Abstract

Based on observations, there are not many studies that explain the role of teachers in improving the quality of learning. Whereas research on the role of teachers in improving the quality of learning is important. Based on these observations, research will be conducted on the role of teachers in improving the quality of learning. This research method uses qualitative research methods with the type of literature study. The teacher's role in improving the quality of learning is to implement a learning system according to conditions, the knowledge provided is in accordance with the development of science and technology, quality learning resources for students, the language in learning resources can be understood, and to provide character education to students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship simultaneously and partially between online learning on interest, motivation and learning achievement of students in Buddhist subjects at SMP Maitreyawira Palembang. This study used a quantitative method. The samples taken in the study were 48 people using purposive sampling technique. This study used a questionnaire which was distributed to 48 students. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis of research data showed that the regression value of 0.914 indicated that there was a significant relationship between online learning and interest, motivation and learning achievement. Fvalue calculated (74.543) was greater than Ftable (2.82), this means that there was a joint significant influence between online learning on interest, motivation and learning achievement. The value of the coefficient of determination showed that the percentage of the influence of online learning on interest, motivation and learning achievement is 83.6% while the remaining 16.4% was influenced by other variables. And obtained the value of the ttest, the tvalue of (3.963), motivation was (3.022), and learning achievement was (2.893) with a ttable of (1.679). This shows that online learning partially has a significant relationship to students' interest, motivation and learning achievement.

Abstract

Fostering adolescent morale can apply the role of understanding Metta to adolescents, in that way it can teach teenagers to have metta traits, behave well, and have good manners. Metta is a sense of brotherhood, friendship, selfless help, having the will to do good, seeing other creatures as equal to oneself. Metta is also a desire to make others happy and get rid of hatred and evil desires that will hurt other people and other beings. Realizing the above, the writer tries to conduct a research that aims to describe the role of understanding metta to improve the morale of adolescents at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang with teaching based on love in a Buddhist perspective. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects in this study were the Principal, Educators of Buddhist Education Learning, Students and Parents of SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang students. The object of this research is the role of understanding metta in the Buddhist perspective to improve the morale of adolescents at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang. The location of this research is at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang. Data collection techniques are the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. And the results of the study show that the role of understanding metta in students at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang can be seen from the increased morale of students such as caring attitudes between others, honesty, politeness when speaking, respecting educators, helping each other, developing from understanding the role of metta.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of online games on the learning activities of the students of Dharma Mulia Elementary School. This research uses a qualitative type of descriptive research. The data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation based on the instruments that have been compiled. The data analysis uses data displays to make it easier for readers to understand the research results. The subjects in this study were the Principal, Class V teacher, parents, and the fifth grade Buddhist students at Dharma Mulia Elementary School. The results of this study indicate that the impact of online games for the fifth grade students of Dharma Mulia Elementary School is influenced by the pattern of student play, and the duration of online games which can have an impact of online games on student learning activities. The patterns of playing games are classified in several ways, namely when to play online games, places to play online games, and transactions in online games. The duration of online games played by Dharma Mulia Elementary School students is grouped into several phases, including durations of less than one hour, one to three hours, and more than three hours in one day. The impact of online games on student learning activities shows that there are two impacts, namely the negative impact and the positive impact. The negative impact on student learning activities, among others, on mental activities. and emotional activities. The negative impact on the mental activities is less responsive when learning, and solving problems or that learning achievement decreases. The impact of emotional activities on the fifth grade students of Dharma Mulia Elementary School is lack of interest in learning, feels bored, dares, and speaks harshly. The positive impact on the learning activities of Dharma Mulia Elementary School students. The positive impact of the online games on student learning activities, is the high socialization. The application of Visuddhimagga to overcome the online games can be carried out with several alternative activities. The first activity that can be done is by advocating or training the student to practice atthasila and to training the student to meditate either independently or by including the student in the retreat.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the factors that influence Buddhist youth in Candi Village, Candigaron Village, Sumowono District, Semarang Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The research data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data the was tested by diligent observation, triangulation, and member check. Data analysis is based on the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as verification. The results of this study indicate that the factors that cause dropout in Buddhist adolescents in Dusun Candi consist of two factors, namely internal and external. The internal factors are factors that come from within the youth themselves, such as the is low motivation/interest to go to school. External factors are factors that come from outside the youth, such as economic, socio-cultural and geographical limitations. Furthermore, the effects of Buddhist dropouts are included in the four mental powers (iddhipada) consisting of chanda, viriya, citta, and vimaṁsā.
