Abstract

This service is carried out because the MTs-MA Darul Azhar teacher's understanding has not been maximized to prepare the Latest RPP in accordance with the Minister of Education and Culture's Circular Letter Number 14 of 2019. The purpose of this service is to socialize and provide training on making the Latest RPP to MTs-MA Darul Azhar teachers. The method used to solve problems in this community service program is service learning. The results of this service are (1) the MTs-MA Darul Azhar teacher has been given trick material for compiling the Latest RPP; (2) MTs-MA Darul Azhar teachers have been able to prepare the Latest RPP properly and according to components. There were several things that were found during the socialization and training for the preparation of the Latest RPP, as follows: (1) The latest RPP compiled by the participants of the socialization still exceeded one page; (2) the preparation of learning objectives that have not followed the Audience, Behavior, Condition, and Degree (ABCD) format; (3) participants still have difficulty choosing the right learning model with the material and characteristics of students; (4) several student learning activities that are in accordance with the syntax of the selected learning model; and (5) participants were confused in determining the assessment related to the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. The findings during the socialization and training have been improved, so that participants understand and are able to prepare the Latest RPP well. This socialization and training is expected to improve the pedagogic abilities of teachers as participants. Hopefully in the future the pedagogic competence of teachers in compiling the latest RPP will improve.

Abstract

In the era of School from Home (SFH) due to the outbreak of Covid-19 has certainly affected the learning process for all students. Students and teachers have to plunge into the new world in which they must adapt to the new pattern of education. Both of them, like it or not, should immerse in digital world, in the sense they have to acquire technology to run teaching learning process by virtual. For this reason, it is necessary for the team of Community Service (PkM) of Muhammadiyah University of Prof. Dr. Hamka to participate in supporting teachers’ teaching learning process at SMK Muhammadiyah 15 Jakarta to equip them with the knowledge of selecting the appropriate digital media for better teaching. The method used is giving training how to select digital media before implementing in the class. Therefore, this training started with a questionnaire, recognizing learning problems, selecting suitable digital media and putting them in a research proposal.  The results of training show that the teachers are able to recognize learning problems, select the appropriate digital media, and put them in a research proposal. Through the post-questionnaire, the teachers realized the importance of selecting suitable digital media for virtual teaching in the time of online learning.

Abstract

The literacy activities of Tegal Municipality society show significant development where the government pays attention to the people by providing literacy facilities and programs. The people are also active in producing literary works and texts that can be used for language learning. On the other hand, advances in digital technology have not been widely utilized for the development of this potential. Therefore, UPS Tegal collaborates with Poddium to develop the digitalization of literacy media for language and literature education to create an Independent Learning-Independent Campus ecosystem. The purpose of transforming people's works from text to audio format is that these works can reach wider audience to improve the people's literacy. This program involved 17 lecturers, 70 students, and 2 literacy communities. Students are given trainings of script selection, audiobook and podcast production, and product distribution. Then, students are supervised to produce 20 audiobooks and 50 podcasts which are then uploaded to the Poddium's application. The target beneficiaries of this product can access the application for free for the first 6 months, namely students, schools, libraries, and people in general. This program was supported by the government through Matching Fund of Kedaireka from the Directorate General of Higher Education in 2021.

Abstract

This study aims to examine public perceptions and participation in the management of sand mining in Bandar Batauga Village, Batauga District, South Buton Regency with a qualitative approach. The research location is in Bandar Batauga Village. The study was conducted in June 2021. The research population was the people of Bandar Batauga, while the research sample was 50 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by means of observation and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results showed that the majority of respondents agreed that sand mining activities had damaged the environment so that additional efforts were needed for sand mining management and the role of the Regional Government was needed to participate in preserving the environment. However, this sand mining activity is still needed by the residents. The largest community participation in the management of sand mining is provided through the provision of advice and input regarding better sand mining management, followed by warnings that sand mining activities will pose a danger and have a negative impact on the environment.

Abstract

Since the discovery of the Pancoair recreational sports design, quite a number of program activities have been carried out to develop and promote Pancoair. Among them are obtaining the Uberhaki Program from the Director General of Higher Education in 2001 to propose a Pancoair Patent, obtaining a MURI certificate in 2002, obtaining the Student Alternative Work Program in 2003, which was used to promote Pancoair throughout the districts of the former Surakarta Residency. In 2008 we held Pancoair performances and socialization in several swimming pools, including: at the Manahan Solo swimming pool, the Pengging Boyolali swimming pool, the Kartasuro Kopasus swimming pool, the Jolotundo Klaten swimming pool, and the Karanganyar swimming pool. In 2012, there were 300 Pancoair Seminars and Shows conducted by POK UTP students. In 2016-2019 the sport of Pancoair has been placed in the Muslim Oubond "Istiqlal Outbind" at the Sujono Taruno Foundation Orphanage. Where children who play oubond also play Pancoair.Given the enthusiasm of the community with the sport of pancoair, the planned future activities include: Will cooperate with the industry to produce Pancoair Pedestals. Will collaborate with Tourism Offices throughout Indonesia to hold Pancoair Recreational Sports in several swimming pools. Will cooperate with hotels that have swimming pools, which can be used for Pancoair recreational sports. Will make a special Pancoair swimming pool at the Tunas Pembangunan Solo Sports Center and invite and train sports teachers in playing the Pancoair sport.

Abstract

The suitability of the competence of Vocational High School graduates with the needs in the industry is absolutely necessary. The Center for Excellence Vocational School (SMK PK) program is a program that encourages a comprehensive and harmonious relationship between schools and industry. The SMK PK program covers the areas of curriculum, learning, increasing the number and role of instructors from industry, industrial practice, competency certification, technology updates, applied research, and the uptake of graduates by the world of work. The SMK PK program mentioned above is certainly a new challenge for both schools and teachers. The purpose of this community service is to identify the challenges faced by schools and teachers in the PK Vocational School Program. This is important to do because through this identification activity, community service activities will be carried out according to needs. The method used is in-depth interviews to obtain comprehensive information on the challenges faced by schools and teachers. The results obtained are that schools still face difficulties in establishing relationships with industry so that it has an impact on curriculum development, learning implementation, the presence of instructors from industry, and work internships. While the problem faced by teachers is understanding of the operational curriculum, limited information and training, many new terms are used in the curriculum. Therefore, facilitation of partnering with industry and training on teacher understanding of the curriculum need to be carried out.

Abstract

AJENG (Application Don't Cheat Using the Method G-Score) is a platform learning with a virtual approach system using a continuous problem analysis system. Not only that, AJENG has developed various kinds of virtual-based learning services such as learning videos delivered directly by experts, online classes, education games to overcome boredom and an online exam platform that is accompanied by AI technology, namely face and sound detection so that it can reduce cheating activities that often occur, and done by each student. The presence of feature helps game this create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere: Learning While Playing. The system of auto play game this uses the Method G-Score, which is the cumulative ability of students using simple number assessments based on game value skills and test results.

Abstract

The presence of English has become part of the classroom language in schools. This is carried out as a form of contribution and enrichment of teacher professionalism in dealing with educational developments according to the demands of the times. However, there is still a lack of optimization of English competence in implementing classroom language mastery in the process of teaching and learning activities in schools. To maximize the basic competence of classroom language, SMK Jakarta Pusat 1 has implemented classroom language through gradual English language training. This is expected to improve the quality of human resources, schools, and be able to reflect on students to apply their English skills globally. Class language in general can be said as English expressions used in communicating in class between teachers and students. The teachers of SMK Central Jakarta 1 have been given language training in previous classes. After that, a supervision program for the use of classroom language was given between teachers and students. This supervision activity aims to improve the ability of teachers of SMK Central Jakarta 1 in mastering relevant and effective classroom language and stimulate students' competence to be able to speak English. The results of the questionnaire proved that all teachers responded positively and achieved good marks for non-English teachers. This means that the implementation of bilingualism in SMK Central Jakarta 1 can be effectively realized optimally.

Abstract

Abstract Indonesia has long been known as a producer of various and high-quality spices. Although the export of spices in the form of raw materials has increased, the growth rate of export of Indonesian spice products is still lower than the volume of imports from 2013 to 2017. The percentage of Indonesian spice imports even reached 30% per year while export growth was only in the range of 8% per year. However, this is inversely proportional to the benefits that is still not maximized. Spice commodities and strengthening export growth must receive systematic and comprehensive support. Increasing public awareness about the importance of the national economy needs to be done through a cross-sectoral approach, especially the empowerment of the spice economy. This study aims to find out how the contribution to strengthening the economic potential of spices can be gained by socializing knowledge about the spice economy aimed at the community, especially the millennial generation and generation Z, which was carried out through social media campaign and online seminar.
