puisi Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua Boy Candra adalah citraan penglihatan.
