Abstract

This study describes the design of the pauses predictor application of speech sentences in Bahasa Indonesia with Hidden Markov Model (HMM). This application serves to determine the pauses event that occur in Bahasa Indonesia sentences. There are two main processes in this application which is train to train the corpus, and prediction to predict pause. On the train, the input text is produced from sound files, and the output is training corpus for HMM engine. In the prediction process, inputs are words of Bahasa, and outputs are pause prediction that occurred earlier in the input sentence. The results of this study is the sentence that has been predicted in each pause events. Testing is done using precision and recall of training corpus and tagging pause prediction results. The results of precision and recall is calculated back to the f-score. Based on the testing that has been done, showed that the designed applications can already predict a pause in the Indonesian sentences with precision of 0.364, recall of 0.132, and F-score of 0.194

Abstract

Deliberation sub  district development plan  is one way to increase the impact of development. Results of deliberation sub  district development planwill be discussed again in the unit forums then compiled and refined into a work plan. Planning  Information Planning is an application development used to improve the performance deliberation sub  district development plan  and  unit forums on Bappeda  Kubu Raya and  participant  from various regions and  unit forums. In practice often found several obstacles such as the absence so information systems can assist in the implementation of this activity. The author builds information systems development using the  Technology Acceptance Model  (tam)  and Structural Equation Models  (sem)  in the design and establishment of web applications. This site will be operated by an employee and become operator of each district or unit forum. The operator will get an account from  Bappeda Kubu Raya,  then  the operator of a sub district or unit forum can use the application to include the proposed activities of the sub district or unit forum. Operators who use these web applications can participate without having to meet in a room. Results can also be seen by web visitors.

Abstract

There are many tourist place located around Singkawang and make the tourist hard to choose the best route to go to the place that they want. That problem is the background of the writer to make an application that can show the most efficient route to the tourism place with maps view. The algorithm that writer use in this application is floyd warshall algorithm. This algorithm search the shortest route from the position of user to the tourism place that he want to go. The input of this application is the place chosen by user and the output is the shortest route to that place. The data of tourism place are came from Dinas Kebudayaan, Pariwisata, Pemuda dan Olahraga and the data of the distant route are came from  Dinas  Pekerjaan Umum  Singkawang. Based on the research, the  writer conclude that the application succeed in applying floyd warshall algorithm to search the shortest route to go to tourism place in Singkawang. In this application, there also a features for showing the location of all tourism place in Singkawang.

Abstract

Stop motion is one of the traditional animation technique that has been use from the beginning of an early animation film up until now.  As one of the traditional technique, there is a lot of things that can not be animated with stop motion. One of them is a movement of an animation that shape like a particle with abstract and fuzzy movement. Based on that reason, the production of an short animation film is conducted that will combine stop motion technique with particle system; which is a digital animation technique. In this research, particle system technique will be added in post production so the elemental effects that can’t be produce by stop motion technique can be added. Resulting in one animation that combine the traditional animation technique, stop motion, with digital animation technique, particle system. From the qualitative comparative technique that comparing the scene before and after post production state of effects, also quantitative comparative technique with the sum of particle that had been emitted and the pixel count and also velocity count. It is concluded that the particle system technique succeeded in covered the lack  of stop motion technique in animated the movement of an abstract and fuzzy object.

Abstract

Language  is an  important  means ofcommunication  for humans,  because  language  make  wecan find out the information that we need, at other side wecan  convey  our  ideas. With the rapidly development of technology  in  all sectors,    nowdays the machine translation has been developed to  overcome  languagetranslation  problems. Statistical  machine translation  is  anapproach to  machine translation  with  translation resultsgenerated  on the basis of  statistical  models  whereparameters are  taken  from  the results of  the analysis ofbilingual text corpus (parallel corpus). Parallel corpus is apair of corpus that contain sentences in a language and the translation.  The goal  of this research  is to develop  andimplement of statistical machine translation for translationfrom Indonesian into Sambas Malay and  translation from Sambas Malay into  Indonesian,  and conduct  testing  toobtain  the value of  accuracy  and  quality of  statisticalmachine translation, and also to conduct  testing  to  obtainthe value of  accuracy  and  quality of  statistical  machine translation. In  this study  are  conducted  two  tests,  the firstconducted  tests on  statistical  machine translation of Indonesian  into Sambas Malay translation  and  secondtest on  statistical  machine translation  of Sambas Malay into Indonesian translation. On test  1  (Statistical Machine Translation  of  Indonesian  to  Sambas Malay)  generate  the value of  BLEU  score  of  0.5555  or  55% while    on  Test  2(Statistical  Machine Translation  of Sambas  Malay  toIndonesian) produces BLEU score of 0.4950 or 49%.

Abstract

Current educational needs are increasing with the rising of community economic rate. This causes high school students' interest are also increasing to  continue their study to a higher state. However, most of the students find it hard to make a decision of which course is suitable for them, so they are likely to choose it by considering parents' or friends' suggestion without understanding the course itself. The mistake in choosing a course could lead to negative impacts of their study, such as the longer school term they should bear, or mostly, the lower grade point average (GPA) they should face. This problem happens to the upcoming Engineering students  too, so it takes a decision support system (DSS) that is able to provide recommendations by considering their major in high school, the study results, as well as their interest on choosing the courses in Engineering Faculty. This system uses K-Nearest Neighbor method, by comparing the data of new students with the graduated students of Engineering Faculty, so it can generate a course recommendation, the length of the school term prediction and also the prediction of their GPA.

Abstract

Food is a basic need for humans. The more advanced a nation, the greater demands for quality of the food they consume will be increase. Nevertheless there are still many places where the unmet  food evenly. Food insecurity could cause to hunger, malnutrition and health problems, and worst is death. Food insecurity can be seen in terms of production, consumption and distribution. Geographical mapping activities should be planned and conducted to assist in determining priority areas that potentially have food insecurity. This research aims to map the areas of potential food insecurity in the district of Pontianak and analyze the indicators that have been defined, specifically the access roads, the number of grocery stores, the amount of maternal mortality, malnutrition, electricity, health facilities and poor families. The analysis of composite prioritization is done by using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and analysis of clusters (clustering). Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a method used to construct a new variable which is a linear combination of the original variables. To give the accurate results, the variable will be reduced to create a new variable called principal component. Observation Cluster analysis is also used to perform the analysis of existing patterns, classifying objects into groups that have similar and classifying the pattern.  This system can  help us to manage the tabular data of indicator and displayed as maps and generate reports in tabular form of potentially food-insecure areas.  The conclution of this research represent the priority areas of food insecurity are Wajo Hulu, Jungkat, Sei Nipah, Parit Bugis, Galang, Peniraman, Sei Pinyuh, Sei Bakau Besar Laut, Pasir Wan Salim, Penibung, Terusan and Sei Limau. Based on the  questionnaire  testing,  the result  shows the average respondent gives 50% percentage point of the importance of this application.

Abstract

Information is a data collection which have specific function and purpose for its receiver. Information has high urgency level to be delivered immediately to its receiver. This urgency level to deliver information also applied in college society Engineering Faculty of Tanjungpura University. Lecturers and students mobility outside university could interfere important information to be delivered via information board. Mobile devices was a right media to deliver information. For those reason, an integrated information  broadcasting  system which consists website, android application, email and SMS was developed.  Web based system will synchronize with user’s android devices. If user doesn’t have android device or not synchronized to web server for a specific time, system will send information by email and user will also receive notification SMS. From test result there was a conclusion that this information broadcasting system has really good result  to be implemented inside Engineering Faculty of Tanjungpura University environment.

Abstract

The problems that occur in thesocietysuch as bad infrastructure and public welfarecause information about the location of the problembecomes very important to be known by thegovernment. Society Reporting GeographicInformation Systems (SIGMA) is an application thatprovides information based on the geographicalposition of a photograph. With the SIGMA, thesociety could help the government to collectinformation about the location of the problem withuploading photos via the web and the androidapplication so that the government can monitor thedistribution of the location of the problem, planningand taking countermeasures quickly and accurately,especially for areas far from the government’sattention. This application utilizes the phone'scamera featuresthat has a direct synergy with theGPS feature to provide information about the objectand the condition known as geotagging. Photos thenuploaded via a web application, or using androidapplication which can be downloaded from thewebsite. Through GPS metadata contained in thepicture, SIGMA will get the coordinates for thelocation of the photo then displayed it on the map.The results show that the web and the androidapplication can upload photos that have coordinateinformation. The test results of a questionnaire usingLikert's method Summated Rating (LSR) earned atotal score of 2369 which showed that respondentsare very positive and successful application.

Abstract

The data encoding of meteorologyobservation that is still done manually by the observeroften create the wrong result of the code. On the otherhand, the unstructurized database makes thepresentation of data quickly and accurately beconstrained. Therefore the aplication that able tomanage the data of observation structurally and showit into information that is easy to understand isneeded.Test results have shown that the application is capableto encode the weather data automatically andgenerate output like monthly reports and other reportsas required of Stasiun Meteorologi MaritimPontianak. It can be concluded that the system hadbeen running according to the purpose of fieldwork.
