Abstract

Abstract: Home sanitation is closely related to the incidence of infectious diseases, especially acute respiratory infection. based on data obtained from technical implementation unit  public health Gianyar II in 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the state of home sanitation and the incidence of acute respiratory infection in the petak village  of Gianyar regency with a cross sectional study design. the sample size of this study was 91, family heads were selected by systematic random sampling, statistical testing using the chi square test. Chi-square test results obtained room air ventilation (p value 0.004 a 0.05) natural lighting of the room (p value = 0, 005 a 0, 05) room air humidity (p value 0,000 a 0,05) room air temperature (p value 0,000 a 0,05) room occupancy density (p value 0,018 a 0,05) room wall (p value 0,004 a 0,05) room floor (p value 0,001 a 0,05). there is a relationship between the state of home sanitation and the incident in the petak village of Gianyar regency. recommended that the community open a henderson every day so that air circulation is smooth so that the temperature of humidity and sunlight in the room can be fulfilled and pay attention to the number of occupancy in the house and always pay attention to the number of occupancy in the house and always pay attention to the cleanliness of the walls and floors, so that they are not used as breeding grounds for germs.

Abstract

Abstract. Water is one of human need, availability and existence of water source should be preserved and protected from pollution. The purpose of this research to know the quality of water from "Yeh Sana" springs. The method of this research is descriptive. The results obtained are the physical parameters temperature 26,50C, TDS 300 mg/l, turbidity 2 NTU, no taste, odorless, colorless, chemical parameters pH 6,5, Nitrite 0.05 mg/l, Nitrate 10 mg/l, iron 0.3 mg/l, hardness 60 mg/l, and bacteriological parameters E. Coli 0/100 ml sample and Coliform 2.2/100 ml sample. Observation of water pollutant risk factors in "Yeh Sana" springs. A value of 2.2 from coliform indicates the presence of waste that can contaminate waters from animal and leaves. Concluded the water from "Yeh Sana" springs qualifies the quality of physics, chemical quality and does not qualify microbiological quality. Recommended for the community to cook water before drinking, always keep the springs clean, make a of protection of the springs.Keywords:, springs, water, water quality

Abstract

Washing hands with soap is an effort to prevent disease. The focus of this wash your hands with soap is school children as agents of change for better health behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge, the role of the teacher, the availability of facilities and the action of washing hands with soap in Primary school  Negeri 5 Pedungan in 2020. This research was a descriptive study. The number of samples taken was 34 students. Sampling using systematic random sampling. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire for the level of knowledge, the role of the teacher and a check list for the availability of facilities and hand washing measures. The results showed that 31 students already had a good knowledge of hand washing and 3 students had enough. For the role of the teacher in the act of washing hands in students get 33 students from 34 students in the good category and only 1 student in the sufficient category. For the availability of facilities in Primary school Negeri 5 Pedungan, 3 main criteria are available. The 7 steps of hand washing from 34 students get 12 students categorized as good, 19 students categorized as sufficient and 3 students categorized as lacking. It is recommended for students to apply clean and healthy living behaviors, especially washing hands with soap in everyday life.

Abstract

In the food processing business it is known that the use of preservatives to maintain the durability of a food ingredient, but in practice there are still many producers who use dangerous preservatives such as formalin in food products, one of which is in the salted long jawed mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.) and salted Asian Snakehead (Channa striata). The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in formalin content in the salted long jawed mackerel and salted Asian Snakehead fish This study used an analytical survey with a cross sectional design. The samples were then examined using the Formaldehyde Test method. The results of this study indicate that from 162 samples of the fishes examined, 19 salted mackerels (23.5%) and 39 salted snakeheads (48.1%) were free of formalin and fulfilled the health requirements with a formalin content of 0 mg / l. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in formalin content in the salted mackerels and salted snakeheads sold in the traditional market in Denpasar in 2019.

Abstract

Indoor air pollution is a crucial thing cause it will affect for human health. One of the things that can be done in indoor air pollution to control indoor air pollution by using plants, namely Sansevieria trifasciata which is Green Tiger sp. This research is done in order to identity the absorption the level of Sansevieria to reduce carbon monoxide pollution. The research used pre-experimental design through the analytics of One Group Pretest Posttest. Statistical analysis using paired t – test. The level of carbon monoxide pollution were decreased after being treated by Sansevieria, which is from 64.27 ppm ± 11,87 and 42.06 ppm ± 12,68 and the results of the Paired t-test showed that the value of P namely 0.01 or P 0.05. Therefore, the utilization of Sansevieria in the room is needed to reduce carbon monoxide pollution, also furtter research future research is needed to be done.

Abstract

Abstract:The high cases of DHF are strongly influenced by environmental factors that include geographical and demographic conditions. These factors are very influential on the population density of Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes. The presence of larva Aedes Aegypti in a region is an indicator of the presence of Aedes Aegypti mosquito populations in the area so that it can lead to the occurrence of cases of DHF, therefore the eradication strategy needs to be done through mosquitoes eradication activities (PSN) by the community continuously and periodically. The purpose of this research is to know the review of Mosquito Nest (PSN) and Aedes aegypti investation level in Padang Sambian Kaja Subdistrict, West Denpasar District. The type of descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The number of samples is 97 people with random sampling method. Data collection by doing larvae and kusioner examination. Result of research got result of implementation of eradication of mosquito nest by society in sub district of Padang Sambian Kaja District of West Denpasar mostly in less category that is counted 41 person (42,3%). The index of Aedes Aegypti Infestation Level record in Padang Sambian Kaja Village is included in the high risk of HI = 82.97%, CI = 19.61%, and BI = 156.70%. Suggestion to involve the community in larva examination by forming cadres jumantik so it can perform periodic larvae examination at each region.

Abstract

Abstract Worms infection in Bali Province is still a disease that is a public health problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of hygiene and sanitation booklets on worm disease prevention measures in elementary school students in the village area of Tenganan, Karangasem Regency. This study used a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design method. The sample consisted of 51 students in the control group and 51 students in the treatment group. Data analysis used paired sample t-test and independent samples t-test. The results of student assessments of hygiene and sanitation used paired sample t-test analysis of the control group p 0.05, while the analysis results in the treatment group were p 0.05. Furthermore, the results of the analysis of independent samples t-test on the post-test of the control group and the treatment group for hygiene obtained p 0.005 and p 0.05 for sanitation. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of hygiene and sanitation booklets on the prevention of worm disease in elementary school students in the village of Tenganan, Karangasem Regency. Recommendations to primary school principals that this “Handworm Hygiene and Sanitation Measures Booklet” can be used as a reference in physical education and health subjects.  Keywords: Sanitation, Hygiene, Booklet, Worms

Abstract

Abstract: Dengue hemorrhagic fever is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus and is transmitted by aedes aegypty mosquitoes. Puskesmas Blahbatuh I in 2016 is included in the top 10 cases of Dengue Fever which is 195 cases (Dinkes, 2017). The purpose of this research is to know the level of density of mosquito larvae Aedes aegypty as dengue fever vector in the working area UPT Kesmas Blahbatuh I Year 2018. Type of research used in this research is descriptive research type with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in working area of UPT Kesmas Blahbatuh I which consists of five villages namely Medahan Village, Keramas Village, Pering Village, Belega Village and Bona Village.Obtained HI value (House of Indeks) : 16 %, CI (Container Indeks): 8 %, BI (Bruteu Indeks): 16 %, ABJ (Larva Free Rate) : 84% and DF (Density Figure ) : 3 as a medium density. The Prevention is do PSN or eradiation of mosquito breeding. The conclution is the area of UPT Kesmas Blahbatuh I has been moderate the mosquito larvae density.

Abstract

Abstract: Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) levels in home industry of Chicken Slaughterhouse’s wastewater that exceed the standard are discharged into water which will cause environmental pollution and will decrease in dissolved oxygen content in waters which can result in the death of aquatic organisms. The results of measuring BOD levels in Chicken Slaughterhouse, UD Giri Sari wastewater obtained an average of 814.78 mg/L which exceeds the quality standards of the Regulation of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2014 concerning Wastewater Quality Standards, that the BOD content is 100 mg/L. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effect of Moringa Oleifera seed powder dosage on reducing levels of BOD in wastewater in the Chicken Slaughterhouse industry in 2021. The method in this study was a Quasi-experimental with a Pre-Test-Post-Test Group research design. In the normality test, the data were normally distributed, then based on the One Way ANOVA test, the significant value that obtained was 0,000 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a difference in the effect of the dose of Moringa oleifera seed powder on reducing levels of Biochemical Oxygen Demand in wastewater of Chicken Slaughterhouse industry in 2021. BOD levels and met the quality standard, namely the dose of 1 g/L with a result of 93.44 mg/L which decreased by 88.53%.

Abstract

Based on preliminary observations, there are four canteen at State Junior High School 2 Kuta Selatan Badung Regency, which in between the canteen is divided into several plots of buildings that are not the same width. Among the four canteen are some of them in terms of buildings and placement locations can be detrimental to people who shop because it is very close to the temporary shelter. Research objectives to know the sanitation of school canteen at State Junior High School 2 Kuta Selatan Sub-district of Kuta Selatan Badung Regency Year 2018. By using descriptive research, writer do observation and interview to canteen and school attendant. The results of this researcher obtained the condition of the building and canteen facility and presentation hygiene got result not fulfill requirement with 50% percentage and fulfill requirement with 50% percentage. In the storage of food and beverage equipment all the canteen classified as qualified with 100% percentage and on the measurement of light intensity results obtained that is 75% canteen and 25% eligible eligible. Suggestions that can be submitted to the canteen management, students and teachers and the school to better pay attention to better sanitation for the canteen at the State Junior High School 2 Kuta Selatan Badung Regency 2018
