Abstract

In the process of learning a song work, constraints often occur in students' limited memory. The song material given at the first meeting will be forgotten when reviewed at the second meeting, to overcome this we try to apply number notation as a way for students to recall the tone of the song that has been given. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency and response of the application of number notation to song learning in junior high school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, the data collection technique used in this study is to provide a pre-test and post-test which contains 10 questions regarding numerical notation. The findings of this study gave a positive response to the students, in the initial pre-test found results that were not good because many of the students did not understand numeric notation at all, but after that they were shown a video of reading material notation of numbers and then a post-test was carried out, the results were good. The students made progress after seeing the video. The conclusion of this study is to implement numeric notation in the song learning process, making it easier for students to memorize the material and making it easier for teachers in the process of conveying it, thus it is hoped that it can be a solution to the problems previously mentioned.

Abstract

The earth's temperature from 1981 to February 2021 has relatively increased. The increase in temperature on earth has made many people choose to use air conditioning so that the temperature in their homes is not too cold. The energy demand from air conditioning worldwide will be three times as much by 2050. Bangladesh has created a system called the Eco-Cooler as an alternative to lowering room temperature without using large electrical energy so as to save energy and costs. The eco-cooler can reduce temperatures from 1-3˚C in a room with a size of 4.2 × 4.2 × 3.3 m3 using an Eco-cooler with a bottle diameter of 6 cm and a board area of 48 × 48 cm2. This can be a good educational point for being applied in Indonesia. The advantage of using the Eco-Cooler is that it is easy to maintain, easy to use, the air is more humid, and it saves energy.

Abstract

The increasing number of deaths due to COVID-19 followed by an excessive number of burials had risen the emergence of a safety plan, supporting the burial process to minimize the dangerous impact on the human. The conventional way of burying the corpse with infectious disease in Indonesia utilizes ropes to lower the coffin and involves four to eight people. However, this is not practical because it is energy-wasting and crowding. This paper aims to propose a design of a safe, practical, and robust coffin lowering machine. The proposed design is available for all ages with a weight of up to 200 kg. The design has a 2000 x 600 x 750 mm dimension, in which the width can be extended from 600 to 1000 mm. The straps for lowering the coffin are mounted on the left and right-side shafts. Each of the components is connected with a pin joint. Then, the components are analyzed by calculating the static and fatigue strength to obtain the safety factor and to determine the service life. As a result, the proposed design demonstrates the safety factors for static and fatigue condition that are higher than one, indicating it can be considered for fabrication. In addition, the presented work can be referred as a problem-based learning case study in Machine Element Course.

Abstract

Fossil fuels are the main source in producing electrical energy continuously on a large scale in various countries. This will have an impact on the exhaustion of fossil fuels. Therefore, energy substitute for fossil fuels is needed. PLTMH is a renewable energy source that uses water to solve the problem of electrical energy. The purpose of this study is to determine the water discharge, the speed of water flow that comes from tap water as a source of electricity generation. Based on research in the journal, the novelty is the manufacture of power plants using simple tools to produce good and accurate research data. The research method used is literature study. Literature studies are taken from various sources that describe power generation tools using energy. From the research results in the journal, it can be seen that the higher the water discharge, the higher the mechanical efficiency of the propeller turbine. In addition, the higher the water discharge also affects the generator output power. The conclusion of this study is that the water flow that is flowed from tap water to the hose greatly affects the voltage generated, where the electric voltage will be greater if the efficiency of the turbine mechanism which acts as a mechanical energy converter and the generator output power as an electrical energy converter is high enough. The impact of the research is expected to continue to be developed and be useful as renewable energy for electrical energy problems.
