Program Studi PAK yang ada pada Fakultas Keguruan dan Iimu Pendidikan Kristen- IAKN Kupang, merupakan perpanjangan tangan Tuhan dalam melahirkan pendidik yang berkualitas demi pengembangan ajaran Kristus di Indonesia khususnya NTT, dengan pola merencanakan, mengajar, mendidik, mengarahkan, menolong, monitoring, dan mengevaluasi. Atas dasar inilah perlu dibentuk wadah khusus bagi Program Studi PAK dalam mengembangkan integritas, profesionalitas, inovasi, tanggungjawab dosen dan pegawai untuk mendukung Program Studi PAK menjadi suatu Program Studi yang handal dan terkemuka. Kata Discreet juga memiliki arti Bijaksana, sehingga wadah Jurnal ini diharapkan dapat mempublikasikan tulisan yang memberikan pencerahan dan membuat banyak orang semakin bijaksana dalam melakukan tugas pengajaran Kristen sebagai perwujudan amanat Agung Yesus Kristus.

Abstract

Empathy is the root of morality and should be taught to children. The best place to teach empathy is in the family. Parents are in the very right position to teach empathy to their children. This research article intends to maximize the role of parents in growing children's empathy in Christian families. By using the method of description and literature review to support the description of Bible stories related to empathy, the importance of empathy for children, and the role that parents can play in fostering empathy in children. It is concluded that parents are able to play a maximum role in fostering children's empathy when they understand that parents are the main system in educating children, being proactive, having sensitivity, and positioning themselves to act as coaches for children's empathy.

Abstract

Aims to describe the attention of farmers to their children at home as an effort to improve their learning achievement at the Boentuka Inpres Elementary School, Batuputih District, South Central Timor Regency. This research uses descriptive research method. Then the research results obtained are Family life experience shows that parents, especially in Boentuka Village, most parents are getting less and less with their children because of their busy schedule to meet the increasingly complex needs of life. This is related to the level of learning achievement achieved by children in school. Efforts to improve children's learning achievement is a complex matter because many parties are involved in it, as well as being a factor that affects the achievement of children's learning achievement levels, especially students who come from farmer family backgrounds who are studying.

Abstract

Generation Z with its uniqueness is often a challenge for parents (Millennial generation) in accompanying them. Generation Z is in transition and the digital context that is abundant in information and communication media often makes them carried away by negative currents. Therefore, parental assistance is needed that can be used as a reference. This paper aims to help generation Z parents by offering the attitudes of Z generation parents in accompanying their children. This paper uses a relevant literature study research method. The results of this study are to offer the attitudes of parents in accompanying children, namely: loving children, understanding and knowing children, being present, discernment, speaking, being an example, giving freedom to choose, giving praise, liberating, willing to accompany in a life of faith. In an effort to educate Generation Z, parents can apply several mentoring attitudes. The recommendation of this paper is the attitude of parents in assisting the Alpha generation.

Abstract

The level of education of Sunday school teachers is one of the important factors for Sunday school teaching competence. As a Sunday school teacher who is professional in his field, he is expected to have good teaching competence as well. To determine the effect of education level on the teaching competence of Sunday school teachers at the Bethel Tabernacle Church (GBT) in Lampung Province, a study was conducted regarding this matter. The purpose of this study was to see whether there was an effect of teacher education level on their competence. If the level of education is low, the teaching competence is low, and vice versa. With a quantitative approach, data collection techniques through questionnaires with a Likert scale, and data processing using SPSS obtained a correlation number of 0.308. Based on the correlation coefficient table, this figure is included in the low category. That is, there is a low correlation between Education Level (X) and Teaching Competence (Y). Meanwhile, to see how much the X variable contributes to Y, the determinant coefficient test is carried out and gets a figure of 9.5%.

Abstract

Many Christian education school organizations and Christian religious colleges act in a less Christian way than some public education schools and public colleges, this is because most Christian education organizations lack clear benchmarks of success and Christian organizations usually emphasize on mutual allegiance to a higher purpose. Along with these problems, especially in the governance of the organization of Christian religious education schools and colleges, the ISO 21001:2018 standard has been present for the first time in the world which provides guidance to assist education service providers in providing better services. implementing ISO 21001:2018 is an educational organization that has implemented its education governance with TQM. This study uses a literature study that specifically looks at the eleven quality management principles that are the foundation of the management system of educational organizations in the world and the benefits that can be obtained by schools and colleges and how the strategies are applied, so that the governance of Christian education schools and Christian religious colleges can more quality. The eleven principles of quality management in the management system of educational organizations are: First, Focus on students and other beneficiaries. Second, visionary leadership. Third, HR Engagement. Fourth, the process approach. Fifth, continuous or continuous improvement. Sixth, evidence-based decisions. Seventh, Relationship management. Eighth, social responsibility. Ninth, Accessibility and equity. Tenth, ethical behavior. Eleventh, data protection and security.
