Abstract

This research aimed to reduce misconception and improve the scientific process skill in the X MIA 2 graders of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta through the application of E-Module based on Problem-Based Learning. This study was a Classroom Action Research consisting of 2 cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of research was the X MIA 2 graders of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta consisting of 42 students. Techniques of collecting data used were multiple choice test and observation to measured scientific process skill, open-ended reasoning of Two-Tier Diagnostic Test to measure misconseption, and interveiw as the proponent data related learning process. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative technique consist of three component: data reduction, data presentation, and taking the conclusion. Data validation was carried out using triangulation method. Target of research was 20% to reduced misconseption and 30% to increased scientific process skill at the end of the cycle. The result of research showed that there was a decreased misconception in ecological concept: population of 51.31%, community of 43.73%, ecosystem of 39.36, and science, environment, technology and community (salingtemas) ecology of 54.33%. On the other side, the  result of research also showes that there was an increased scientific process skill in all aspects: observing of 36.52%, categorizing of 19.95%, predicting of 32.92%, interpreting of 33.75%, measuring of 35.66%, communicating of 38.31%, designing experiment of 48.80%, experimenting of 41.38%, asking question of 31.02%, hypothesizing of 31.62%, and applying concept of 39.38%. The conclusion of this research describes that the application of E-Module based on Problem-Based Learning is able to reduce misconception and improve the scientific process skill among the students. Keywords: E-Module based on Problem Based Learning, scientific process skill, misconception.

Abstract

Colletotricum capsici  dan  Colletotricum acutatum merupakan kapang penyebab penyakit antraknosa yang mengakibatkan penurunan produktivitas tanaman cabai.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya antagonis  Trichoderma  harzianum  terhadap pertumbuhan kapang patogen Colletotricum  dan mengetahui mekanisme antagonis yang terjadi di antara kedua jenis kapang tersebut. Uji antagonis dilakukan dengan dua metode yaitu metode dual culture  dan  culture filtrate. Selain itu juga dilakukan pengamatan mikroskopis untuk mengetahui adanya perubahan morfologi hifa. Pengamatan terhadap pertumbuhan miselium pada metode dual culture menunjukkan bahwa T.harzianum menekan pertumbuhan  C.  capsici  dan  C.  acutatum  masing-masing sebesar  28,5% dan 30,4%. Adapun pengujian dengan metode  culture filtrate menunjukkan bahwa persentase penghambatan pertumbuhan C. capsici dan C. acutatum oleh T.harzianum masing-masing sebesar  22,2% dan 37,5%. Mekanisme antagonis yang terjadi antara T. harzianum  dan C.capsici dan C.acutatum diperkirakan berupa kompetisi dan antibiosis.Keywords: antagonistic, Trichoderma harzianum, Colletotricum, antraknosa

Abstract

Siwalan (Borassus flabellifer L.) is widespread in Pamekasan one in the village Kertagenah Laok Kadur district. Potential abundant palm still has the potential to be developed into a usefull and economically product one is nata de nira siwalan. Quality of nata can be influenced by the type and concentration of sugar. The result of this research could be developed into teaching materials in the form of handouts for class XII students MAN Pamekasan. Purpose of this study stated to produce Biotechnology handout for XII students of MAN Pamekasan. This research is conduc-ted by 2 step that is experimental research and developing handout based on the result of experimental study. Expe-rimental research is aim to assess the influence of type and concentration of sugar to the weight of nata de nira siwalan. Result of this research showed that there is significant effect of type and concentration of sugar on the quality of nata de nira siwalan by fiber content of nata layer. Biotechnology handout was fit for use in assisting the teaching and learning activity with the percentage <p> 96,96% by an Microbiology expert and 96,05% by teaching materials expert.Keywords : nata de nira siwalan, macam gula, handout, bioteknologi

Abstract

This aims of Classroom Action Research (PTK) study to determine the increase of science learning outcomes through audio visual media with Cooperative Script learning model on the students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ceper. The subjects of the study were the students number 30 of class VIII A. This research was conducted through two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle took four stages: planning, action execution, and evaluation or reflection. This research was conducted by involving researchers who act as teachers and assisted by science teachers as observers of student and teacher activities. The results showed that there was an increase of each cycle. In the pre test the average grade of 65.13 and who complete the study of 9 students or 30%. After learning through audio visual media with Cooperative Script learning model in the first cycle, the average score of 72.16, students finished learning was 18 or 60%. In the cycle II the average score of students is 81.2 and 26 studentsfinished learning was or 86.66%. The results of learning science through audio visual media with Cooperative Script learning model on the students of class VIII A showed a significant increase at SMP Negeri 1 Ceper.

Abstract

Dalam rangka menghadapi persaingan ketat di era globalisasi yang serba cepat dan  mudahnya penyebaran informasi, perlun adanya upaya menciptakan peradaban yang ilmiah dalam kehidupan di masyarakat. Budaya penelitian memang telah harus dikenalkan kepada para siswa sejak dini. Memupuk budaya penelitian pada kalangan siswa adalah tidak mudah, sehingga perlu strategi khusus untuk membangun tradisi ilmiah siswa.  Penelitian berjudul Aplikasi Pembelajaran Ekstrakurikuler KIR Berwawasan SETS Untuk Membangun Tradisi Ilmiah Siswa Di SMA Negeri 1 Depok, bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas aplikasi pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler KIR berwawasan SETS sehingga mampu membangun tradisi ilmiah siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  melalui studi kasus menggunakan kuisioner dengan responden dari warga SMA Negeri 1 Depok yang diambil teknik pengambilan sampel proportional random sampling yang kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriprif. Data yang diperoleh memberikan gambaran bahwa aplikasi wawasan SETS dalam pembelajaran KIR efektif untuk menumbuhkan semangat riset pada kalangan siswa sehingga akan mampu membangun tradisi ilmiah siswa  Kata kunci : KIR, SETS, ilmiah

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Asosiasi Konsorsium Bakteri Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes dan Micrococus luteus dengan Lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala (Lamk.) de Wit) Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Bioremediasi Minyak Bumi telah dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Maret 2012 di area jurusan Biologi, Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Jurusan Biologi dan Laboratorium Kimia Analisa Jurusan Kimia, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kerja sama antara tanaman Leucaena leucocephala dengan konsorsium bakteri Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes dan Micrococus luteus dalam proses bioremediasi minyak bumi dengan menghitung penurunan nilai TPH, jumlah sel bakteri dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan. Dimana penanaman lamtoro dilakukan setelah 4 minggu inokulasi bakteri. Variabel yang diamati yaitu penurunan nilai TPH, jumlah populasi bakteri dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Hasil yang didapat, menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan B3 (inokulasi bakteri Micrococus luteus dan Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes dan penanaman lamtoro) menghasilkan rata-rata jumlah sel bakteri tertinggi setiap minggunya, pertambahan berat basah tertinggi mencapai 9,67 ± 2,357 dan penurunan rata-rata nilai TPH tertinggi yaitu sebesar 2,85%. Sedangkan perlakuan yang terendah pada perhitungan rata-rata jumlah sel bakteri terdapat pada B0 (bioreaktor) dan  pada pertambahan berat basah tanaman , B1 (lamtoro saja) memiliki nilai yang terendah yaitu 1,55%. Konsorsium bakteri Micrococus luteus dan Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes menunjukkan kerja sama yang baik dengan lamtoro dalam upaya meningkatkan bioremediasi minyak bumi.Keywords:        Asosiasi,  Bakteri, Lamtoro, Bioremidiasi

Abstract

Abstract - Beluntas leaves contain a variety of active compounds, one of the active compounds, namely tannins. Beluntas leaf tannins can reduce sperm fertilization potential of white rats (Susetyarini, 2010a) and decrease the number of white rat spermatogenic cells (Susetyarini, 2012). However, in these studies have not examined the role of tannins in changing levels of arginine cement white male rats. This aims, administration beluntas leaf tannins in influencing the levels of arginine cement white male rats. This type of research is the experiment with the following treatments: a control group (non-treated) and group treated leaf tannins beluntas. Giving beluntas leaf tannins administered orally as much as 0.8 ml (an effective dose of tannins in inhibiting fertilization of previous research) to white rats once daily for 49 +3, 49 +16, 49 +26, 49 +36, 49 +49 days. Observations were made according to treatment, white rat vas deferens dissected and taken to obtain cement rats. Analysis of the amino acid arginine levels using HPLC. Data were analyzed using ANOVA. The results showed that the effect of tannin There beluntas leaves the amino acid levels arginin white male rats (p <0.05). The control group without treatment giving the average levels of the amino acid arginine 1375.5 mg/100g and the group treated leaf tannins beluntas showed no decrease in the levels of the amino acid arginine of white male rats. Abstract

The research aims to know about the characteristic, advisability, and effectiveness of Subject Specific Pedagogy(SSP) equipment based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to reinforce the environmental literacy of HighSchool students. Environmental literacy consists of knowledge, attitude and concern. The research used theResearch and Development method. Design of this research was using 3-D model from 4-D. This designconsists of define, design and develop, without disseminate concept. The research subject retrieval techniqueby using purposive sampling. The subjects of this research are students of SMAN 1 Surakarta has receivedenvironment’s topic in the classroom. Data collection was done through observation, documentation, questionform and interview. The data analysis techniques in qualitative and quantitative for the device include SSP,analysis question form of environmental literacy, analysis of the results from interview, the homogeneity test,normality test and Non-Paired Sample T-Test. The result of this research are: 1) the characteristic of SSPequipment based on PBL was developed by PBL steps (meeting the problem; problem analyzing; discoveryand reporting; solution, presentation, and reflection; overview, integration and evaluation) and an extradimension of the indicators based on the dimension of anti-anthropocentrism which complement the 5dimensions of the New Ecological Paradigm (NEP) in the indicators, 2) advisability of SSP was measured bytest of validity, limited test, and research subject test 3) The result of Non-Paired Sample T-Test havesignificance on the knowledge, attitude and concern are 0.000 < 0.05. H0 is rejected which showed a differencein effectiveness. The results of this research can reinforce the environmental literacy of High School students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat bahan pembelajaran fungsi enzim  dalam metabolisme  dan materi makromolekul  di sekolah menengah melalui eksperimen pembuatan hidrolisat protein  dengan papain. Diharapkan penelitian ini mampu memberi manfaat dalam membantu guru memberikan contoh nyata aplikasi peranan enzim dan materi makromolekul dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Enzim yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah protease. Protease dari pepaya dikenal sebagai papain. Hidrolisis protein dengan papain kasar menghasilkan hidrolisat protein. Pada penelitian ini, aktivitas papain diuji terhadap substrat kasein  dan penentuan konsentrasi protein hasil hidrolisis dilakukan dengan metode Lowry. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah nilai aktivitas spesifik papain sebesar 7,93 U/mg,. Dari hasil kinetika reaksi enzim diperoleh nilai konstanta Michaelis-Menten (KM) papain 0,028% dengan Vmaks  = 0.75 gram/menit. Kegiatan meneliti dengan topik pembuatan hidrolisat protein ini dapat dipakai sebagai bahan penyusunan model pembelajaran materi peranan enzim dan makromolekul di Sekolah Menengah Atas. Pengalaman meneliti seperti mengisolasi enzim kasar dari bahan alam dan menguji kinetika reaksi enzim merupakan praktik yang dapat diajarkan kepada siswa sehingga mereka dapat memahami pelajaran biologi mengenai peranan enzim dan makromolekul lebih baik. Penelitian  ini juga dapat membantu atau menguatkan pemahaman materi ajar lain seperti laju reaksi, ikatan kimia, dan reaksi kimia organik sehingga tercipta pembelajaran biologi yang terpadu dengan pembelajaran lainnya. Abstract

Abstract: Studi bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir dasar dan kompleks dalam buku teks IPA SMP Kurikulum 2013 dan implementasinya pada proses pembelajaran. Studi dilakukan di kelas VII SMP salah satu sekolah piloting Kurikulum 2013 di kota Bandung dengan metode kualitatif. Sebanyak 37 orang siswa kelas VII dan satu guru IPA terlibat sebagai sampel penelitian. Rubrik analisis buku teks IPA, lembar observasi implementasi keterampilan berpikir dasar dan kompleks dalam aktivitas belajar siswa digunakan sebagai instrumen. Indikator keterampilan berpikir dasar yang dianalisis ada lima meliputi caution, transformations, relationships, classification, dan qualifications. Keterampilan berpikir kompleks yang dianalisis adalah keterampilan berpikir kritis. Indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis yang diukur ada lima yaitu memberi penjelasan sederhana terhadap masalah (elementary clarification), mengumpulkan informasi dasar (basic information), menyimpulkan (inferences), memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut (advanced clarrification), serta mengatur strategi dan taktik (strategy and tactics). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi kemunculan indikator keterampilan berpikir dasar dalam buku teks sebesar 93,33%. Prosentase kemunculan setiap indikator keterampilan berpikir dasar dalam buku teks sebesar 45%. Representasi kemunculan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam buku teks sebesar 80%. Prosentase kemunculan setiap indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam buku teks sebesar 50%. Representasi kemunculan indikator keterampilan berpikir dasar dalam pembelajaran sebesar 80%. Prosentase kemunculan setiap indikator keterampilan berpikir dasar dalam implementasi pembelajaran sebesar 59%. Representasi kemunculan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran sebesar 100%. Prosentase kemunculan setiap indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran sebesar 67%. Indikator keterampilan berpikir dasar yang paling baik pada buku teks yaitu relationships sebesar 58,33%, sedangkan yang paling rendah caution sebesar 25%. Indikator keterampilan berpikir dasar yang paling banyak muncul pada pembelajaran yaitu relationships dan qualifications masing – masing sebesar 100%, sedangkan yang tidak muncul transformation. Indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis yang paling baik pada buku teks yaitu membangun keterampilan dasar sebesar 83,33%, sedangkan yang paling rendah menyimpulkan, penjelasan lebih lanjut serta strategi dan taktik  masing–masing sebesar 33,33%. Indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis yang paling banyak muncul pada pembelajaran yaitu memberi penjelasan sederhana sebesar 100%, sedangkan yang paling rendah membangun keterampilan dasar, penjelasan lebih lanjut, dan strategi dan taktik masing – masing sebesar 50%.
