Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Social Values ​​in Novels After He Left by Dedy Chandra. This research is based on the social values ​​that exist in the novel After He left by Dedy Chandra. Research problems (1) What is the social value of social interaction contained in the novel after he left by Dedy Chandra? (2) What is the social value of social conflict contained in Dedy Chandra's Novel After He left? (3) What is the social value of social institutions contained in the novel after he left by Dedy Chandra? (4) What is the social value of social change contained in the Novel After He left by Dedy Chandra? This study aims to describe the social value of social interaction. Social conflicts, social institutions and social change obtained from the novel After Dia Goes by Dedy Chandra. This study uses the theory of UU Hamidy (1993), Zubaedi (2005), Haris Priyatna (2013), Sutarjo Adisusilo (2013), Soerjono Soekanto (2005), K. Bertens (2004), Burhanudin Salam (2002). The results of this study found that the number of social aspects found were 31 data of social interaction, 9 data of social conflict, 5 data of social institutions, and 4 social changes. , and kinship as much as 3 data, while social conflict consists of 2 data of care, 6 data of love and affection, and 3 data of kinship, then 4 data of social institutions, of concern, and 1 data of help, and social change namely 2 data of care, 1 data of love and affection, and 1 data of help. So, it can be concluded that the social and social values ​​that occur are efforts to care, help, kinship, and love.

Abstract

This research is entitled Persuasive Techniques in Book Don’t Want to Be Average People by Ahmad Rifa’i Rif’an. This research is motivated by the existence of several persuasive techniques in the book Persuasive Techniques in the book Don’t Want to Be an Average Person which influences the reader. Research problem: how are persuasive techniques rationalization, identification, suggestion, replacement, projection in the book Don’t Want to Be an Average Person Ahmad Rifa’i Rif’an?. The porpose of this study: to describe, analyze, and interpret persuasive techniques rationalization, identification, suggestion, conformity, compensation, replacement, projections in the book Don’t to be an Average Person by Ahmad Rifa’i Rif’an. This study uses the theory of Goris Keraf 2007, using the content analysis method. The data collection techniques and hermeneutic techniques. The data analysis technicque used is coding or coding, classification, and interpretation. The results of research on persuasive techniques in the book Don’t Want to Be an Average Person by Ahmad Rifa’i Rif’am found 71 persuasive techniques which included (1) rationalization there were 26 data, (2) identification there were 18 data, (3) suggestions there are 24 data, (4) conformitay contains 1 data, (5) compensation contains 1 data, (6) replacement contains 1 data, (7) projections contains no data. So, it can be concluded that the persuasive techniques used by Ahmad Rifa’i Rif’an in the book Don’t Want to Be an Average Person are more dominant using rationalization persuasive techniques because they tend to provide just ification in the from of logical facts to influence readers, followed by suggestion, identification, conformity, compensation, replacement, and projection.

Abstract

Literary work as an imaginary, fiction that offers a variety of human and human problems, life and life. One form of literary work is novel. In Awang Surya's novel Pak Guru, there are various kinds of conflicts. Research problems: (1) How is the conflict between the characters in the novel Pak Guru by Awang Surya? (2) How do the authors present the character conflicts in the novel Pak Guru by Awang Surya? This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research and uses descriptive methods. The data source used is the novel Pak Guru by Awang Surya consisting of 48 chapters and 328 pages. Data collection techniques through hermenuetic techniques, namely read, note and summarize. In analyzing the data, it refers to various relevant theories, namely using the theory of Nurgiyantoro (2009 and 2013) about character conflict and using the theory of Sukada (1993) about how the author expresses character conflict. The results of the study concluded that the conflicts contained in the novel Pak Guru by Awang Surya were (1) internal conflict and external conflict. The internal conflicts experienced by the figures of Musa and Nasimah, the external conflicts occurred with the figures of Musa and SDN teachers, Musa and Pak Sarkowi, Musa with Alfan, Musa with Bu Eni, Musa with Nasimah. Abstract

Violation is an act or case of violating applicable rules or regulations. Speakers and speech partners in communicating must comply with the principle of cooperation, but in the 2019 Presidential Candidate General Election debate the author found speeches that violated the principle of cooperation. This is what makes the author interested in conducting this research entitled "Violation of the Principle of Cooperation in the 2019 Presidential Candidate General Election Debate". This study aims to determine the violation of the Principles of Cooperation in the 2019 Presidential Candidate Election Debate. The problem in this research is how the violation of the principle of cooperation in the 2019 presidential election debate. The theory used by the author is the theory of Grice in Wijana (1996), and Grice in Rahardi (2005). This research falls within the scope of pragmatics, in particular the principle of cooperation. Sources of data in this study are the entirety of the speeches between the debate moderators and the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2019 presidential election debate, while the data in this study are all violating speeches in the five debate sessions on the 2019 presidential candidate general election. The method I use is the method content analysis, the type of research is library research, and the research approach is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation techniques, hermeneutic techniques. The conclusion in this study is that the results of violation of the maxim of cooperation principle from the first debate to the fifth debate, the speech violating the maximal quantity of 14 speeches, maxim of quality of 25 speeches, maxim of relevance of 26 utterances, maxim of implementation or way of 19 utterances, the tendency of speech participants in the debate with partners said many violate the principle of cooperation.

Abstract

Language is a means of communication between people in community groups as well as a means of communication between nations without language other people cannot communicate. This is in accordance with the opinion of Kridalaksana (2009: 24) "Language is a system of sound symbols used by members of a society to work together, interact, and identify themselves". The problems in this research are (1) how is the behavior syntax of transitive verbs in Banjar Hulu Language, Barabai Subdialek in Sungai Beringin Village, Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency? (2) How semantic transitive verb behavior in Banjar Hulu Subdialek Barabai in Sungai Beringin Village, Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency? The theory used in this study is the theory of Hasan Alwi, et al (2003) and several other supporting theories. The method used is descriptive method. The data collection technique in this research used techniques (1) observation, (2) proficient, (3) recording, and (4) taking notes. The results of this study concluded that (1) the syntactic behavior of transitive verbs contained in the Banjar Hulu language, Barabai sub-dialect in Sungai Beringin Village, Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, there are three: (a) transitive verbs consisting of: 17 data, (b) dwitransitive verbs which consists of: 16 data, (c) semitransitive verbs consisting of: 5 data. (2) there are four semantic transitive verb behavior in the Banjar Hulu language, Barabai sub-dialect in Sungai Beringin Village, Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, there are four: (a) verbs containing the meaning of action consist of: 7 data, (b) verbs containing process meanings consisting of: 3 data, (c) the verb contains the meaning of the command consisting of: 1 data, (d) the verb contains the meaning of the state which consists of: 4 data.

Abstract

Figurative language is a form of poetry in poetry. Figurative language is a form of language that has deviated from everyday language. In writing poetry, it is also related to lexical use or the choice of words used based on sound and meaning constancy considerations. The problems described in this study are (1) How is the use of figurative language in Candra Malik's collection of Word Wound poetry? (2) How is the use of the lexical contained in the collection of Word Wound poetry by Candra Malik? The objectives of this study are (1) Collect, describe, analyze and interpret in detail and systematically data and information so as to obtain an overview of the figurative language contained in the collection of Word Wound poetry by Candra Malik (2) Collect, describe, analyze and interpret in detail and systematically the data and information so as to obtain a lexical description contained in the collection of word wound poetry by Candra Malik. The theory that the writer uses to analyze this research is the theory of Nurgiyantoro (2014), Wiyatmi (2012), Hasanudin (2012). The approach used is a qualitative approach. The type of research used is library research (Library Research). The method used is descriptive method. The technique used is the hermeneutic technique. The results of the study the authors concluded that the use of figurative language contained 32 data and lexical use there were 21 data. The use of figurative language that often appears in Candra Malik's Word Wound poetry is the form of comparative figure of speech and the most dominant is simile, while the use of lexical is sound determination.

Abstract

Debate is an activity of arguing between two or more parties, either individually or in groups, in discussing and resolving problems. The method used is descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study are: documentation techniques, listening techniques and note taking techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are data techniques, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of research on logos techniques in the first debate of the presidential and vice presidential candidate campaigns of the Republic of Indonesia found 57 data items and 23 samples / samples, where each speaker received as much data, for Joko Widodo entimem there were 19 speech data, Maruf Amin There are 6 data, Prabowo Subianto has 19 data and Sandiaga Uno 13 data, from the four speakers Jokowi and Prabowo got the same number of speech data, namely 19 data, while for the example / sample, Joko Widod got 15 data, Maruf Amin had no data, Prabowo Subianto has 6 data and Sandiaga Uno 2 data, from the four speakers Jokowi is superior in providing examples than the four speakers, namely 15 speech data.

Abstract

Phrases are part of the syntax which is formed from two or more words and their position in the clause is not more than one syntactic functionPhrases do not consist of subject-predicate structures, or predicate-object structures, but phrases consist of only subject, predicate, or object only. The problems described in this study are (1) What are the types of phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University? (2) What is the structure of the phrases on the website of the Riau Islamic University? The objectives of this study are. To analyze and describe the types of phrases and phrases structures found on the Islamic University Website. The theory that the writer uses to analyze this research is the theory put forward by Chaer (2009), Sulistyowati (2012), Miftahul and Sakura (2014). The method used is content analysis method. This type of research is library research (Library Research). The approach used is a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were documentation techniques and hermeneutic techniques. The data analysis techniques used were classification and interpretation. Based on the research carried out, it can be concluded that 1) the types of phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University are nominal phrases, verbal phrases, adjective phrases, prepositional phrases. So, the total nominal, verbal, adjective, and prepositional phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University are as many as 60 phrases. 2) the structure of the phrases found on the website of the Riau Islamic University, namely nominal phrases with as many noun + noun (N + N) structures and noun + adjective (N + A), verbal phrases with a verbal + noun (V + N) structure adjective (V + A), verbal + preposition (V + Prep), adverb + verbal (Adv + V) and verbal + verbal (V + V), adjective phrases with the structure of adjectivea + adverb (A + Adv), adjective + noun (A + N) and adverb + adjective (Adv + A), as well as prepositional phrases that have a prepositional + noun structure (Prep + N), prepositions + verbs (Prep + V) and prepositions + adjectives (Prep + A).

Abstract

In everyday life as social beings, humans use variety of variations to express something in the process of interacting with society both formally and informally. Language variation is caused by the existence of social interaction activities carried out by a very diverse community or group. The diversity of these languages ​​will increase if the language is used by a very large number of speakers and in a very wide area. This study examines language variations in the speech of sellers and buyers in the Dupa market, Jalan Merpati Tangkerang Tengah, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City with the problem (1) what are the language variations in the speech of sellers and buyers in the incense market, Jalan Merpati Tangkerang Tengah, Marpoyan Damai Kota District. Pekanbaru, and (2) what are the functions of language variation in the speech of sellers and buyers at the Incense market on Merpati Tangkerang Tengah street, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. The theories used in this study are Abdul Chaer and Leonie Agustina (2010), and Alwasilah A. Chaedar (1993). While the method used is content analysis with a research approach that is a qualitative approach. Based on the results of this study, there are (1) language variations in the speech of sellers and buyers in the Dupa market Jalan Merpati Tangkerang Tengah, Marpoyan Damai District, which the researchers found with details of language variations in terms of speakers, namely dialects and chronicles, language variations in terms of usage, language variations. In terms of formality, there are familiar and relaxed varieties, and language variations in terms of facilities, namely variations in spoken language, and (2) the function of language variations in the speech of sellers and buyers at the Incense market, Jalan Merpati Tangkerang Tengah, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City, with details of the instrumental function, the regulatory function, the personal function, the interactional function, the representational function, and the heuristic function. Where as what the researchers did not find were imaginative functions.

Abstract

Humans in speaking really need to pay attention to politeness when interacting or communicating with other humans, the goal is that humans can use polite speech and do not make mistakes when speaking or communicating. So with that, politeness is needed and very much needed. Often we hear the conversation of people in a certain area who express impolite words. Limited to one problem. The problem of this research is how the principle of politeness in the Sombah Nasi ceremony, the Traditional Marriage of the Kenegrian Siberakun Community, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude the Malay language politeness maxim in the traditional marriage sombah rice of the Kenegrian Siberakun Community, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. In this study, the researcher uses Leech's politeness principle because until now it is still used and is the most complete and relatively comprehensive according to Leech (Rahardi, 2005: 59) there are six maxims of politeness principles. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method because the data analyzed is not to accept or reject the hypothesis (if any), but the results of this analysis are descriptive of the observed symptoms. The techniques used are recording techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The conclusion of this study is the politeness maxim in the Sombah Nasi ceremony, the Malay Traditional Marriage of the Kenegrian Siberakun Community, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Based on the research results of the politeness maxim in the Sombah Nasi ceremony, the Malay Traditional Marriage of the Kenegrian Siberakun Community, Benai District, Kuntang Singingi Regency, the most spoken utterances amounted to 16 utterances. The politeness maxim which contains the maxim of wisdom is 10 utterances. The politeness maxim which contains the maxim of generosity is 10 utterances. The politeness maxim which contains the meaning of the maxim of praise is 10 utterances. The politeness maxim which contains the meaning of the maxim of simplicity is 10 utterances. consensus is 16 utterances. The maxim of politeness which contains the meaning of the maxim of sympathy is 9 utterances.
