Abstract

Chemical engineering is a field of study that focuses on increasing the values of one form of material to the other via chemical processes. Its typical activities cover research and development, feasibility studies, engineering designs, plant operations, and improving plant performances. The goal of this research is to analyze “Chemical Engineering Special Needs” by combining mapping analysis and the VOSviewer app. The Publish or Perish app is also used to support and find articles that are relevant to keywords used for searching. Thus, "Chemical Engineering” and “Special Needs" were used as the keywords for this study. There are 800 relevant articles published between 2018 and 2022, based on the search results. The number of publications on "Chemical Engineering Special Needs" has declined, according to the research findings, notably in 2021. This study should aid researchers in conducting and deciding on a research topic regarding the correlation between special needs and chemical engineering.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to look at the issues of anticipating and reducing stress caused by changes in a person's life (patient). This study looked at patient narratives as one of the most effective types of psychotherapeutic work with adults, especially work geared at masculine development. We paid specific attention to the issues with signal metaphors and psychological transformation triggers. The research technique was based on a theoretical understanding of the issues of anticipating and reducing the stress of life changes (patient). The key findings of this study revealed that the patient overcome liminality or estrangement from himself and the world. In a person's life, a metaphor serves as both a signal and a trigger for change. Then, its use, in one way or another, discloses zones that are vulnerable to change and encourages change. Metaphors can be found in a variety of archetypal frameworks as well as specific role model metaphors. They allow you to assess the patient's internal movement toward the achievement of a specific motivation or intention, encourage upward and/or slow down downward goals, and understand how the patient perceives external changes and how he reacts to change stress.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing students are a group of people who need special education, but that has not been fulfilled in the Indonesian education system. This research is field research conducted at SLB-B Negeri Cicendo Bandung, the oldest deaf school in Indonesia, located in Bandung. This research was conducted by observing the activities of students in the classroom and in-depth interviews with their teachers; this was done to initiate discussions about various aspects of their education. Problems with language and speech mastery, teaching methods, students' dialectical relationships with technology, and experiences of stigma are used to bring out their life experiences. The study underscores the need to develop and improve the ability to master spoken and spoken language and academic content development. This will increase the access of deaf students to a wide range of disciplines and allow them to go beyond the basic level of attainment.

The skill of making “Opak Bakar” is taught in schools. This study aims to determine the ability to make Indonesian traditional food “Opak Bakar” skills in class X children with intellectual disabilities. Following the objectives to be achieved, this study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. This research was conducted on 3 children with intellectual disabilities and 1 class X skills teacher. One of the theories that underlie this research is the task analysis theory. The results showed that mild children with intellectual disabilities were able to make grilled “Opak Bakar”, which started by washing rice, making glutinous rice, adding rice flour, drying opak, and burning “Opak Bakar”. Some children find it difficult to mix the glutinous rice, print the glutinous rice into a rectangle, cut the “Opak Bakar” thin and rectangular shape and determine the color of the Indonesian traditional food “Opak Bakar”. This study recommends that schools complete skills teaching aids that are following the types of skills programs in schools.

Abstract

The study was designed to examine rational emotive behaviour psychotherapy and depressive behaviour among secondary school adolescents in Yobe State, Nigeria. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 30 students for the study. The sample participants consist of 15 male and 15 female students. All selected samples were subjected to experimental. The quasi-experimental research design was used in the study. Beck’s Depressive Behavior Inventory (BDI) was administered to assess depressive behaviour before and after the intervention with a 0.85 reliability coefficient. Rational emotive behaviour psychotherapy (REBP) was employed as the treatment for the experimental group. t-test statistical tools using (SPSS) were used to test the 3 hypotheses formulated. The result revealed that REBP was significantly effective in depressive behaviour; the difference in the depressive behaviour was significant for Gender but not for age. Because of these findings, the study recommended that students should be trained on the effective usage of this intervention in REBP. Experts in educational counselling psychologists should intensify their effort to organize seminars/conferences on the implications of this intervention.
