Abstract

This paper discusses about several cultural aspects of culture that can be used as a foundation for regional development. The facts show that cultural based development is not yet holistic. There are many cultural values that are neglected in regional development. At least four aspects of development that can take advantage of local-traditional culture, namely: matters of livelihood, matters of government, politics, and matters of religion and belief in God Almighty. The presentation of facts regarding the four things mentioned above is a reflection of the revival of values. This reflection would spur all government policy to take advantage of aspects of local culture as a material consideration in designing and implementing development in the region.

Abstract

The sentence structure wants its constituent units to fulfill grammatical and fontological requirements so that the sentence becomes a language unit that is able to express the intended meaning in communication. In Dawan's language, the phonological structure of words plays a role in producing grammatical units both at the morphological level (word formation) and at the syntactic level (formation of phrases, and clauses) in sentence formation through slipping, shifting phoneme positions, changing phoneme positions with substitutions. phoneme. This phenomenon is complex in Dawan's language. This paper only discusses changes in the phonological structure consisting of 2 syllables with a CV-CV pattern, with the vowel in the first syllable being the same as the vowel in the second syllable (V1 = V2), and words with a CV-CV pattern with different vowels in the first syllable. with a vowel in the second syllable (V1 V2). Deletion occurs in words with the pattern V1 = V2, and also applies to the pattern V1 V2 with V1 = e, V2 = i; V1 = o, V2 = a; V1 = i, V2 = a; V1 = e, V2 = a. The displacement of the phonemes occurs in the V1 V2 pattern with V1 = a, V2 = i; V1 = a, V2 = u; V1 = a, V2 = e; V1 = a, V2 = o. The displacement of the phoneme position with the change of the V2 phoneme occurs in the V1 V2 pattern with e → i, i → e, o → u. Changes with the punctuation pattern into a word consisting of 2 syllables with a CV-CV pattern into 1 syllable with a CVC pattern. Likewise, changes to changes both with phoneme changes and without phonemes make vowels (V2) shift from vowels to semivowels so that words that previously consisted of 2 syllables with a CV-CV pattern of 1 syllable with a CVVC pattern. The depiction of 2 vowels in the CVVC pattern shows that V2 does not lose its phonemic loss in this process.

Abstract

Although this research does not focus on linguistic rules which are the main media of advertising, the discussion about construction is one of the important aspects in this research. One sentence construction is a proposition or reasoning. Samhis Setiawan (2021) by citing experts asserts that a proposition is a speech or statement that describes several conditions that are not necessarily true or false in the form of a news sentence. Proposition is a term used in logical analysis. These circumstances and events generally involve the person or person referred to by the utterance in the sentence. There are 3 forms of propositions, namely categorical propositions, hypothetical propositions, and disjunctive propositions. One type of hypothetical proposition is called a conditional proposition. which states a condition of a dependent relationship between two propositions. This relationship shows that one proposition must follow the other propositions because of certain conditions. That is, if the conditions are met then the truth occurs. Conversely, if the conditions are not met then the truth does not occur. A conditional proposition is usually marked with “If…Then”, “If…Then”, “If…Then”, “If…Then”, “Suppose…Then”. Through conditional propositions and the meanings contained in them, the Government offers good conditions so that people live healthily during and after the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

This research was conducted to realize research-based learning materials. What is meant by research-based learning materials are learning materials developed based on the results of research or scientific studies conducted by the lecturers themselves. Thus, good learning materials are the product of scientific research carried out by the lecturers themselves, not just the compilation of books written by previous experts. The research problems are: (1) What is the structure of compound sentences in scientific texts? (2) What is the relationship between clauses in Indonesian compound sentences in scientific texts? The aims of this study are (1) to explain the structure of compound sentences in scientific texts, (2) to explain the relationship between clauses in Indonesian compound sentences contained in scientific texts. The type of research used is descriptive research. Descriptive research is research that aims to describe a phenomenon as it is at the time of the study. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. Qualitative research seeks to reveal the symptoms as a whole and in accordance with the context (holistic-contextual) through collecting data from natural settings by using the researcher himself as a key instrument. The results of the study found that there are three kinds of compound sentences in scientific texts, namely coordinating compound sentences, subordinate compound sentences, and complex compound sentences. Some coordinating compound sentences consist of two clauses and some consist of 3 clauses. Subordinating compound sentences in scientific texts consist of two clauses and some consist of three clauses. Subordinating compound sentence structure consists of five types. Complex compound sentence structure consists of 7 types. There are three kinds of semantic relationships between clauses in Indonesian coordinative compound sentences in scientific texts, namely: (1) resistance relations, (2) selection, and (3) addition/addition. There are four kinds of inter-clause relationships in subordinating compound sentences in scientific texts, namely: (1) objective relationship, (2) conditional relationship, (4) attributive relationship, and causal relationship. There are seven kinds of inter-clause relationships in complex compound sentences, namely: (1) explanatory relationship, (2) concessional relationship, (3) conditional relationship, (4) causal relationship, (5) attributive relationship, (6) effect relationship, and ( 7) relationship goals.

Abstract

All 50 states in the United States require schools to have bullying prevention policies in place. But the policy itself is not enough. Despite that obligation, there still appears to be a slight increase in the various forms of bullying over the past three years. Bullying can take the form of an experienced senior basketball player bullying a new player in front of referees, a child who constantly stigmatizes an immigrant classmate because of cultural differences, or a high school student who is suddenly humiliated and ostracized from her peer group. Bullying happens everywhere, even in the best performing schools, and it hurts everyone involved, from the target audience to the observers, and even the bullies themselves. October is national bullying prevention month, so it's a good time to ask ourselves: What is the best course of action to prevent bullying in schools? That's the question I explored with my friend Marc Brackett of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, in a recent paper in which we looked back at dozens of studies of real-world bullying prevention efforts. As we found, not all approaches to bullying prevention are equally effective. Most bullying prevention programs focus on raising awareness of the problem and implementing its consequences. But programs that rely on zero-tolerance punishment have shown ineffectiveness in the United States, and they often disproportionately target students of color. Programs such as peer mediation that give children responsibility for resolving conflicts can increase bullying. (Victims of adult abuse are never asked to resolve it with the perpetrators, and children have additional legal rights to protection because of their developmental status). According to outside observers, even among adults, it only applies to some people—namely, extroverts, who are sympathetic, and those with high social status and strong moral commitments. Many of the approaches adopted by educators have not been evaluated through research, instead educators tend to choose an approach based solely on what their peers have used. We found two research-proven approaches to be the most promising for reducing bullying cases (corresponding to and compatible with other forms of aggression and conflict). The two approaches are a positive school climate and social and emotional learning.

The results of this study indicate that from the five contexts, namely social context, political context, situational context, physical context and cultural context, found a social context about social care among figures, political context about political discrimination between rulers and small communities; the context of the situation about the atmosphere of anxiety, silence, happiness and emotion; the physical context of the physical violence perpetrated by the security forces against Mateu and the cultural context of marriage.
