Abstract

This research aims to see fishery development and the parts at agriculturalsector in Lima Puluh Kota regency economics. Analysis results is known duringfive development the last year aquaculture area decreased, but so the productionincreases. Pool vast average goes down 0,85%, minapadi go down 36,27%,karamba go down 19,72%, longyam go down 6,68%, temporary productionincreases 13,06%. Year 2007 fishery product 6.137,8 tons with products valuesRp 114.049,30,- million or as big as 7,86% from agricultures totals productsvalues (Rp 1.451.373,73,-). Fisheries subsectors contributions in PDRBs 2,72%,equal buildings sectors contributions (2,85%) above financial, rental, companysector contribution (2,47%, and electricity, gas, clean water sector (0,43%)

Abstract

A study was conducted to induced triploidy in fertilized egg of sheatfishlarvae , (Kryptopterus lympok) using heat shock. The eggs were exposed at 40OCfor shock duration of 1 , 3 , 5 and 0 minutes as a diploid control. Results showedthat the 5 minutes shock duration was the highest triploid induction and yield(91.7 and 62.9%). Erythrocyte analysis showed that the volume of triploid fishgroup was bigger that that of diploid one. The fertilization, hatching and survivalrate was lower in triploid groups, while SGR was higher compared to diploid fish.

Abstract

The Regency of Rokan Hilir has huge potential of offshore fishingresources in a very strategic position in Malacca Strait. In order to gain amaximum benefit for the wealth of the fishermen, strategic mechanism ofmanagement is a necessity. The specific strategy should be based on holistic andcomprehensive model. So, to develope the model, information on offshorefinancial fishing performance is required. This research is aimed to measurefinancial indicators of eight kinds of offshore fishing methode, that are dominantin 4 districts in the Regency of Rokan Hilir, Riau Province, ie.: Sinaboi, Bangko,Kubu, and Pasir Limau Kapas. Data is collected from survey of 2.447 units ofoffshore fishing unit. Financial Analisys of activities are measured usingindicators: NPV, RTO, RTL, ROI dan PP. From 8 kinds of offshore fishingmethode, Five kinds are considered to be feasible. Those five kinds of methodeare payang, bubu, pengumpul kerang, jaring insang hanyut and handline; the rest,that are not feasible are jaring insang lingkar, pukat udang dan pukat pantai.Offshore fishing methode using jaring insang hanyut could be prioritized to bedevelop in this regency because it provided the highest income for the fishermen(NPV=56.432,719), the most productive (B/C ratio=2,00), highest investmentbenefit (IRR=57,53%), highest return of investment (RoI/=7,01) and the shortestpayback periode (PP=0,14). The application of Aplikasi development activitiesindeed has to consider the total income of every single individu involved on theactivities, not only the income of the owner of the unit activities. In general,government incentive in several format of subsidiasries for fishermen using thebeneficial methodes of oaffshore fishing.

Abstract

The purpose of study is to know nutrition of jelawat eggs, compriseprorein, fat, calcium, phospore, essential amino acid, essential fatty acid, vitamineC and vitamine E. Method applied to get the purpose is take jelawat eggshave TKG IV ( gonad stages mature) on brood stock with 4kg, and weight wet ofgonad 600 gram at Maninjau Lake. Eggs are dried and floured. The study usesproximate-analysis to get quantity of protein, fat, calcium and phospore andHPLC methode to get the essential amino acid, fatty acid and vitamine C and E.The result show that fish jelawat floured have within it nutrition protein61,33 %, fat, 11,90 %, water content 4,88 %, ashes content 8,26 %. Quantityamino acid 52,69 %, linoleat fatty acid 7,71.%, linolenat fatty acid 0,05 %,vitamine C 0,240 % and vitamine E 0,310 %.

Abstract

Study on the dehydrator engineering for fish dehydration has beenconducted. The study was aimed to engineer, to built and to assess the existension,effectivity and efficiency of the fish dehydrator and the quality of dehydratedgiant catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) yielded by its application. The dehydratorhad three main chamber, namely: smoking furnace, smoking chamber, and dryingchamber. Its volume was measured 120 X 180 X 200 Cm3, and its smoking anddrying capacity were 100 kg.The result showed that both smoking and drying process could be aplliedsimultaneously. Therefore, the smoking fuel used could be saved. It spent 5kg/hour of coconut shell or 3.5 kg/hour of rubber wood (Hevea brasilliensis). Itwas not detected smoke contamination into the drying chamber. The rate oftemperature and RH in smoking chamber was 63o C and 43%, meanwhile, indrying chamber was 50o C and 49%. The consumer acceptance and the quality ofthe dehidrated fish yielded by smoking was not significantly different to it yieldedby drying. To get the maximum water content 40% in the fish, smoking processneeded 8 hours, meanwhile drying process needed 12 hours. The dehydrated fishcould be stored for 9 days at room temperature (30-32 oC).

Abstract

The research was aimed to find the optimal level of tricainemethanesulfonate (MS-222) and density of clown loach (Botia macracanthus) intransportation. These triplicate factorial experiments consisted of the three levelsof MS-222 (0, 25, and 50 ppm) and three densities of fish (25, 50 and 75 fish L-1).The fingerlings of clown loach (3.0-3.5 cm) have been transported in 1 liter ofwater for 18 hours. The results showed that the levels of MS-222, density of fishesand interaction of the both factors were different significantly (P<0.05) to theinduction time, sedative duration, and survival live of clown loach. Theinteraction level of MS-222 50 ppm with density 25 fishes L-1 was not significant(P>0.05) with 50 fishes L-1. Level of MS-222 50 ppm and density 50 fishes L-1were the best for survival live in transportation of clown loach.

Abstract

Metode pengukuran polimorfisme fragmen hasil pemotongan produkreaksi polimorfik berantai oleh enzim restriksi spesifik (polymerase chainreaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism, RFLP-PCR) telah digunakanuntuk membedakan beberapa jenis ikan mentah. Situs cytochrome b mitokondria,yang diamplifikasi oleh primer universal, dipotong menggunakan empat enzimrestriksi (Bfa I, Hinf I, Msp I, Mbo II) sehingga dapat dianalisa fragment-fragmentpendeknya. Hasil yang diperolah dari pemotongan oleh enzim restriksi tersebutternyata dapat digunakan untuk membedakan tiap jenis ikan sampel. Hasilpenelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PCR dan RFLP-PCR merupakan metode yangsensitif dan dapat dilakukan dalam waktu singkat untuk membedakan berbagaijenis ikan mentah.

Abstract

Ones of information that needed on fisheries resources management isevalute catch per unit effort daily, montly, and annually. Daily of CPUEinfluenced of moon phase, and montly of CPUE might cause of fishing season.The CPUE research of Kembung Fish (Restrelliger spp) in Thousand Island is forstudy of lunar moon influence to cacth and season. This research done at june2006 to februari 2007 at Panggang-Pramuka Island, Kelapa Island, Tidung Island,Lancang Island, and Damar Island. Result of study knowns that Restrelliger spcatch on the peak solar moon less than a few day before and after solar moonpeak. Fishing season in Damar and Panggang-Pramuka Island shown on August-October, and Lancang, Kelapa, also Tidung Island on June-September. OnDecember, a part of Kembung fish migrate to east of damal island.

Abstract

This research aims to detect cost of goods manufactured and break evenpoint ikan salai patin. Also aim to detect acceptances and business.s profits levels.Researches results show cost of goods manufactured ikan salai patin Rp 29.800/kg, fillet salai patin Rp 37.210/ kg, and nugget Rp 879,5/ package. Sale breakeven point as big as Rp 6.542.064, temporary for sale achieves Rp 25.595.000/month, with profit level 4,78%.
