Abstract

Tanjungpura University of EngineeringFaculty Pontianak particular use SIAKAD applications in the academic process. ApplicationsSIAKAD facilitate students to perform academicprocess as a process of inputting LIRS, LIHS,transcript Value and others. This application is to helpstudents because the students no longer bothered towrite all the subjects as in the old system but simplyby selecting options from the application. The systemwas developed to complement SIAKAD application isto use the trigger. Trigger serves as the commandfunction of data duplication. Any data that is enteredeither by students or faculty the trigger will make abackup copy of the database. Trigger requires asystem to be able to access the database residing on adifferent server by using Federated Storage Engine. Federated Storage Engine to be a bridge that connectsto the database backup trigger. Each event occursInsert, Update and Delete the backup database triggerwill access through the Federated Storage Engineexecutes the same event on the backupdatabase.Trigger tested with black-box method, thetest results when doing Insert, Update and Delete thetrigger is executed and the process the same on thebackup database.

Abstract

Academic Information Systems or betterknown as SIAKAD, is a system thatbuilt for the fulfillment of the data andinformationneeds on the academic colleges. SIAKAD that built at the Department of ElectricalEngineering Faculty of EngineeringUniversity is a kind ofintegration and development atthe Department of ElectricalEngineering SIAKAD which was built intwo platforms, desktop-based for FacultyOperator and web-based that runin the EngineeringFaculty intranet for Students. Furtherdevelopment on SIAKAD to facilitatetechniques users in processing and accessdata online, through Internet connectednetworks.Literaturestudies, datacollection, system requirementsanalysis, system design, implementationand testing and the analysis of the testresults, are steps in this research. Thesesteps resulted a SIAKAD of ElectricalEngineering Department, where this systemgrant permissions on four different types ofusers, called Faculty Operator, AcademicOperator, Lecturers and Students. In orderto design this system, researcher used adiagram methodical approach that isdivided into three kind of diagram modelsuch as, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) todescribe the flow of data on a system thatconsists of two main parts of the systemdata input and data flow analysissystem, flowchart diagram to describesystem used and Entity Relationshipdiagram (ERD) to explain the relationshipbetween the data in the database based onthe data base objects that haverelationships in between. By analyzing theneeds of the academic system, a web-basedAcademic Information System is able tocombine the features of two previoussystems of different platforms thatacademic communication and dataexchange between operators, lecturers,students and academics can be carried outsmoothly. web-based siakad can be used bystudents, faculty, and academic operators,with each having access rights and differentfeatures, so operating in the communicationand exchange of academic data runsmoothly.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an application that can determine the percentage of similarity to the C code and post using Rabin-Karp algorithm. In this application the input use is a code C and Pascal who type *. C and *. Pas, while the output of the application is in the form of percentage similarity of both the tested code and the processing time required in each process. The results of this study are called "Similarty Checked" is developed using Borland Delphi 7. This application can determine the percentage of similarity of code under test. On the application of "Similarity Checked", there are 5 stages of a process called preprocessing to prepare the program code before checking the similarity of two documents, that are: case folding, filtering, parsing, k-gram, hashing and two-stage process to obtain the percentage of similarity checking code ie: checking the rabin-Karp algorithm and determination of the value of similarity calculated by dice similarity coeficients. Testing is done by trying out some of the code C and Pascal programs are different, and by using k-gram values ??are different. Based on the testing that has been done, showed that the application has been designed to determine the percentage of similarity of code C and Pascal programs were tested.

Abstract

Guidance, consultancy and discussionbetween students and lecturer are an activity thatsupports the smooth and effective learning process in university, and also facilitate the process of re-listsemester. Therefore, an online web-basedmonitoring system with real time notification isdesigned. This system aims is allowing students andlecturer to consult, facilitating students to designcourses to be taken in the next half of the semesteron the re-registration process, and allowing all usersto access the system data on the system either viacomputer, mobile phone, iPad and othercommunication devices that support. In addition toweb-based communication services, this system alsorequired communication service to support thesystem efficiency by using SMS (Short MessageService) gateway feature. SMS gateway canperform transactions with database to send anotification message update of the system to allstudents and lecturers in real time.

Abstract

Seleksi Mandiri Tanjungpura University is one of the entrance method to the college, especially in the TanjungpuraUniversity. Registration of Seleksi Mandiri Tanjungpura University done directly by the candidates of the student. This existing method takes quite a long time. The number of applicants is not proportional to the number of committees that serve and verify the administrative requirements of participants, so this resulted in a queue ofstudent candidates. Online system that used as a service in the registration system have been widely applied in daily life. It proved to minimize the problems that previously occurred. Long lines of queue and paper used as a medium of registration can be reduced and prevented with the online service systems. Electronic form is an application that designed for Seleksi Mandiri Tanjungpura Tanjungpura University registration system. Application form fulfillment will be possible to conduct in conditions of a computer connected or not connected to the Internet. However it can be done at offline. One method to protect data from unwanted party is to randomize the data sent, so if the data is received by the other party, they do not understand the purpose of the data. Blowfish algorithm is an algorithm which is quite good and applicable. Blowfish have varying levels of security, the key length used by Blowfish may vary by the system. The application uses data snap technology by applying service application so it becomes more secure because of the indirect communications with the back end. The results show that the design and testing of these applications can be used for the registration process. Prospective participants will receive a registration receipt cards used to take exams.

Abstract

Nowadays, information technology andmobility development with the need of moreconvenience and faster data access especially inmonitoring or surveillance of a building have becomea matter of urgency. One of the example is mobiledevice or mobile phone that has the technology toaccess the image using IP-based cameras that used ascamera monitors. The live streaming monitoringsystem in general use devices such as cameras andtelevisions or computers as the device hardware. Withthis monitoring system, users will allow to takeadvantage of this system that restricted only to thesame place with a television or computer monitorused. Therefore, it can be developed a dedicatedmobile application for devices with Android platformthat provide the ability to access the IP cameramonitoring via live streaming and historicalmonitoring of IP cameras that stored into the storage,so it can be optimized by the user when needed. Thetest results showed that the application can monitorlive streaming building with MJPEG format onAndroid mobile devices.

Abstract

Abstract - In recent several years, there was a rapid development in mobile phone technology. One is the development of smart phone with many features and also complex operating system that similar to a computer. Although smart phones have many features that included in the operating system, but long or short messaging service known as SMS is still popular in use. SMS feature that still exist till today, bring out the question about the safety of information if someone wants to send a confidential information via SMS facility. The ease of exchanging information via SMS is misused by some people. Some people with a variety of ways to try to steal information that's illegal. Therefore, we need a way to secure the information that is confidential and important. Encryption process can be used to improve the SMS text message levels of information security. Currently, AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is used as a standard for cryptographic algorithms. Therefore, it can be developed an SMS application with a text encryption using AES algorithm. Mobile-based applications built on the Android platform. The test results showed that the application can perform encryption of short messages with text to a particular destination number and can not decrypt the encrypted message. Application can help users to send short messages in a secure, fast, and easy.

Abstract

Batik is one of the heritagesin Indonesia that needs to be remained anddeveloped. There are several types andpatterns in traditional Batik that suit to thephilosophies and the customs of each region inIndonesia. One of the Batik varieties in Indonesia is based on the custom in WestBorneo. However, it takes a long time to thebatik designers in West Borneo in creatingnew batik patterns. This research is aimed to create asoftware in resulting new varieties in Batikpatterns of West Borneo. Through thissoftware (BAKAT), the provided basic Batikpattern (jpg) that is choosen by user will bedeveloped into the new patterns. The validity of this Batik patterndevelopment software are tested throughblackbox method to identify whether theapplication in this software work well or not.The finding of this research reveals thatgeometric operation in this West Borneo’sBatik pattern development software can resultnew Batik patterns with 98,89% success rate.

Abstract

The process of counseling student thesis hasbeen done often assessed sluggish, causing studentsand faculty not to a strict schedule so that constructionconsultation thesis thesis students become protractedand even abandoned. Therefore, for the sake of timeefficiency and performance of lecturers and students, we need a system that can monitor and report onprogress of thesis students to students, faculty andparents of students. The purpose of this study was toproduce a system of monitoring the development ofinformation and early warning of thesis-based SMSgateway that can assist in the completion of the thesiswriting process to run smoothly and optimally.Information systems are built to provide studentprogress reports skirpsi, recapitulation studentsmentored by faculty, students report past its guidanceand early warning in the form of SMS messagesautomatically sent to the mobile phones of students,faculty and parents of students if there are studentswho do not do counseling thesis within the allottedtime.The results of the analysis and testing of black-boxmethods shows that an information system monitoringand early warning of thesis-based SMS gateway canrun well and help facilitate communication betweenfaculty and students in the process of ongoingcounseling thesis.

Abstract

Quality of service is theability of a network to provide better serviceto serve network traffic that passing throughit. From the results of a survey conducted bytaking a sample of the 2040 Quality ofService (QoS) for 16 days, the Internetnetwork at the Faculty of Medicine,University of Tanjungpura get value of 2.33at SSID Hotspot_FK and 2.53 at SSIDHotspot_FK2 with a standard category Fairin Telecommunications and InternetProtocol Harmonization Over Networks(TIPHON). For the average DownloadSpeed on SSID Hotspot_FK amounted to252.53 Mbps and 871.71 Mbps for SSIDHotspot_FK2. As for the average UploadSpeed on SSID Hotspot_FK amounted to99.19 Mbps and 372.55 Mbps for SSIDHotspot_FK2. Applications that used in themeasurement is the command prompt,wireshark, and google chrome which refersto the site speedtest.biznetworks.com andwww.pingtest.net. And the measurementresults can indicate the QoS parametervalues consists of packet loss, delay, jitter,throughput, and mean opinion source.Factors that could influence the networkQoS is attenuation, distortion, noise andbandwidth capacity
