Program Studi PAK yang ada pada Fakultas Keguruan dan Iimu Pendidikan Kristen- IAKN Kupang, merupakan perpanjangan tangan Tuhan dalam melahirkan pendidik yang berkualitas demi pengembangan ajaran Kristus di Indonesia khususnya NTT, dengan pola merencanakan, mengajar, mendidik, mengarahkan, menolong, monitoring, dan mengevaluasi. Atas dasar inilah perlu dibentuk wadah khusus bagi Program Studi PAK dalam mengembangkan integritas, profesionalitas, inovasi, tanggungjawab dosen dan pegawai untuk mendukung Program Studi PAK menjadi suatu Program Studi yang handal dan terkemuka. Kata Discreet juga memiliki arti Bijaksana, sehingga wadah Jurnal ini diharapkan dapat mempublikasikan tulisan yang memberikan pencerahan dan membuat banyak orang semakin bijaksana dalam melakukan tugas pengajaran Kristen sebagai perwujudan amanat Agung Yesus Kristus.

Abstract

In building a house, a strong foundation is needed so that the house that is built is not easily collapsed, even sturdy and earthquake resistant. Likewise in building a family, if the foundation is not strong and healthy, then the family to be built will quickly be destroyed. A healthy and strong family has several characteristics that must be worked on from time to time in order to take root and grow healthier and stronger over time. Using the descriptive qualitative method with a literary approach, it can be concluded that a healthy and strong family is a family that is in accordance with God's original design, where initially the family is God's initiative as the first institution formed by God since the beginning of the creation period. As a result of sin, God's design is broken, the family is broken. The beautiful designs that Allah makes for the family are neglected, each one lives for self-centered interests so that family life becomes unhealthy and insecure and sometimes even some end up in separation. Abstrak Dalam membangun rumah diperlukan fondasi yang kuat agar rumah yang dibangun tidak gampang rubuh bahkan kokoh dan tahan gempa. Demikian juga halnya dalam membangun keluarga, jika fondasinya tidak kuat dan tidak sehat, maka keluarga yang akan dibangun akan cepat hancur. Keluarga yang sehat dan kuat memiliki beberapa ciri yang harus terus diusahakan dari waktu ke waktu agar berakar dan bertumbuh semakin sehat dan kuat seiring dengan perjalanan waktu. Menggunakan metode kulaitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan literature dapat disimpulkan bahwa keluarga yang sehat dan kuat merupakan keluarga yang sesuai dengan rancangan Allah semula yang mana awalnya keluarga adalah inisiatif Allah sebagai institusi pertama yang dibentuk Allah sejak awal masa penciptaan. Akibat dosa maka rancangan Allah rusak, keluarga berantakan. Rancangan indah yang dibuat Allah bagi keluarga diabaikan, masing-masing hidup untuk kepentingan berpusat pada diri sendiri sehingga kehidupan keluarga menjadi tidak sehat dan tidak kuat bahkan tidak jarang beberapa yang berakhir dengan perpisahan.

Abstract

In carrying out the mission of the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus, every believer has the same role to carry it out. Regardless of gender or background, every believer has an equal position in the eyes of God to be directly involved in the field of church ministry without any restrictions. But in reality, there are still some churches that have not been able to accept a woman to be involved in all aspects of church ministry. This happens because there are still churches that assume wrongly about the position and role of women in the church. The purpose of this article is to provide a correct understanding of how to make Biblical truth relevant to the current situation regarding the prohibition of women teaching in the context of 1 Timothy 2: 9-15. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach with the method of exposition of the biblical text. Christian women today can do any ministry in the church, but first understand God's calling in her and respond to it.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought changes in various aspects of human life. Among these is the education system. The question is, what components of education are affected, and how to respond to these implications? This paper aims to explain the changes that must be made in schools so that human resources produced by various educational institutions can compete and contribute globally. Through literature review and content analysis, the discussion shows that current and future curriculum development must complement students' abilities in the academic dimension, life skills, live together, and think critically and creatively. Other invisible skills like interpersonal skills, global-minded citizens, and literacy of the media and information available. The curriculum must also be able to shape students with an emphasis on the field, referring to ICT-based learning, the internet of things, big data and computers, as well as entrepreneurship and internships. The competencies that must be possessed by teachers are educational competence, competence for technological commercialization, competence in globalization, competence in future strategies, and competence counselor. In addition to these competencies, teachers also need to have a friendly attitude with technology, collaboration, be creative and take risks, have a good sense of humor, and teach holistically. Schools and teachers must consider the open learning platform in deciding how to organizing education and learning.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to introduce the work of Jesus Christ in the life of everyone, especially to the Jakun Native Tribe through the learning process of Christian Religious Education. One of the problems encountered by the author in this paper is that the Jakun Native Tribe still believes in aninism, customs and low knowledge / education. Based on this problem, the writer tries to make a change through humanist approaches to society as explained in this paper. The method used in this paper is a qualitative research method by examining Christian Religious Education learning strategies in introducing Jesus Christ. The analysis process used is to use a variety of literature sources both journals, books and other reliable reference materials to support the author's analysis. The results found in this study indicate that the Christian Religious Education learning strategy is very effective in applying sociological approaches, agricultural extension and culture. This can be seen in the life changes experienced by the community, namely cognitive, affective, psychomotor and spiritual changes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of e-learning learning on the effectiveness of subject teachers in Christian Theology Middle School, Kupang City. This study uses a quantitative approach. The analysis technique used is by using linear regression analysis techniques. Then the results obtained are Reliability test results for variables X and Y, all of which are reliable because of the value of Cronbach, s Alpha> r Table (0.05). After the reliability test, the researcher conducted a descriptive statistical test and continued with the normality test. In the residual normality test, the data is normal because the sig value is 406> 0.05. Followed by the normality analysis test, the researchers continued to the linearity analysis test. Based on the results of the linearity test, it was known that the sig. deviation linearity value was 0.189. Because of the sig. 0.189.> 0.05, then it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a linear relationship between e-learning learning and subject teachers' effectiveness in the last analysis test, namely hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the correlation test, it is known that the sig. Value is 0.00. Because of the sig. 0.00. <0, 05 it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant influence between e-learning learning and the effectiveness of subject teachers. With the reason that the value of R (correlation) 0.989> 0.05 with the influence (R square) 0.979 or 97.9%. Thus, the hypothesis testing in this study produces Ha.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of Christian religious education teachers in disciplining students of the State 1 Naibonat Vocational High School. The research method used is qualitative research through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The location of the study was carried out at the State Vocational High School 1 Naibonat; the subjects used in this study were four people consisting of 1 Christian religion teacher and three students. So the research results obtained are 1). Teachers as educators can form student discipline that has been carried out well; 2). Teachers, as mentors, always guide students when they violate school discipline; 3). Teachers as teachers; 4). Teachers as trainers; 5). Teachers as advisors have been carried out well, namely always advising students on the benefits of being obedient/obedient to school regulations; 6). The teacher acts as a mediator because he always informs students of media that are unknown to students: 7). Teachers as role models in improving the discipline of State Vocational High School students 1 Naibonat and 8). Teachers as motivators because Christian Religious Education teachers have many ways to motivate students to be disciplined through praise and gifts.

Abstract

This study presents an analysis of corrupt behavior from the perspective of the text of Exodus 20:17 and the constitution. This research aims to place the perspective of the Bible and the constitution in parallel. This study uses analytical and descriptive methods to develop thinking patterns related to the linear perspective of the Bible and the constitution as the foundation for the Corruption Eradication Commission and the Bible. This study concludes that the phrase do not covet in the text of output 20:17 is linear with a juridical perspective that coveting other people's legal property is a criminal offense.

Abstract

Javanese philosophy as a cultural heritage has rarely been introduced and taught to the present generation. In fact, there are many Javanese philosophies regarding the nature of life that can be used as teaching materials in family Christian education. The fading of this culture makes this research conducted in order to provide a view to Christian families that Javanese philosophy can be a bridge for faith education in the family. The research method is through a qualitative approach. To describe the meaning of the four Javanese philosophies that were adopted as the core of this research discussion and their relationship to Bible truth and how they are applied in family education. The conclusion of the research is that the Javanese philosophy: Sangkan Paraning Dumadi, Urip Kui Urup, Urip Mung Mampir Ngombe, and Nrimo Ing Pandum contains the meaning of teaching in accordance with the truth of God's word. Javanese philosophy can be taught and applied in the family as a Christian education to strengthen the family's faith. But the teaching must be based on the truth of the Bible because the Bible is the source of all knowledge and wisdom.

Abstract

This article aims to see how effective the supervisors are in monitoring Christian Religious Education teachers during the online learning process. The main problem in this paper is that supervisors need time to transform with technology so that supervisors cannot carry out supervision and guidance to teachers optimally. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. The method used in this paper is a descriptive qualitative research method. The author obtains data through literature review, empirical data, and tracing published scientific works related to the theme of this study. After that, the writer analyzed the data and described it through analytical techniques using several stages, namely reducing data, classifying, and verifying data related to the study of this article. The results obtained in this paper have a significant level of using various features available in technology media to meet with teachers as described in this paper. Thus, the use of technology during the pandemic has a significant and influential role to be utilized by supervisors, teachers, and students.
