Abstract

The learning conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic have been declared massive throughout the world. Researchers see this as a phenomenon that is closely related to the problem of student learning motivation who uses the concept of online learning during the pandemic. The focus of this research is directed at student learning motivation as measured by the existence of a theory which is used as the main reference. This study aims to determine and measure the percentage contribution of each motivational indicator from Herzberg's theory to determine the level of student learning motivation in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Subjects and samples in this study were all grade IV elementary school students in Cluster 7 Cibinong District totaling 121 students. The author collected data using a questionnaire distribution technique. The analysis technique used by the writer is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the six indicators showed good results in accordance with the description of the research findings. The results of the analysis of the six indicators show that 57.9% are in the good category and 42.1% are in the very good category. This reveals information that students who are subjects in the study have good learning motivation in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. So that it can be recommended for consideration of research results for schools, teachers and parents in conducting online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research aimed to analysize mathematical problem-solving abilities in plane figure material based on his Polya’s theory in fourth-grade students of SDN 5 Kalipucang Kulon. This research is based on test and interview results which show that mathematical problem-solving skills of fourth grader was still low. Problem solving skills is real effort in order to find for way out or idea related to goals to be achieved. Mathematical problem-solving indicator according to Polya’s theory are four stages, including: (a) understanding the problem, (b) devising a plan, (c) carrying out the plan, and (d) looking back. This research used descriptive qualitative design. The participants were 6 fourth-graders by high, medium, and low categories. The researcher collected the data by documentation of problem-solving ability test and interview. Data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion. The research result showed that (1) students with high category were able to understand the problem, devisie and carry out the plan, and look back according to Polya’s stage. (2) Medium category students were only capable to understand the problem, devise and carrying out the plan, but unable to do looking back. (3) Low category students face a difficulty in understanding the problem, can not write completion plan and do the calculation, and also unable to look back the answer. This research suggested to teachers to be able to accompany and provide special attention to low grade students problem-solving ability in facing the story questions, and should getting used to students in a way introduce story questions related to daily life so that students will get used to face problem in mathematical study.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject related to daily activities. For students, this subject is the most difficult. The material in question is about the Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) and Highest Common Factor (HCF) Based on the results of interviews with class teachers, students' grades are low in this material. This difficulty causes learning obstacles. One of the obstacles experienced was being confused when working on questions about the KPK and FPB which did not match the examples from the teacher and the difficulty of mastering the concept of factoring which was related to arithmetic operations. This is evidenced by the daily test scores from this material, namely from 28 children there are 14 people whose scores are below the KKM. So, it is important to make efforts to overcome this learning obstacle. Furthermore, the research was carried out to know student barriers, knowing the factors causing this learning obstacle, and knowing the level of difficulty of the questions for using the Rasch Model analysis. This study uses a qualitative approach with a quantitative descriptive method involving 28 students and teachers to take tests and interviews related to this material. The data analysis in this research uses the Rasch Model with the help of the Winstep software version 4.5.2. The results of this study indicate that the Rasch Model analysis for the learning obstacle on this material tends for students' abilities to be smaller than the level of difficulty of the questions

Abstract

The use of traditional game media has the potential to be used in mathematics learning. This study aims to improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at State Elementary School of 14 Teminabuan, South Sorong, West Papua on the competence of Highest Common Factor (HCF) and Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) through the application of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model assisted by the Dakon teaching aids. The type of research conducted is classroom action research (CAR). This research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 stages, namely: planning, observing, implementing, and reflecting. The increase in students' understanding of the Highest Common Factor (HCF) and Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) concepts was higher after receiving learning by applying the Two Stay Two Stray model with the aid of Dakon props than the understanding of students who received conventional learning model. There is a tendency to increase student activity in the learning process after receiving the Two Stay Two Stray model learning aided by the Dakon props in Cycle II than the student activity in the pre-action and Cycle I which received teacher-centered learning.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic is turning the originally face-to-face education system into online learning. Online learning is one form of educational innovation that answers the challenges of the availability of varied learning resources and adaptation of learning activities to achieve academic goals. Therefore, during the pandemic, online learning is necessary for learning to continue at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study is to know the planning, implementation, and evaluation of online learning activities on materials of the nature and changes of the shape of objects in 5th grade of SDN Kedaleman IV Cilegon in the 2020/2021 school year. This study uses a qualitative approach and case study method. The subjects of this study were four students and four parents in 5th grade of SDN Kedaleman IV Cilegon participated in online learning activities. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation. This study's data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that online learning in 5th grade of SDN Kedaleman IV Cilegon has the following stages: Planning stages such as determining the application used, creating WhatsApp groups, preparing learning materials, tools, and supporting materials in online learning, choosing learning methods and media. The implementation stage involves preliminary, core, and closing activities by using facilities in supporting online learning activities, namely virtual face-to-face and LMS. The evaluation phase consists of an evaluation of tests (assessment of knowledge with an assignment of questions and assessment of skills with practical tasks) and evaluation of online learning implementation programs (advantages and disadvantages and constraints and solutions)

Abstract

Anger expression or angry expression is one of the emotions that covers a person at a time. Especially this happens to children who are very difficult to overcome. Expressions of anger in children often occur in class, for example, such as fighting with friends, bothering friends who are studying, grabbing other people's things, and so on. This can create unexpected expressions such as anger, annoyance, fear, disappointment, and so on. Therefore, an alternative is required to overcome anger expression one of which is role-playing. The theory used is that the negative impact of emotions is to interfere with motor skills and interfere with mental activities. The role-playing is a form of learning activity in which children are actively involved in playing certain roles. This study researchers used a qualitative approach and methods of research used literature studies. The answer to problem’s formulation, researchers employ data collection techniques of literature and meta-analysis to address the problem and discussion in chart and descriptive form. Based on library results done by researchers, it could be concluded that the expected child’s expression of anger could be the student could reflect on events that would trigger emotions, such as not disturbing their friends who are seriously studying, asking for permission when borrowing items, staying calm during learning take place. As well as the literature found that role-playing is one of the games that has a good influence on dealing with children's emotions. So that role playing is used as an alternative to overcome angry expressions.
