Abstract

One of the efforts in financing regional development is to increase regional income sourced from regional taxes. The Manado City Government in carrying out the effort to increase the regional tax is carried out by the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency as a place to carry out the Regional Government's authority in the context of decentralization in the area of regional income, especially in the area of Manado's local tax. The source of revenue from District Own Search Revenue of Manado City comes from local taxes, such as hotel taxes, restaurants, entertainment, billboards, parking, water, and land taxes, swallow nests, Land and Building taxes P2, BPHTB, PLN, and Non-PLN Street lighting taxes, minerals nonmetal and rock. This research aims to find out how much the contribution of hotel and restaurant taxes can be generated as District Own Search Revenue with the growth of tourism that continues to increase coupled with the growth of hotels and restaurants in Manado City, with the benefits of the research is expected to provide input to the Manado City government in efforts to increase District Own Search Revenue through hotel and restaurant taxes. This research uses a contribution analysis, with the average contribution of hotel and restaurant tax realization to District Own Search Revenue per year of 7.06% and the level of effectiveness of hotel and restaurant taxes running fluctuations from year to year.

Abstract

Several challenges and rising costs are facing the healthcare industry today. Some of these health costs are a direct consequence of lifestyle choices such as unhealth diets, obesity and smoking. These challenges can be managed if policy makers have the tools to influence and alter people’s behaviour. The conventional tools used for influencing behaviour include legislation, regulation and information provision. Recently, interest has been shown in policies that ‘nudge’ people in particular directions.

Abstract

When it comes to using the unit of a number, some researchers cannot distinguish when to use the comparison symbol while designing a questionnaire. This study will discuss how the use of comparative symbols by the type of data in the questionnaire questions through literature studies. It can be concluded that the use of comparison symbols in the questionnaire options cannot be done when the nominal data type is used. The results of this study can be implemented for designing a research instrument that uses a comparison symbol on the question options.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of implementation of the innovation one stop service at the Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Non TPI Serang. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. The technique of taking informants using snowball sampling technique combined with accidental sampling. This research was conducted at the Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Serang from April 22, 2019 until August 27, 2019. The data were collected by observation, interview and documentation. Based on the results of this study concluded 1) innovation that run was good enough, 2) services provided when running the innovation was already good. While that is a contributing factor in the implementation of this innovation is 1) a queue at the immigration quota is not too much so as to sum up the work of immigration officers, 2) Immigration Office adequate facility for the community. Then the inhibiting factor is the lack of clear information dissemination to the public.

Abstract

This article discusses the capacity and innovation of Village Government population services in several villages in Serang District, Indonesia. The research approach used qualitative descriptive with interview data collection techniques, observation and documentation with the informant determination technique through purposive sampling. The results of the research findings indicate that capacity and service innovation are the most energetic parts of the implementation of village governance. In this case, it is important to encourage the performance of village government, especially in increasing the capacity and governance of public service innovation in several villages in Serang District.
