Abstract

Stunting is a child's growth and development disorder caused by lack of nutrition, infection, or inadequate stimulation. One of the important roles in detecting stunting at the village level is the anthropometric measurement of length or height by posyandu cadres. This PKM activity was carried out with the aim of increasing the capacity of cadres in monitoring stunting through anthropometric measurements and proper assessment of stunting status. Kadubale Village is one of the villages in Pandeglang Regency with a fairly large number of cadres, namely 40 people, and among them there are many new cadres. The method used in this PKM activity is cadre training in the form of measuring the length or height of toddlers at the posyandu and assessing stunting status using an anthropometric rotary tool that is easy for cadres to use. The result of the training that has been carried out is that there is an increase in the skills of cadres in measuring body length and height, as well as increasing skills in assessing stunting status using a nutritional status rotary tool.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) or Dengue Haemorhagic Fever (DHF) is one of several infectious diseases that are a health problem in the world, especially developing countries. Aedes spp mosquitoes are vectors of arbovirus diseases, including Yellow Fever, Dengue Fever, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), and Chikungunya. One method of controlling Aedes is the use of ovitrap. This service aims to provide education and assistance in the manufacture of ovitrap as one of the efforts to control DHF. This service is carried out by providing knowledge about dengue disease and its control and how to make simple ovitrap. Education is carried out by means of counseling which was previously given a pre-test and post-test as a measuring tool for increasing knowledge. The standard ovitrap is made with a small wide-mouthed glass/pot painted black on the outside and given gauze as an egg trap. The glass is half filled with water to part and placed inside and outside the house which is suspected to be the habitat of the Aedes mosquito. The results of education and assistance in making ovitrap for cadres in the Tamangapa sub-district were that participants benefited, namely increasing knowledge and increasing skills in making ovitrap. The conclusion of this activity is that the community gets an increase in general knowledge about DHF, Aedes Aegypty mosquitoes and how to control them and increases skills in making ovitrap

Abstract

Covid-19 is a dangerous infectious disease because the increase in the number of cases takes place quite quickly, and spreads to various countries in a short time. Patients with comorbid diseases are one of the groups that are vulnerable to being infected with the Corona-19 virus. If infected with the Corona virus, the comorbid group has a higher risk of experiencing severe COVID-19 symptoms and requires intensive care, and even has a higher risk of dying. Through an interview with the chairman of Dawis1, it was discovered that not a few members did not want to vaccinate against Covid-19 because they suffered from other diseases such as hypertension or shortness of breath. For this reason, this service activity aims to increase the knowledge of housewives as part of the family about COVID-19 disease and the care of comorbid Covid patients and Covid-19 vaccinations for comorbid sufferers. The method used is counseling which is carried out to the women of the Dawis 1 group RT.06 RW.01 Kejambon Village, East Tegal District, Central Java, located in one of the houses of the Dasa Wisma members. The results of the service activities were the implementation of counseling on November 21, 2021 by 3 resource persons and attended by 16 housewives as well as increasing knowledge of mothers about Covid-19 disease, covid-19 vaccination and family support/handling for Covid-19 sufferers with comorbidities. Increased knowledge is known through the mother's success in correctly answering the questions given by the resource person.
