Abstract

Penelitian ini berkenaan dengan maraknya pemberitaan kematian akibat COVID-19 di televisi untuk diukur dampaknya dalam menciptakan kecemasan pada kalangan mahasiswa di Kota Tangerang dalam melakukan berbagai aktivitas kesehariannya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari intensitas frekuensi menonton tayangan pemberitaan kematian akibat COVID-19 di televisi pada tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa kota Tangerang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma positivistik dengan metode survei yang melibatkan kehandalan teknologi berjejaring terfasilitasi google form untukdisebarkan kepada mahasiswa Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilakukan melibatkan sejumlah analisis terperinci, mulai dari Pengujian Validitas dan Reliabilitas instrumen riset, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan Uji Normalitas, Uji Heteroskedastisitas, hingga diakhiri dengan Uji T sebagai upaya pemerolehan jawaban atas hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya tingkat kecemasan akibat tontonan pemberitaan kematian akibat COVID-19 dengan frekuensi yang cukup sering. Sejalan dengan Hypodermic Needle Theory bahwa media massa mempunyai kekuatan yang sangat besar dalam membentuk perubahan perilaku manusia. Didukung pula Teori Kultivasi yang memandang bahwa semakin lama menonton televisi maka khalayaknya dapat membayangkan berita di televisi menjadi senyata-nyatanya terjadi pada diri dan/atau sekeliling terdekat kita. Hasil penelitian mengimplikasi bahwa pesan yang didistribusikan televisi mengenai Pandemi COVID-19 dapat memberikan efek kepanikan kepada khalayak. Temuan ini didukung oleh frekuensi khalyaak menerima informasi COVID-19 yang mempengaruhi tingkat kecemasan, sehingga perubahan perilaku dalam khalayak menjadi lebih jelas.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has its power in providing major changes for the development of the world. ICT can be utilized by all fields of work, both tourism, education, health, and even agriculture. Therefore, at this time farmers must be able to follow the development of existing technology, it is intended that agricultural products can meet the food needs of the Indonesian people. In addition, with ICT tools, agricultural businesses can also be developed. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the use of ICT for agriculture and analyze the level of use of ICT for farmers. The method used in this research is a survey method and is supported by qualitative data with in-depth interviews and literature study. The results showed several individual characteristics that were different from previous studies. The intensity of the use of ICT tools by farmers is included in the medium category with a variety of ICT uses that are currently often used, namely smartphones.

Abstract

The worldwide Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous influence on society, notably on farmer households in Desa Pasirtalaga, Kecamatan Telagasari, Kabupaten Karawang. The Covid-19 virus, as well as government regulations such as PPKM, can be a stressor that puts farming households in crisis situation. Farmer households' social capital is one of their buffer capacities that can be used as a basis in times of distress. The goal of this study is to look at farmer households' social capital in terms of the three components of social capital: norms, networks, and trust. Purposive sampling was employed to determine the approach used in this study, which is a quantitative method backed by qualitative data. Respondents were 40 farmer households which were determined by purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the social capital of farmer households in Desa Pasirtalaga is of high value, especially in the level of compliance with norms, and the level of trust in the social environment. So, it can be concluded that social capital is very important for farmer households in Pasirtalaga Village during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Pada bulan Juni 2021 media sosial Twitter dihebohkan dengan kritikan pedas yang dilayangkan oleh Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia (BEM UI) terhadap presiden Jokowi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap sikap yang dibangun oleh majalah Tanwirul Afkar dalam menanggapi kritikan BEM UI terhadap Jokowi. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata, frase, klausa, kalimat atau paragraf berupa tanggapan terkait kritikan BEM UI terhadap Jokowi dalam majalah Tanwirul Afkar (TA) edisi September 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan model analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough yang meliputi analisis teks, praktik kewacanaan, dan praktik sosio-kultural. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) berdasarkan analisis teks terdapat adanya sikap netral TA yang membentuk citra negatif terhadap kedua belah pihak yaitu BEM UI dan Jokowi, (2) analisis praktik kewacanaan dipusatkan pada pemilihan narasumber dan pemilihan isu yang disajikan kemudian ditinjau dari perspektif islam, hal ini karena majalah TA merupakan media yang dipublikasikan di lingkungan pesantren sehingga ideologi islam lebih ditonjolkan, (3) analisis praktik sosio-kultural didasarkan pada tiga konteks yaitu situasional, institusional, dan sosial.

Abstract

Masyarakat Baduy Luar (Outer Baduy) secara umum telah mengalami perubahan lingkungan sosial pada penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Berbeda dengan masyarakat Baduy Dalam (Inner Baduy) yang masih konsisten menolak pengaruh globalisasi demi menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dan keberlangsungan budaya. Bagi masyarakat Baduy Luar penggunaan media digital handphone dan alat modern sebenarnya adalah larangan adat, tetapi mereka tetap memaksakan menggunakannya karena kebutuhan dan kelonggaran dari pemuka adat (Kokolot). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perilaku komunikasi dan kemampuan literasi informasi media digital masyarakat Baduy Luar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi literatur untuk data sekunder. Tahapan analisis melalui reduksi data dengan tiga pengodean utama yaitu open coding, axial coding, dan selective coding. Penyajian data secara naratif dengan pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan analisis triangulasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sebagai kesimpulan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor adat istiadat memiliki implikasi yang sangat kuat terhadap kemampuan literasi informasi media digital, hambatan komunikasi yang terjadi, dan perilaku komunikasi bermedia digital masyarakat Baduy Luar di era Internet of Things (IoT).

Abstract

The communication channel is a media for sustainable agricultural development and the use of innovation and technology for improving people's welfare without ignoring the preservation of natural and environmental resources. The government encourages the application of geomembrane technological innovations in salt production with the aim of increasing the productivity and quality of the salt produced. The purpose of this reseach is to describe the communication channels and perceptions of people's salt farmers on geomembrane technology innovation, and analyze the correlation of communication channels with perceptions of salt pond technology innovation. The unit of analysis is community salt farmers in the Gersik Putih village and Sentol Daya village, Sumenep Regency, with 68 respondents. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation method. The result of the research showed that the bottom of the salt salt farmer uses all communication channels except internet hybrid media. The lowest perception is the level of complexity and the highest perception is the level of trialability in geomembrane technology. Interpersonal communication channel related to perceptions of innovation on the characteristics of the level of relative advantage, level of compatibility, and level of observability. While group communication netagative relates to the level of trialability.

Abstract

Mempersiapkan karier masa depan termasuk tugas perkembangan yang harus dijalani oleh remaja usia SMK, terlebih bagi para lulusan SMK yang diharapkan dapat diterima di dunia usaha dan industri. Orang tua, guru, dan teman sebaya merupakan faktor eksternal yang memengaruhi kematangan karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kematangan karier siswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan status sekolah lalu menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi siswa dengan orang tua, guru dan teman sebaya terhadap kematangan kariernya. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan memilih responden sebanyak 84 siswa SMK kelas XII di dua SMK berstatus negeri dan dua SMK berstatus swasta di Kabupaten Tangerang yang dipilih secara purposive. Data kematangan karier dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan data komunikasi dianalisis dengan bantuan Smart PLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kematangan karier siswa mayoritas pada kategori sedang sebesar 59,52%, kategori rendah sebesar 29,79%, dan kategori tinggi 10,71% serta siswa perempuan memiliki angka kematangan karier lebih tinggi daripada siswa laki-laki (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara komunikasi siswa SMK dengan guru terhadap kematangan karier namun tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara komunikasi siswa SMK dengan orang tua dan teman sebaya terhadap kematangan karier. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi komunikasi dengan layanan bimbingan karier dan konseling oleh guru di sekolah dapat meningkatkan kematangan karier siswa.

Abstract

Wastewater has great potential to be a valuable resource for society. In both developed and developing countries, the issue of wastewater recycling has always been an important topic. This is because wastewater contains many substances which if properly treated can provide various benefits, such as reducing environmental pollution, organic fertilizers, and renewable energy sources. This study aims to describe how the communication strategy for the development of the Research Center for Environmental and Clean Technology (PRLTB BRIN) to diffuse wastewater treatment technology in Sumedang Regency and Bandung City, Indonesia. This study uses an In-depth interview, literature studies, and observations were conducted to analyse how the communication strategy and the stages of innovation diffusion took place. The results showed that the diffusion of the Biogas WWTP technology innovation went well until the confirmation stage. The participatory strategy with interpersonal communication channels is the main basis for the application of Biogas WWTP technology. Meanwhile, the learning design strategy with interpersonal communication strengthened the compost toilet trial at SDN 210 Babakan Sinyar. The diffusion stage of the compost toilet innovation at SDN 210 Babakan Sinyar is still at the decision stage.

Abstract

Various business sectors in Indonesia, which began operating again during the Covid-19 pandemic, must be balanced with innovations in health protocol standards as recommended by the government. One company that implements its health protocol innovation is Gojek with J3K: jaga kesehatan, kebersihan, dan keamanan (maintain health, cleanliness, and safety) which has 3 pillars, namely education, technology, and infrastructure. This study aims to determine the effect of Gojek's PR campaign #PesanDariRumah on consumer awareness in complying with Gojek’s J3K protocol. The #PesanDariRumah PR campaign in this study focused on all three #PesanDariRumah videos uploaded on Gojek Indonesia's official YouTube channel. This study has independent variables, namely PR campaigns with dimensions of message structure, message content, framing, language, and emotional appeal, and has a dependent variable, namely, consumer awareness with cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. This study uses an explanatory quantitative research method with data collection techniques using online questionnaires to 96 respondents. The results showed that there was a positive effect with a correlation coefficient of 0.550, including a moderate level of relationship between Gojek's #PesanDariRumah PR campaign and consumer awareness in complying with Gojek’s J3K protocol.

Abstract

This paper seeks to discuss local television content in Jombang and tourism potential in Jombang City. The research was conducted at Ringin Corong Television (RCTV) with qualitative descriptive research methods. The object of research is this Village Cruising Event is an event that seeks to raise various information about tourism in the Jombang area. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the Village Cruising event tried to lift the potential in villages such as livestock, agriculture, to natural tourism. Through the Village Cruising event program, it is expected to increase the promotion of tourism potential in the city of Jombang. RCTV also promotes its business through social media which can indirectly increase the range of information about RCTV and potential in Jombang City.
