Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan (The Educational Journal) is a double-blind peer reviewed journal on Education published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan welcomes and accepts qualified original research papers about education which are written by researchers, academicians, professionals, and practitioners from all over the world. This journal is published twice a year. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan has already had registration numbers of p-ISSN: 2442-6377 and e-ISSN: 2721-3595 issued by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). Al-Tarbiyah journal was inactive during 2016-2018. In 2019 this journal started continuing the publication of Volume 29.

Abstract

Peer assessment is the alternative assessment used by a teacher/ lecturer in assessing process and product in English language teaching and learning. The practice of peer assessment in higher education fosters graduate students more actively in the assessment process. This article aimed to explore graduate students' perceptions of the practice of peer assessment in an academic writing class conducted in the first semester of the English department graduate program at a University in Surakarta. This research was a case study, and the sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling, where 24 graduate students in academic writing class participated. A focused interview was conducted to explore graduate students' views on the practice of peer assessment for academic writing, which covered the feeling and challenges during peer assessment activity. The data were analyzed through the stages of examining, categorizing, tabulating, and recombining data. This study's result reveal that the peer assessment practice in academic writing class helps graduate students find the weaknesses in their writing that the they could not see by themselves. Feedback from peers during peer assessment practice completed the understanding of things the graduate students needed for revision. This research is expected to contribute to educational development by encouraging English writing lecturers' awareness to optimize peer assessment practice for assessing students writing.Keywords: peer-assessment, scientific writing, students’ perception.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pemahaman dan pengetahuan mahasiswa calon guru MI IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon tentang Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil survey sebanyak 149 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling.  Analisis data menggunakan content analysis. Setiap indikator jawaban responden dilakukan analisis konten untuk mendapatkan penjelasan tentang kandungan informasi atas persepsi tentang program MBKM. Hasil penelitian yang didapat ialah sejumlah 77% mahasiswa belum mengetahui isi kebijakan MBKM secara maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya informasi yang diperoleh mahasiswa sehingga ragu ragu untuk merekomendasikan program MBKM. Meskipun demikian, mahasiswa mempunyai minat dan antusias yang tinggi sebesar 59% dari total responden terkait adanya program MBKM. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya sosialisasi yang masif untuk mengenalkan program MBKM untuk mensukseskan keberhasilan program MBKM.Kata kunci: kebijakan MBKM, persepsi, mahasiswa PGMI. AbstractThis study aimed to measure the understanding and knowledge of prospective primary teachers of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon on the Freedom to Learn, Independent Campus (MBKM) Policy. This study was a quantitative descriptive study. The data collected by using questionnaires involved 149 respondents chosen through the random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using content analysis. Each indicator of MBKM perceptions was analyzed to figure out the explanation of the perceptions of prospective primary teachers of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon on the MBKM policy. The results of the study indicate that 77% respondents have not known about the MBKM policy yet. The lack of information obtained causes the respondents to not understand the contents of the MBKM policy and hesitate to recommend the MBKM program. However, 59% of the respondents have high interest and enthusiasm regarding the MBKM program. Therefore, massive socialization is needed to introduce the MBKM program for the success of the MBKM program.Keywords: MBKM policy, perception, prospective primary teachers

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran kegiatan remaja masjid Al-Qiyam Cirebon dalam membangun perilaku keagamaan yang baik dikalangan remaja, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang dihadapi remaja Masjid Al-Qiyam dalam membangun moral keagamaan remaja di Pancuran Utara Kota Cirebon. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu pengurus masjid dan anggota remaja masjid Al-Qiyam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan remaja masjid Al-Qiyam mempunyai peran dalam membangun perilaku keagamaan remaja yang lebih baik. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh remaja masjid yaitu dengan pendekatan secara personal, lalu merancang dan melaksanakan kegiatan dengan tujuan membina akhlak dan memakmurkan masjid Al-Qiyam. Kegiatan rutin remaja masjid Al-Qiyam dalam membina perilaku keagamaan remaja adalah dengan mengadakan kajian islam seperti baca tulis Al-Qur’an, belajar hukum tajwid, latihan barzanji, halaqoh. Faktor pendukung kegiatan remaja masjid Al-Qiyam adalah adanya dukungan dari masyarakat sekitar dan bertambahnya anggota pada setiap periode. Faktor penghambat kegiatan remaja masjid Al-Qiyam yaitu kesibukan sebagian pengurus, semangat anggota yang menurun, jarak tempuh dari rumah ke masjid, dan adanya aktivitas lain yang berbenturan dengan jadwal kegiatan remaja masjid.Kata kunci: kegiatan remaja masjid, perilaku keagamaan AbstractThis research aimed to describe the role of the mosque youth activities of Al-Qiyam Cirebon to build good religious behaviours among the youth and the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by Al-Qiyam mosque youth to build the youth religious morality in the North Pancuran of Cirebon city. The type of this research was descriptive qualitative research with data collecting techniques through observations and interviews. The subjects of this research were the board and the members of Al-Qiyam mosque youth. The results of the research shows that the activities of Al-Qiyam mosque youth play a role in building better youth religious behaviours. Efforts done by the mosque youth are doing a personal approach and designing and performing the activities aiming to build the moral and to prosper Al-Qiyam mosque. The routine activities of Al-Qiyam mosque youth in building the youth religious behaviours are holding Islamic studies like the Quran reading and writing program, the tajweed study, and barzanji and halaqah practices. The factors supporting Al-Qiyam mosque youth activities are the support from the surrounding society and the increase of members in each period. The factors inhibiting Al-Qiyam mosque youth activities are the busyness of half of the board, the decreasing enthusiasm of members, the distance from homes to the mosque, and other activities happening at the same time with the mosque youth schedule. Abstract

AbstrakBhineka Tunggal Ika, yang diterjemahkan menjadi “berbeda-beda tetapi tetap satu”, adalah semboyan negara Indonesia yang bertujuan untuk menghormati keragaman suku, budaya, agama, dan adat istiadat warga negaranya. Gus Dur kemudian berkeyakinan bahwa gagasan pendidikan Islam harus digunakan dengan mengedepankan prinsip-prinsip multikultural sehingga manusia dapat saling menghormati dan berinteraksi dengan baik, baik dalam lingkungan pendidikan maupun kehidupan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang multikulturalisme dan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam perspektif Gus Dur secara komprehensif. Jenis penelitian menggunakan kepustakaan dan metodenya deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pendidikan multikultural Gus Dur memiliki dua aspek yaitu aspek keberagaman serta aspek demokrasi dan HAM. Sementara itu, kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam harus mengikuti perkembangan zaman dan metode yang digunakan harus demokratis serta mendorong komunikasi antara peserta didik dan pendidik.Kata kunci: Multikultural, Kurikulum, Pendidikan Islam, Gus Dur  AbstractBhineka Tunggal Ika, which is translated into “unity in diversity”, is the motto of the Indonesian state which aims to respect the diversity of ethnicity, culture, religion, and customs of its citizens. Gus Dur then believed that the idea of Islamic education must be used by promoting multicultural principles so humans can respect each other and interact properly, both in the educational environment and in social life. This study aimed to comprehensively find out about multiculturalism and the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in Gus Dur's perspective. This type of research used a library study and the method was descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that Gus Dur’s multicultural education has two aspects, namely aspects of diversity and aspects of democracy and human rights. Meanwhile, the Islamic Religious Education curriculum must keep up with the era development and the methods used must be democratic and encourage communication between students and educators. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan memiliki tujuan meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran Akidah Akhak melalui media nadzhom (bait yang dinyanyikan) Aqidatul Awwam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua tahap. Setiap tahap dilaksanakan dalam tiga pertemuan. Subjek  yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas V dan peserta didik kelas V MI Asy-Syafi’iyyah Jatibarang sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam dan tes. Penelitian ini berfokus pada implementasi muhafadhoh nadhom Aqidatul Awwam terhadap minat dan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak dan faktor pendukung dan penghambat dari metode tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dengan metode muhafadhoh nadhom Aqidatul Awwam. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan penerapan muhafadhoh nadhom Aqidatul Awwam yaitu (1) mayoritas peserta didik MI Asy-Syafi’iyyah sudah lancar dalam membaca al-Qur’an, (2) nadhom dinyanyikan dengan irama yang mudah diingat, (3) penerapan yang konsisten, (4) diimplementasikan pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak. Namun faktor penghambat dari metode ini adalah membutuhkan waktu yang lama.Kata kunci: muhafadhoh, nadhom, aqidatul awwam, akidah akhlak  AbstractThis classroom action research aimed at increasing students' interest in learning the Moral Creed subject through the media of Aqidatul Awwam nadzhom (verses rhyming). This research was carried out in two stages. Each of the stages was carried out in three meetings. The subjects included in this study were fifth-grade teachers and students of MI Asy-Syafi'iyyah Jatibarang, while the data collection techniques in this study were in the form of observations, in-depth interviews, and tests. This study focused on the implementation of the muhafadhoh nadhom of Aqidatul Awwam on students’ interest in Moral Creed subject and the supporting and inhibiting factors of this method. The results of this study indicate that students' interest and learning outcomes increase with the method of Aqidatul Awwam muhafadhoh nadhom. The supporting factors of the implementation of Aqidatul Awwam muhafadhoh nadhom are: (1) the majority of students in MI Asy-Syafi’iyyah have been fluent in Qur’an recitation, (2) nadhom is sung in catchy rhymes, (3) the implementation is consistent, and (4) it is implemented in the Moral Creed subject. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir.kritis siswa di sebuah SMA Negeri dengan menggunakan model POE berbantu liveworksheets pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan.pada.penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa instrumen tes yaitu soal pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian kelas konvensional menunjukan rata-rata nilai pretest 47 dan rata-rata nilai posttest 70 dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,42 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Sementara, di kelas eksperimen, nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 45 dan nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 79 dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0.61 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, pada kelas kontrol, indikator yang mengalami rata-rata peningkatan tertinggi N-gain hanya indikator inferensi sebesar 0,72 yang termasuk ke dalam kriteria.tinggi. Pada kelas eksperimen, yang mengalami peningkatan tertinggi terdapat pada indikator analisis sebesar 0,97, indikator inferensi sebesar 0,91 dan indikator regulasi diri sebesar 0,78 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran.POE berbantu liveworksheets dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir krtis peserta didik pada materi perubahan lingkungan.Kata kunci: Model POE berbantu liveworksheets, kritis, perubahan lingkungan  AbstractThis study aimed to measure the critical thinking skills of students in a state high school by using liveworksheets-assisted POE model on the environmental change material. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental. The data collection technique was in the form of test instruments, namely pretest and posttest questions. The result of the conventional class shows an average pretest score of 47 and an average posttest score of 70 with an average N-gain of 0.42 belonging to the moderate category. Meanwhile, in the experimental class, the average pretest is 45 and the average posttest score is 79 with an average N-gain of 0.61 belonging to the moderate category. Thus, in the control class, the indicator that experiences the highest average increase in N-gain is only the inference indicator with the value of 0.72 belonging to the high criterion. In the experimental class, the highest increase occurs in the analysis indicator with the value of 0.97, the inference indicator with the value of 0.91, and the self-regulation indicator with the value of 0.78 belonging to the high category. The results of the analysis indicate that the liveworksheets-assisted POE learning model can help improve students' critical thinking skills on the environmental change material.Keywords: liveworksheets-assisted POE model, critical, environmental change

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk memberi gambaran bagaimana manajemen peserta didik di MIS At-Taqwa dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah perlu ditentukan keberhasilan pengelolaan manajemen peserta didik. Penelitian yang kami lakukan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, riset ini dilaksanakan dengan metode mengumpulkan informasi dengan melaksanakan pencatatan informasi serta data yang dikumpulkan, dikelompokkan, informasi yang diperoleh dari lapangan serta hasil pengamatan, wawancara serta pemakaian dokumen pada proses perencanaan, pengorganisasian, penerapan, pengawasan, serta penilaian. Penulis melakukan analisis data dengan cara mengorganisasikan data tersebut, menjabarkan ke dalam poin poin, melakukan sintesa, mengkonstruk ke dalam pola, memilih bagian mana yang akan dipelajari dan penting lalu membuat kesimpulan agar dapat informasikan kepada masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di MIS At-Taqwa Arcamanik Bandung peneliti dapat mengetahui bagaimana manajemen peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kualitas madrasah dan prestasi peserta didik yaitu terletak pada pembinaan peserta didik yang dilakukan di dalam jam pelajaran maupun di luar jam pelajaran. Terdapat beberapa kegiatan dalam pembinaan peserta didik pertama masa pengenalan peserta didik baru, kedua pengaturan absensi peserta didik, ketiga pencatatan kegiatan peserta didik di kelas, keempat pembimbingan kedisiplinan pesrta didik, kelima peserta didik menaati tata tertib sekolah, keenam promosi dan mutasi. Sehingga dari kegiatan manajemen peserta didik ini sekolah mendapatkan dua keuntungan yaitu yang pertama di bidang prestasi akademik dan prestasi non akademik yang diantaranya: juara Tahfidz Nasional, juara umum KSM (Kompetisi Sains Madrasah), juara Karate tingkat Asia, dan juara Futsal. Kata Kunci: Manajemen, pembinaan, peserta didikAbstractThe purpose of this study is to provide an overview of how student management at MIS At-Taqwa in improving the quality of education in schools needs to determine the success of student management. The research we conducted used qualitative research methods, this research was carried out using the method of collecting information by recording information and data collected, data grouped, information obtained from the field as well as results of observations, interviews and use of documents in the process of planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, as well as ratings. The author conducts data analysis by organizing the data, describing it into points, synthesizing, constructing into patterns, choosing which parts will be studied and which are important and then making conclusions so that they can inform the public. Based on the results of research that has been conducted at MIS At-Taqwa Arcamanik Bandung, researchers can find out how student management improves the quality of madrasah and student achievement, which in coaching students who are carried out during class hours and outside class hours. There are several activities in the development of students: the first is the introduction of new students, the second is setting student attendance, the third is recording student activities in class, the fourth is guiding student discipline, the fifth is students obeying school rules, the sixth is promotion and mutation. So that from this student management activity the school gets two advantages, namely the first in the field of academic achievement and non-academic achievements which include: National Tahfidz champion, overall champion of KSM (Madrasa Science Competition), Asian level Karate champion, and Futsal champion.Keywords: Management, coaching, students

Abstract

AbstrakLatar belakang pada penelitian ini disebabkan permasalahan yang ditemukan pada pembelajaran maharah kitabah di kelas Syardi Awwal Markaz Arabiyah Pare Kediri, diantara permasalahannya pembelajaran hanya dilakukan sehari 1 jam pelajaran sementara uslub yang di ajarkan sangat banyak sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk menggunakan Whatsapp untuk memberikan materi dan praktik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan prosedur, kelebihan serta kendala penggunaan Whatsapp dalam pembelajaran pembelajaran praktik maharah kitabah, Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif studi kasus. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa, guru, dan dokumen dengan menggunakan metode angket, wawancara, observasi dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosedur penggunakan WhatsApp diawali dengan menjelaskan materi uslub hingga mengawasi jalannya diskusi dan meluruskan jawaban siswa, sementra populasi responden berjumlah 35 responden. Adapun beberapa kelebihan dan kendalan yang ditemukan diantara: pembelajaran dapat dilakukan di mana saja dan kapan saja (29%), lebih praktis (23%), memiliki waktu diskusi lama (9%), dan mudah dalam pemakaian (39%). Selain itu beberapa kendalanya: tertumpu pada internet (29%), tertimbun chat lain (21%), kerjasama (37%), dan slow respon atau tidak di kerjakan (13%).  Abstract The background in this study was due to the problems found in Maharah Kitabah learning in the Syardi Awwal Markaz Arabiyah Pare Kediri class, among the problems learning was only done for 1 hour a day while there were so many uslub taught so researchers were interested in using Whatsapp to provide material and practice. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the use of Whatsapp in learning the practice of maharah kitabah. The purpose of this study is to describe the procedures, advantages and constraints of using Whatsapp in learning the practice of maharah kitabah. This research is a descriptive qualitative case study. Sources of data in this study were students, teachers, and documents using questionnaires, interviews, observations and documents. while the population of respondents amounted to 35 respondents. The results show that the procedure for using WhatsApp begins with explaining the uslub material to supervising the discussion and straightening out student answers. There are several advantages and constraints found among them: learning can be done anywhere and anytime (29%), more practical (23%), has a long discussion time (9%), and is easy to use (39%). In addition, there are several obstacles: relying on the internet (29%), being buried by other chats (21%), collaboration (37%), and slow response or not working (13%).

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu bagaimana sistem pengelolaan keuangan program pendidikan gratis di Yayasan Darul Ulum Bengkalis, yang berbasis di Kabupaten Bengkalis, Provinsi Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan gaya penelitian studi kasus. Wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi beberapa metode yang digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini. Sumber data mencakup data tertulis dan tidak tertulis. Langkah-langkah yang perlu dilakukan untuk sampai pada kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (a) pemeriksaan terhadap anggota, (b) menentukan apakah bahan referensi sudah cukup atau tidak, dan (c) melakukan triangulasi sumber dan metodologi. Peneliti yang menggunakan teknik Focus Group Discussion melalui tahapan analisis data (FGD). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem dan prosedur pengelolaan keuangan Yayasan Darul Ulum Bengkalis bersifat sentralistik atau terpusat pada yayasan yang membewahi beberapa lembaga. Yayasan menghimpun dana dari berbagai sumber, adapun pendidikan dengan layanan gratis di yayasan ini memanfaatkan sistem dana subsidi silang karena layanan pendidikan gratis ini hanya tersedia untuk sebagian siswa saja.Setiap lembaga perlu mengajukan RKAM kepada yayasan dan nantinya yayasan akan mengeluarkan dana sesuai  dengan RKAM yang diusulkan oleh lembagaKata kunci: PengelolaanKeuangan, Program Pendidikan GratisAbstractThis study aims to find out how the financial management system for the free education program at the Darul Ulum Bengkalis Foundation, which is based in Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study research style. Interviews, observations, and documentation of several methods used in the data collection process in this study. Data sources include written and unwritten data. The steps that need to be taken to arrive at a conclusion from this study are (a) examining members, (b) determining whether or not the reference material is sufficient, and (c) triangulating sources and methodology. Researchers who used the Focus Group Discussion technique went through the stages of data analysis (FGD). The results of the study show that the financial management systems and procedures of the Darul Ulum Bengkalis Foundation are centralized or centered on the foundation which oversees several institutions. The foundation collects funds from various sources, while education with free services at this foundation utilizes a cross-subsidized fund system because this free education service is only available to some students.Each institution needs to submit an RKAM to the foundation and later the foundation will issue funds in accordance with the RKAM proposed by the institution.Keywords: Financial Management, Free Educational Programs

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini didasarkan kepada permasalahan yang ditemukan di salah satu sekolah menengah atas yaitu model yang digunakan kurang bermacam-macam sehingga dianggap membosankan. Ketika menerima pembelajaran siswa merasa jenuh dan bosan, sehingga dan aktivitas pembelajaran di kelas cenderung menjadi lebih kaku dan pasif. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk menganalisis respon siswa terhadap model. pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantu Tebak Gambar pada materi Ekosistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Perolehan data dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa rata-rata respon siswa yaitu sebesar 80% dengan kategori baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantu tebak gambar ini dapat dipergunakan karena lebih menyenangkan sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif. Siswa diharapkan mendapat kesempatan yang sama untuk berkembang dan disarankan adanya penelitian yang mengkaji lebih dalam. lagi mengenai respon siswa. terhadap model. Pembelajaran.
