Abstract

Fitness is regarded as having sound strength and endurance, which promotes a healthy mind. Exercise is repetitive bodily movements done to improve or maintain one or more of the components of fitness. Skill-related health concepts are the underlying skills that are needed in sports competition includes body balance, speed, agility, power, coordination, and reaction time. This study examined the influence of aerobic exercise on the physical related fitness of athletes in the University of Ilorin. The factors investigated are muscular power, agility, body balance, speed of athletes in the University of Ilorin. A descriptive research design of survey type was used for the study. The population of the study was 150 athletes in the University of Ilorin. The purposive sampling technique was used to select the entire 150 registered population by questionnaire. Frequency and percentage were used to analyze the demographic data of respondents and the four null hypotheses were tested using the inferential statistic of chi-square at 0.05 alpha level. The findings revealed that; aerobic exercise has a significant effect on the muscular power, agility, body balance, and speed of athletes in the University of Ilorin. Based on the findings, the study recommends that University of Ilorin athletes should engage in power explosive exercise with the help of the coaches to improve their muscular power, Athletes in the University of Ilorin should engage their players in the Illinois Agility run test to determine their agility level and engage in agility exercise to maintain and improve their agility fitness level.

Abstract

The world is currently facing an energy crisis. This research was conducted to create alternative energy by utilizing abundant biomass in nature. The novelty of this study: (1) Use of soybean biomass with coconut water as an electrolyte paste, (2) Testing of bio-battery resistance to wall clocks, and (3) Comparison of the composition of the two materials. In this study, an electrolyte paste made from soybeans (SBs) and coconut water (CWs) with a ratio of 7/1, 6/2, 5/3, 4/4, 3/5, 2/6, and 1/7. To support the analysis, an electrical voltage test and a battery resistance test for wall clocks were carried out.  The experimental results show that the composition of coconut water increases the value of the electric voltage on the bio-battery. The composition of coconut water serves to activate the ions in the paste. Meanwhile, more soybean content will increase bio-battery life. It was found that the bio-battery with electrolyte paste of soybeans and coconut water can be used as alternative energy. The results of this research are expected to offer renewable alternative energy for world energy security.

Abstract

This study was purposely made to assess biosecurity, or the management of risks to health, economy, industry, and environment. The consequences are caused by the worldwide pandemic proved the need for a biosecurity program, therefore making this study significant. The study utilized the qualitative research design, where ten participants from different professions and runs of life were surveyed and interviewed. Various online platforms like Messenger and Google forms, as well as a one-on-one individual depth interview, were conducted and used to gather the information needed. The findings are presented as follows: in terms of awareness, a community needs to be educated and knowledgeable about biosecurity; in terms of leadership and practice and implementation, to have success in biosecurity in the municipality, there must be a reliable leadership and strict implementation of ordinances; and in terms of behavior, it has a big role on strengthening biosecurity in Kalamansig. This study concluded that a biosecurity program is essential, and needs more attention in the Philippines. This study is beneficial to society in the present age and in the years to come as it aims to strengthen society’s human biosecurity and protect the health and well-being of every individual.

Abstract

Student satisfaction is of utmost importance to universities. Understanding that problem, factors affecting the satisfaction of online education on the digital teaching page of students in Ho Chi Minh City were studied to give suggestions to universities to improve the satisfaction of online education. satisfaction as well as the quality of online teaching. From the theoretical basis and research model of the available studies, we have adjusted and come up with our formal research model. The research methods are qualitative and quantitative methods. The questionnaire was processed by SPSS with techniques to evaluate the reliability of the scale through Cronbach Alpha coefficient, EFA factor analysis to identify groups of variables to include in multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there are two groups of variables affecting student satisfaction arranged in descending order: Lecturer and Interaction, Course overview. An overview of studies in the world shows research on factors affecting online learning. Studies in the world conducted from 1989 to the present have changed a lot in terms of research contents and methods with many different angles in many countries. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, studies on this issue have only been carried out in recent years, mainly in the direction of assessing the impact of factors on learning outcomes without any comprehensive research. assess the factors affecting student satisfaction, propose measures suitable to the current context to overcome, and have a better overview of the problem. Therefore, this study was conducted to fill in this research gap.

Abstract

Fossil energy is still the main contributor in Indonesia. In fact, based on a study it is stated that fossil fuels will only last 50-70 years. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the role of geothermal energy as renewable energy. Geothermal energy is very good if it is developed into a new and renewable energy source because it has a good impact on the environment. Geothermal energy also does not damage the local conditions such as mining activities so that biodiversity is preserved. Then, the operation period of the Geothermal Power Generation (known as PLTP) can be more than 30 years and does not require fuel. Geothermal energy is environmentally friendly, and its potential impact on pollution is minimal. Thus, geothermal energy is the right solution to overcome dependence on fossil energy that is not renewable and is expected to run out in the near future.

Abstract

Kemojo cake is a traditional food of the Malay people from Riau Province. In ancient times, this cake was a snack for the king and guests of the Siak kingdom, which was located in Siak Regency, Riau Province. At that time, not everyone could enjoy the Kemojo Cake because it took a very long time to make. In ancient times, Kemojo Cake was always served at weddings, traditional events, and major Islamic events. The shape of Kemojo Cake holds the symbol of Frangipani flowers. Nowadays, it is not difficult to find Kemojo Cake because many sell it, especially in the city of Pekanbaru. Now, Kemojo Cake is sold with very interesting variations with different flavors and shape modifications. Because of that, preservation by remaking the original Kemojo Cake is very important. One of the objectives of the preservation is to maintain the original Kemojo Cake so that it will not be lost and so that it will get preserved by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Participants in this study were divided into 3 types: Kemojo Cake experts to find out about Kemojo Cake in-depth; Kemojo Cake businessmen to prove that Kemojo Cake had been modified both in terms of taste and shape, as well as to prove the greatness of the existence of Kemojo Cake in Riau Province; and local people who traditionally make Kemojo Cake as a form of conservation effort.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is whether online math games can be one of the basic arithmetic lessons during the online learning process during the Covid-19 Pandemic. To support the research, we use an experimental research method, which is to try out a lesson using an online math game application to 10 4th grade elementary school students for 2 days. While the approach used in this study is quantitative. The results show that there are still many students who are not fluent in working on basic arithmetic problems before playing math online games. So that learning through online math games is very helpful for students in improving their numeracy skills. This is because as long as students play the game, students can continue to hone their numeracy skills. Thus, the student who gets a final score of more than 70 at the time of the post-test increase to 50% compared to the time of the pre-test which is only 40%. Therefore, it is clear that online math games can be a method of learning basic arithmetic to improve students' numeracy and literacy levels.
