Abstract

Petroleum is an energy that cannot be renewed, but in everyday life, fuel oil is still the main choice so that it will recult in depletion of petroleum reserves. This study aims to analyze the quality of the charcoal briquette mixture of small leaf acacia wood charcoal whit a mixture of alaban wood charcoal. Parameters tested based on (ASTM D 5142 – 02). Charcoal briquette quality result obtained using Indonesian state standards (Indonesian National Standards – SNI). The results of research from small leaf acacia charcoal and alaban charcoal resulted in the average value of moisture content testing, density testing, ansh content testing, flight substance testing bound carbon content testing and calorific value testing. Testing of moisture content, density, ash content and calorific value met Indonesian standards, while testing for aerobic substances and bound carbon content did not meet Indonesian standards. The best quality charcoal briquettes that meet all the criteria of the Indonesian state standards (Indonesian National Standards – SNI) in treatment E (75% alaban charcoal and 25% small leaf acacia charcoal). The results obtained indicate that each treatment differences in the composition of charcoal powder have a significant effect on each parameter such as moisture content, density, ash content, flying matter, carbon content and calorific value.Keywords: Energy; Brike; Acacia; Alaban

Abstract

Aren tree (Arenga Pinnata Merr.) Is one of the palm trees that is almost spread throughout Indonesia and is one type of plant that has a high economic value for it needed a good way of plant propagation to get the quality we need, the propagation of palm trees only can be through the seeds so it takes preliminary treatment techniques. Techniques to accelerate germination aren feels unsatisfactory because the techniques that have been developed are still quite difficult so that the research using simple preliminary treatment and it is the answer of the difficulty of germination seeds aren. The techniques used are also simple as well as thinking, drilling, sanding and soaking the palm seeds. The purpose of this research is to know the power of seed sprouts. This research was conducted in November 2017 until February 2018 at Silvicultural Laboratory II of Faculty of Forestry Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru. This research used sand planting medium and had 3 different preliminary treatment on the seeds of seed (A) = Seed soaked in water with time ± 6 hours and applied to all treatment as originally, treatment (B) = abrasive using sandpaper with size roughness 80 and treatment (C) = Soak in hot water for 10 minutes at 100 ℃. The results showed the highest germination on treatment B with 65% sprout value of 20 seeds that have been tested and the results of observations that have been implemented within 90 days.Keywords: Arenga pinnata; germination; sanding; soak

Abstract

Limbah kulit sabut buah nipah yang cukup terbengkalai memiliki potensi cukup besar yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku briket arang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh campuran arang kulit sabut buah nipah dan arang alaban terhadap sifat fisik dan kimia briket arang yang dihasilkan, serta menambah nilai manfaat kulit sabut buah nipah dan arang alaban. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh briket campuran arang kulit sabut buah nipah dan arang alaban, dilakukan perlakuan 100% arang kulit buah nipah, perlakuan 75% arang kulit buah nipah, 25% arang alaban, perlakuan 50% arang kulit buah nipah, 50% arang alaban, perlakuan 25% arang kulit buah nipah, 75% arang alaban, perlakuan 100% arang alaban, perekat yang digunakan adalah tepung tapioka. Pengaruh briket arang yang dihasilkan memiliki sifat fisik yaitu kadar air berkisar antara 9,264% - 14,641% dengan kerapatan 0,5197g/cm3 – 0,6030g/cm3, sifat kimia yaitu kadar abu berkisar antara 26,91% - 34,97%, kadar zat terbang berkisar antara 54,800% - 65,567%, karbon terikat berkisar antara 9,459% - 29,310%, nilai kalor 4712,08kal/g – 5152,54kal/g. Pengaruh briket campuran arang kulit buah nipah dan arang alaban terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan 25% arang kulit buah nipah, 75% arang alaban dengan nilai kadar air 9,819%, kerapatan 0,60 g/cm3, kadar abu 34,65%, kadar zat terbang 59,067%, kadar karbon terikat 28,114%, dan nilai kalor 5116,53 kal/g berdasarkan standar ASTM (American Standard Testing and Material).

Abstract

There is no data on diameter increment of non-legume plants growing, especially in the reclamation and revegetation areas of the former mining area. This study aimed to calculate the diameter increment, current average increment (CAI), and annual average increment (MAI) of non-legume plants in the reclamation and revegetation area of PT Adaro Indonesia, which operates in Kalimantan Selatan Province, Indonesia. The results of this study can be used by this company to regenerate or embroider vegetation so that vegetation can provide ecological functions in a sustainable manner. In 10 (10 x 20) m2 measuring plots, the circumference of the breast height of woody plants at the pole and tree levels was measured in three measurement periods (December 2016, May 2017, and December 2017). The circumference was converted so that a diameter at breast height was obtained. From this measurement the increment and diameter growth obtained are as follows. Of the six non-legume plant species found and meeting the criteria of poles and trees, only gmelina and jabon could be calculated for increment and diameter growth. The increment and growth of diameter of balik angin, kapok randu, eucalyptus, and alaban were not counted by species because the number of individuals each species was very small, but it was calculated in a combined form with gmelina and jabon so that it become increment and growth of non-legume diameter. The diameter increment over the three measurement periods and the current annual increment (CAI) of gmelina are lower than that of jabon and also non-legume. On the contrary, according to its mean annual increment (MAI), gmelina is higher than jabon and non-legume.Keywords : diameter increment; growth; non-legume; reclamation; coal-mining

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Citronella (Cymbopogon citratus DC) kinds of gross plant that have the advantage of being able to grow dry and nutrient poor soil, citronella is also able to recorvery the physical and chemical properties of ex miner and also citronella has economic value. On this research atilization liquit organic fertilization to citronella plants on the pit mine, and knowing the best of growth on the every treatment. Location of the research at PT. Jorong Barutama Greston on Cut Channel UE Central location. This research using RAL 4 treatment with Polyfert, Bionature, LoBo, and Control repeated 50 times, so the number 200 plants with observed parameters of life, sprout growth, and dry biomass. The results ofresearch showing use Polyfert is better can be seen from the highest percentage of life with an average of 86%, the increase of bud buds a 5,20 averaging buds and for the measurement of plant biomass obtained an average of 68,86 gramsKeywords: Serai; liquid fertilizer; post mining land.ABSTRAK. Serai (Cymbopogon citratus DC) adalah tanaman jenis rumput-rumputan yang mempunyai keunggulan mampu tumbuh dilahan yang kering dan miskin unsur hara. Serai juga mampu memperbaiki sifat fisik dan kimia dilahan bekas penambangn dan juga serai mempunyai nilai ekonomis. Pada penelitian ini penggunaan pupuk organik cair pada tanaman serai bertujuan untuk mengamati daya hidup tanaman di lahan pasca tambang dan mengetahui pertumbuhan terbaik pada setiap perlakuan pada tanaman serai. Penelitian telah dilakukan di PT. Jorong Barutama Greston lokasi Cut Channel UE Central. Penelitian ini menggunakan RAL 4 perlakuan dengan pupuk Polyfert, Bionature, LoBo, dan Kontrol dan diulang sebanyak 50 kali, sehingga jumlahnya 200 tanaman dengan parameter yang diamati daya hidup, pertambahan tunas, dan biomassa kering. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk Polyfert lebih baik penggunaanya dapat dilihat dari presentase hidup terbanyak dengan rata-rata 86%, pertambahan tunas rata-rata 5,20 buah tunas dan untuk pengukuran biomassa tanaman didapatkan rata-rata 68,86 gram.Kata kunci: Serai; pupuk cair; lahan pasca tambang.

Abstract

The contribution of income per individual as well as family income needs to be known to know the productivity of a business. The collection of wood forest products, such as galam (Melaleuca leucadendron) is often attempted by the community because of its diverse functions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the total income of the community, galam farmers, rice farmers and joint ventures and analyze the amount of community contribution from the utilization of fierce forests in Sei Pasanan Village. The data collection technique in this study was conducted using Purposive Sampling according to the properties, characteristics, and criteria that have been determined. The data collected in this study consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data includes knowledge data, attitudes, characteristics of respondents, and public interaction data. Secondary data collected is obtained through village profile data. Interview using questionnaires is the method using in this study. The total respondents selected were 86 respondents consisting of 40 galam farmers, 32 rice farmers and 14 joint business respondents. The income of community families in Sei Pasanan Village of Kahayan District of Kuala Central Kalimantan for farmers amounted to Rp873,787,500, rice farmers Rp363,410,823 and joint ventures of Rp336,699,972 in Sei Pasanan Village per month. The percentage of the community contribution from the utilization of galam forest is 55.5% sei pasanan village per monthKontribusi pendapatan per individu maupun pendapatan keluarga perlu diketahui untuk mengetahui produktivitas suatu usaha. Pemanfaataan hasil hutan kayu, seperti galam (Melaleuca leucadendron) sering diusahakan oleh masyarakat karena fungsinya yang beragam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis besarnya total pendapatan masyarakat  yaitu petani galam, petani padi dan usaha gabungan serta menganalisis  besarnya  kontribusi  masyarakat  dari  pemanfaatan  hutan galam di Desa Sei Pasanan. Teknik pengambilan sampel dan pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan Teknik Purposive Sampling sesuai sifat karakteristik, ciri, dan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Data yang dikumpulkan terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu data primer dan sekunder. Data yang termasuk data primer meliputi data karakteristik responden, sikap, pengetahuan dan data interaksi masyarakat. Data sekunder yang dikumpulkan diperoleh melalui data profil Desa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah Wawancara menggunakan kuisioner. Total responden yang terpilih ialah 86 responden yang terdiri dari 40 petani galam, 32 petani padi dan 14 responden usaha gabungan. Pendapatan keluarga Masyarakat di Desa Sei Pasanan Kecamatan Kahayan Kuala Kalimantan Tengah untuk petani galam sebesar Rp873.787.500, petani padi Rp363.410.823 dan usaha gabungan  Rp336.699.972 di Desa Sei Pasanan perbulan. Persentase besarnya kontribusi masyarakat dari pemanfaatan hutan galam  yaitu sebesar 55,5 % Desa Sei Pasanan perbulan.

Abstract

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2016 re-issued the regulation P.60 / Menlhk / Setjen / Kum.1 / 2016 on article 23 point 1 in its contents "All stages of administering timber forest products from natural forests are carried out through SIPUHH. One of them is the use of android-based ITSP. Android smartphones are equipped with Global Positioning System, that is connected to satellites so they can capture coordinates without commercial networks. This study aims to modify the ITSP application and determine the level of time difference between manual recording and android recording. This study uses the Waterfall method, namely the stages of making an Android application and a comparative method to compare the time of use of Android and the manual for use in the forest. The results of this study are an Android-based ITSP application created on the Thunkabel App web and Android Thunkable emulator. The results of the comparison of the time tested on 10 trees were obtained when the average use of Android was 0.38 seconds while the manual was 0.26 seconds. Comparison of the time on the 5 plots of measurement obtained the average usage time of Android 3.00 seconds while the manual is 2.11 seconds. Factors that affect the use of Android for longer because the registrar with android are less accustomed. The advantages of using ITSP android in the form of coordinates of each tree is immediately obtained and the results of tree data that has been input stored in the CSV extension that can be opened with Microsoft Excel, while the ITSP deficiency manual tree data must be retyped to make a cruising report.Keywords: Android Aplication; Forest Inventore; Barcode

Abstract

Durian tourism objects in the village of Biih have natural potential as a tourism attraction. This tour is interesting because it only exists in the durian season. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of tourists visiting durian tourism objectsand get information as a reference for the development of durian tourism objects. The method used is direct observation to the field by conducting interviews with tourists in accordance with the contents of the questionnaire. Based on information from tourists who are respondents namely cleanliness and public facilities that exist in durian tourism is not good, while for road access, tourist attraction, and security there is enough. Based on the rating category of the perception rating of tourists towards the development of durian tourism objects in the village it is classified into the medium category. Durian tourism in the village is a newly developed tourist spot and still requires special attention to be further developed. There are still many things that must be developed from durian tourism both from road access to the location ad facilities provided and also the cleanliness of tourist attractions.Keywords: Perception; Traveler; Durian tourism objects.

Abstract

The purpose of this researchis to find the prediction of the use of raw materials the manufacture of barecore, determining the amount of reserving the raw material economical, knows when time reservation back and knew the amount of supplies safety  at PT. Surya Satrya Timur Corporation Banjarmasin. The benefit of this research is to review and analyze and activity management production, especially in control supplies of raw materials. Barecore is layer of the core in process of making a blockboard which consist of a wood strip that arranged with such a manner. The raw materials is important for an industry, every industry need to do control activitiesas the raw materials supplies to make activities of production effective and efficient. Based on the result known that use of raw material in 2017 reached 3773,19 m³ withoptimum order as much as 38 times at 99,646 m³ every time order. The size of supply shall belong the corporate 49,50 m³ with a point reservation back whenraw materials reached 74,64 m³. the availability of raw material will be easing a process production of the economically and efficient.
