Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan (The Educational Journal) is a double-blind peer reviewed journal on Education published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan welcomes and accepts qualified original research papers about education which are written by researchers, academicians, professionals, and practitioners from all over the world. This journal is published twice a year. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan has already had registration numbers of p-ISSN: 2442-6377 and e-ISSN: 2721-3595 issued by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). Al-Tarbiyah journal was inactive during 2016-2018. In 2019 this journal started continuing the publication of Volume 29.

Abstract

AbstrakSetiap peserta didik pernah mengalami rasa malas dalam belajar. Hal ini tentu dikarenakan oleh beberapa faktor yang melatarbelakanginya. Namun, jika malas belajar terus menerus ada dalam diri peserta didik maka akan hal tersebut akan menggangu perkembangan hidup untuk masa depannya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengatasi malas belajar peserta didik di MA Ammanatul Ummah Leuwimunding-Majalengka dengan melakukan kegiatan konseling behaviorisme dengan teknik self management. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif.  Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi kepada pihak-pihak terkait sebagai informan. Hasil dari konseling yang dilakukan memberikan dampak yang baik. Hal ini terlihat dari kesadaran dan perubahan tingkah laku peserta didik. Peserta didik yang dulunya malas belajar secara perlahan mampu mengelola diri berdasarkan potensi dan kelemahannya. Siswa terutama berusaha mempriositaskan pendidikannya guna meraih masa depan yang cerah baik untuk dirinya sendiri maupun untuk orang sekitarnya.Kata kunci: malas belajar, konseling behaviorisme, teknik self managementAbstractEvery student has experienced a sense of laziness in learning. This is certainly due to several underlying factors. However, if students keep being lazy to learn, it will interfere their growth in the future. The purpose of this study was to overcome the laziness to learn of students at MA Ammanatul Ummah Leuwimunding-Majalengka by conducting behaviourism counselling activities with self-management techniques. This study used descriptive qualitative research.  The data collection was carried out through observations, interviews and documentation techniques towards related parties as informants. The result of the counselling done shows a good impact. This can be seen from students’ awareness and changes in the behaviours who were once lazy to learn. Students who were lazy once are can gradually manage themselves based on their potential and weaknesses.  slowly and are able to manage themselves based on their potential and weaknesses. Students especially try to prioritize their education in order to achieve a bright future, both for themselves and for those around them.Keywords: laziness to study, behaviourism counselling, self-management techniques

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kompetensi guru IPA dalam menggunakan media video interaktif, dan (2) pengaruh media pembelajaran terhadap peningkatkan hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran dengan yang tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran pada konsep sistem pencernaan manusia.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif Quasi Experimental Design dengan bentuk pretest-post test control grup design, dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Random Sampling. Sedangkan sampelnya adalah semua guru IPA, siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan angket dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan software SPSS V 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa:  (1) kompetensi guru IPA dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran sangat baik dan (2) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol dengan nilai Sig, 0,007 < 0,05 melalui Uji Mann Whitney. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi guru IPA dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran   untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sudah sangat baik dan efektif.Kata kunci: Kompetensi Guru,  Media Pembelajaran, Hasil Belajar  AbstractThis research aimed at knowing: (1) teachers’ competence to use interactive video media and (2) the influence of the learning media towards the improvement of learning outcome between students using learning media and those that were not, in human digestive system concept. This study used a Quasi Experimental Design with control group design for the pretest and post test, and the sample were taken by using Purposive Random Sampling technique. The sample was all teachers of natural sciences subject, the students of Class VIII A as an experimental class and the students of Class VIII B as a control class. The data collecting techniques used questionnaires and tests. The data analysis used was SPSS V 24 software. The results of the study show that: (1) the competence of natural science teachers to use the learning media is very good and (2) there is a significant difference in students’ learning outcome between the experimental and control classes with the Sig value of 0.007 < 0.05 done through Mann Whitney test. It can be summarized that the competence of natural science teachers to use the learning media has already been good and effective. Keywords: Teachers’ Competence, Learning Media, Learning Outcome

Abstract

Writing is often associated with a child's creativity. In this study, creativity was assessed using TCT-DP (The Test for Creative Thinking-Drawing Production) where students were asked to continue drawing the available patterns. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between students who are able to continue drawing patterns by writing narrative text well. This research was conducted in one of the SDN Citangkil District with a population of 2 classes totaling 88 students. The method used in this research is correlational descriptive. In this study, data from the creative thinking test uses 11 out of 14 criteria, namely: continuations, completion, new elements, the connection made with a line, the connection made to produce a theme, boundary-breaking that is fragment dependent, boundary-breaking that is fragment independent. , perspective, humor, and affectivity, unconventionally, and speed. These criteria are translated through scores of 1-3. The results showed that there was a relationship between students who had the ability to think creatively and write good narrative texts.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, serta aktivitas dan performansi guru sebagai dampak pengiring pada pembelajaran seni tari di SD melalui penerapan teknik TANDUR berbantukan gambar seri. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes dan non tes. Data yang diperoleh merupakan hasil pra siklus, tes tertulis, tes praktek, pengamatan aktivitas siswa, dan pengamatan performansi guru. Indikator keberhasilan PTK yaitu, jumlah siswa yang mendapat nilai sesuai KKM (≥71) minimal 75%, aktivitas belajar siswa minimal 75%, dan performansi guru minimal B (≥70). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, nilai rata-rata kelas pra siklus sebesar 68,2 meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 73 dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal dari 40,5% menjadi 75,7%. Nilai rata-rata kelas siklus II juga mengalami peningkatan menjadi 84,1 dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal mencapai 91,9%. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 70,5% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 80%. Nilai performansi guru telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan, pada siklus I sebesar 86,05 meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 96,75. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa teknik TANDUR berbantukan gambar seri dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran tari pendek bertema kelas III SD Negeri Debong Lor Kota Tegal tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.Kata kunci: gambar seri, tari pendek bertema, teknik TANDUR.  AbstractThe research aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes as well as teacher’s activities and performance as accompanying impacts on dance learning in Elementary School through the technique of TANDUR assisted image series. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was performed in two cycles. Data collection techniques used were in the form of test and non-test. The data obtained were the results of pre-cycle, written test, practice test, observation of student activities, and observation of teacher’s performance. Indicators of the research success are the number of students who got the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Score of (≥71) were at least 75%, students’ learning activities were at least 75% and teacher’s performance was at least B (≥70). The results show that the mean score of 68.2 in pre-cycle class increased in the first cycle to 73 with an increase in the classical learning completeness of 40.5% to 75.7%. The class mean score in cycle II also increased to 84.1 with an increase in the classical learning completeness reaching 91.9%. Students’ learning activities in the first cycle which were 70.5% increased to 80% in the second cycle. The score of teacher’s performance has reached an indicator of success in the first cycle of 86.05 to 96.8 in cycle II. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the technique of TANDUR assisted image series can improve the learning of The Dance Short Themed material of Grade III Debong Lor Elementary School of Tegal City in the academic year of 2014/2015. Abstract

AbstrakBanyak kejadian-kejadian yang tidak sesuai dengan aturan, nilai dan norma yang berlaku di dalam masyarakat. Permasalahan-permasalahan yang muncul di masyarakat semakin berkembang dan komplek. Pembelajaran IPS dibutuhkan untuk pembentukan individu peserta didik dalam menjalankan kehidupan sosial di masyarakat. Mereka diharapkan berperilaku dan berinteraksi sesuai dengan keadaan dan kondisi aturan, nilai dan norma yang ada di dalam masyarakat. Pembelajaran IPS di sekolah mempengaruhi pembentukan modal sosial dalam diri peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui konstribusi pembelajaran IPS terhadap perkembangan modal sosial peserta didik. Metode penelitian adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pembelajaran IPS terhadap modal sosial peserta didik SMPN di Kabupaten Pandeglang. Pengaruh pembelajaran IPS terhadap modal sosial peserta didik sebesar 16,4%. Dengan tingkat signifikansinya dilihat dari table lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga pembelajaran IPS signifikan terhadap modal sosial.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran, Pembelajaran IPS, dan Modal Sosial AbstractThere are many incidents that are not in accordance with the rules, values and norms that are applied in the society. The problems that arise in society are increasingly developing and complex. Social studies learning is needed for the formation of individual students in carrying out social life in society. They are expected to behave and interact in accordance with the circumstances and conditions of the rules, values and norms that exist in society. Social studies learning in schools affects the formation of students’ self-social capital. The research objective was to find out the contribution of social studies learning to the development of students’ social capital. The research method was a quantitative research method with a survey approach. The finding of the research shows the influence of social studies learning on the social capital of Junior High School students in Pandeglang. The effect of social studies learning on students' social capital is 16.4%. Its significance level seen from the table is smaller than 0.05, so that social studies learning is significant for social capital.Keywords: Learning, Social Studies Learning, and Social Capital

Abstract

AbstractThe Basic Reading Syllabus has an important role in teaching reading. It contains the text types that should be taught for the students. Text is one of the prominent tools in teaching reading since the purpose of reading activity is to get information from the text. By the changing of global situation, the basic reading syllabus should adapt the theme of the text that appropriate with the recent world. One of the issues which spread out all over the world is about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is a universal call to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people to have a better life. Through the syllabus, teachers can measure how far the effectiveness and renewal of a teaching material are. Therefore, the objective of this research was to analyze whether the Basic Reading textbook needed some revisiting in order to be relevant to SDGs criteria in its texts. Engaged by 55 students of the third semester and 8 lecturers who taught Basic Reading, the data were collected by giving questionnaires and were analyzed qualitatively. The research has found that the text in the Basic Reading textbook had 10% for the Suitable Environment dimension, which could be classified as poor. Suitable environment is considered as the Sustainable Development Goals content. By considering this finding, the text in the Basic Reading textbook needs to be improved by inserting of Sustainable Development Goals theme. Abstract

 AbstrakPembelajaran tatap muka terbatas yang dilaksanakan untuk memenuhi pembelajaran fisika di Sekolah Menengah Atas  pada faktanya membuat pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi fisika masih sangat kurang. Hal itu sangat berpengaruh terhadap pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Untuk itu, untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas waktu pembelajaran, penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai profil penalaran ilmiah peserta didik terhadap materi fisika yaitu elastisitas menggunakan virtual lab PhET Simulation. Tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu untuk mengetahui  dan menganalisis sejauh mana profil penalaran ilmiah peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Atas  melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Metode yang digunakkan menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan desain posttest only control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas  kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, sampel yang digunakan adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan seluruh peserta didik kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas control. Kedua kelas diberikan tes akhir (posttest) setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inquiry di kelas eksperimen dan model pembelajaran langsung di kelas control. Hasil eksperimen menunjukan bahwa peserta didik mempunyai antusias yang baik dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, penerapan media virtual lab berbasis PhET Simulation mempunyai tingkat kefektifitasan yang cukup baik, dan profil  hasil penalaran ilmiah berbantuan PhET Simulation pada materi elastisitas dalam kategori yang baik.Kata kunci: PhET Simulation, Penalaran Ilmiah, Elastisitas.  AbstractIn fact, the limited face-to-face learning carried out to fulfill physics learning in high school makes students' understanding of physics material still very lacking. It greatly affects the learning carried out. For this reason, to improve learning time efficiency and effectiveness, this study discussed the improvement of students' scientific reasoning on physics material, namely elasticity using the virtual lab, PhET Simulation. The purpose of this research was to find out and analyze the scientific reasoning profile of students in high school through the guided inquiry learning model. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a posttest only control group. The population in this study was all high school students in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The samples used were all students ithe class XI IPA 2 as the experimental class and all students in class XI IPA 1 as a control class. Both classes were given a final test (posttest) after applying the inquiry learning model in the experimental class and the direct learning model in the control class. The experimental results show that students have good enthusiasm in carrying out learning, the application of virtual lab media based on PhET Simulation has a fairly good level of effectiveness, and the profile of the results of scientific reasoning assisted by PhET Simulation on elasticity material is in a good category.Keywords: PhET Simulation, Scientific Reasoning, Elasticity.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap secara mendalam tentang penerapan pembelajaran akidah akhlak secara kontekstual di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Manbaul Ulum. Metode penelitian ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi mendalam dan dokumentasi. Tehnik analisis ditempuh melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penampilan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak yang berada di kelas IX MTs Pondok Pesantren Manba’ul ‘Ulum sudah diterapkan oleh guru pengampu dengan cukup baik melalui metode bermain peran. Hasil dari penerapan ini telah menimbulkan proses pembelajaran yang kondusif sehingga memudahkan sang guru untuk menyampaikan materi yang disampaikan dan siswa menerima materi pembelajaran dengan cukup baik.Kata kunci: akidah akhlak, guru, kontekstual  AbstractThis study aimed at revealing deeply the application of Akidah Akhlak contextual learning in Islamic Junior High School of Manba'ul ‘Ulum boarding school. The research method was descriptive qualitative. Research instruments were in-depth interviews, in-depth observations, and documentation. Analysis techniques were conducted through data collection, data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The results of the study show that Akidah Akhlak contextual learning in grade IX of Islamic Junior High School of Manba'ul Ulum boarding school is implemented quite well by the teachers through the role-playing method. The results of this implementation has led to a conducive learning process making it easier for teachers to deliver the materials and students to absorb the learning materials quite well.Keywords: akidah akhlak, teacher, contextual

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa pada kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Selakau Timur menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe circuit learning. Upaya tersebut dilakukan karena pembelajaran yang cenderung teoretis. Hal itu menyebabkan siswa kesulitan dalam mengonstruksikan antara pengetahuan dan pengalamannya ke dalam bentuk teks narasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang akan menjelaskan proses pembelajaran mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan, yaitu APKG 1, APKG 2, dan nilai siswa. Penelitian menunjukkan 3 hasil, yaitu: (1) Perencanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks narasi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe circuit learning mencapai nilai 46,43% pada siklus I dan 78,57% pada siklus II, dan peningkatan yang dialami sebesar 32,14%. (2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks narasi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe circuit learning mencapai nilai 78,75% pada siklus I, 100% pada siklus II, dan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 21,25%. (3) Hasil pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks narasi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe circuit learning menghasilkan nilai individu dan nilai kelompok. Pada siklus I diperoleh nilai 71, siklus II 85 untuk nilai individu. Sementara itu, nilai kelompok pada siklus I, yaitu nilai 75, siklus II 82. Adapun peningkatan nilai individu dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 14,04%, sedangkan peningkatan nilai kelompok dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 7%.Kata kunci: circuit learning, menulis, narasi, penelitian tindakan kelas AbstractThis study aimed to improve students' narrative text writing skills in class VII A of SMP Negeri 1 Selakau Timur by using a circuit learning type of cooperative learning model. This effort was made because the learning tended to be theoretical. It led students to have difficulties in constructing their knowledge and experience into narrative texts. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) which explained the learning process from planning, implementation, to evaluation. The data collection tools used were APKG 1, APKG 2, and students’ scores. The research shows three main results, namely: (1) the planning of learning narrative text writing skills using the circuit learning type of cooperative learning model reached a value of 46.43% in the first cycle and 78.57% in the second cycle, and the increase experienced was 32.14%; (2) the learning implementation of narrative text writing skills using the circuit learning type of cooperative learning model reached a value of 78.75% in cycle I, 100% in cycle II, and the increase experienced was 21.25%; and (3) the results of learning narrative text writing skills using the circuit learning type of the cooperative learning model produce individual and group scores. In the first cycle, the individual scores were 71 in the first cycle and 85 in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the group scores in the first and second cycle were 75 and 82 respectively. The increase in individual scores from cycle I to cycle II is 14.04%, while the increase in group scores from cycle I to cycle II is 7%.Keywords: circuit learning, classroom action research, narrative, writing

Abstract

Pesantren mengalami rintangan dan hambatan dalam perkembangannya. Hal ini dikarenakan intervensi dari lingkungan yang menuntut perubahan di dalam pesantren. Perubahan di dalam pesantren juga dialami oleh Pondok Pesantren Pabelan. Pesantren dalam sejarahnya mengalami masa surut sebanyak dua kali menjadikan perubahan-perubahan di dalam pesantren. Perubahan tersebut mengharuskan pesantren menjadi lebih modern. Hal ini yang mendorong penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai modernisasi pendidikan pesantren di Pesantren Pabelan yang mana dalam prosesnya berusaha untuk mengembalikan pengaruhnya di masyarakat. Selain itu, dalam prosesnya tetap menjaga kultur yang ada dalam masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan historis dengan fokus utama proses modernisasi Pesantren Pabelan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa Pesantren Pabelan dalam sejarahnya terutama pada masa surut kedua disebabkan karena ketergantungan pesantren terhadap kepemimpinan kyai dan permasalahan sosial di lingkungan pesantren. Dari permasalahan tersebut dilakukan perubahan diantaranya kepemimpinan secara kolektif; kontekstualisasi dan improvisasi metode pembelajaran, kontekstualisasi kurikulum dan perubahan yang mengedepankan kaidah hukum al-Mukhafadzatu ‘ala al-qadim al-ashalih wa al-akhzu bi al-jadid al-ashlah.
