Abstract

This research is aimed at comparing whether students taught using guided discovery learning model perform better in mathematical reasoning and disposition. This research employed quasi-experimental design involving 62 fifth grade students from two different elementary schools in Lembang. The data were collected by utilizing a test, a questionnaire and an observation sheet. The data obtained from the test and questionnaire were analyzed statistically using t-test to see two different average values. The result of the analysis and t-test show that there were two different average scores in which the students taught using guided discovery learning model achieve higher scores in terms of mathematical reasoning and disposition compared to students taught using conventional learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) develop MONPERA media in social studies learning for Elementary School grade IV students, (2) determine the appropriateness of MONPERA media, (3) determine students’ responses and teacher’s responses to MONPERA media in Social studies subject class IV Elementary School, (4) know the increasein social studies learning achievement of fourth grade students of Banjar Sari 2 Elementary School after using MONPERA media.This type of research is research and development (RD).The research subjects 15 grade IV students. Development procedures are research and data collection, planning, product draft development (develop preliminary for mof product), preliminary field testing, revising test results (main product revision), testing field testing (main field testing), and product refinement of field test results (operational product revision).

Abstract

Implementation of Scientific Approach to Improve Process SkillsStudents on Water Cycle Concepts. This Class Action Research aims toimprove the process skills of the students to the concept of the water cycle by implementation of scientific approach to the fifth grade students of StateElementary School 3 Nagri, Purwakarta. In the first cycle an increase in thevalue of the process skills pretest value 73.84 into 73.91. In the second cycle an increase in the average value post-test be 74.77, and the third cycle an increase in the average value became 85.27. From the observation of group work in the first cycle, the average value of process skill activities 71.52, from nine groups of only four groups reached a value above the KKM. In the second cycle the average value of process skill activities 74.30, six groups reached a value above the KKM. Value of process skills of students In the third cycle 85.42. Implementation of scientific approach can improve the skills of the process in each cycle, therefore the researchers recommend further studies in science teaching more focused on the science process skills. Penerapan Pendekatan Saintifik untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Siswa pada Konsep Siklus Air. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses siswa pada konsep siklus air dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik pada siswa kelas V SDN 3 Nagri Kidul, Purwakarta. Intrumen yang digunakan adalah tes, lembar pengamatan observasi, dan lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan nilai keterampilan proses dari nilai pretest 73,84 menjadi 73,91. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan kenaikan nilai rata-rata post-test menjadi 74.77, dan pada siklus III terjadi peningkatan kenaikan nilai rata-rata menjadi 85.27. Dari pengamatan kerja kelompok pada siklus I, rata-rata nilai kegiatan keterampilan proses sebesar 71,52 dari 9 kelompok hanya 4kelompok yang mencapai nilai di atas KKM. Pada siklus II rata-rata nilaikegiatan keterampilan proses 74,30, enam kelompok mencapai nilai di atas KKM. Dan Pada siklus III nilai keterampilan proses siswa 85,42. Penerapkan pendekatan saintifik terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses pada setiap siklusnya. Oleh karena itu peneliti merekomendasikan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dalam pembelajaran IPA lebih di fokuskan kepada keterampilan proses sains.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keadaan rendahnya minat dan motivasi mahasiswa dalam menghasilkan tulisan khususnya tulisan yang mengangkat bahasa, budaya, dan seni Indonesia. Peneliti mencoba untuk menerapkan Rancangan Inovasi PBL Berbdasis Experiental Leraning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan liteari menulis mahasiswa sekaligus untuk melihat respons mahasiswa terhadal rancangan model pembelajaran tersebut. Untuk mendapatkan data penelitian, peneliti menggunakan instrument tes, lembar observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perguruan tinggi UPI terhadap mahasiswa S1 prodi pendidikan bahasa Indonesia. Literasi menulis atau literasi terhadap teks tertulis atau tercetak digambarkan sebagai aktivitas dan keterampilan yang berhubungan secara langsung dengan teks yang tercetak, baik melalui bentuk pembacaan maupun penulisan. Di negara-negara maju, seseorang yang memiliki kemampuan membaca dan menulis pada tingkatan tertentu dianggap sebagai masyarakat modern. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh respons mahasiswa yang positif terhadap Rancangan inovasi PBL Berbdasis Experiental Leraning tersebut. Sebagian besar dari mahasiswa memberikan respons yang menyatakan bahwa model rancangan pembelajaran tersebut menarik dan dapat membantu mereka dalam mengembangkan kemampuan literasi menulis dalam mata kuliah Apresiasi Bahasa dan Seni di Universitasi Pendidikan Indonesia This research is motivated by the low level of interest and motivation of students in producing writing, especially writing that raises Indonesian language, culture, and art. The researcher tries to apply the PBL Based Innovation Based Experimental Design to improve students 'literary writing abilities as well as to see students' responses to the design of the learning model. To obtain research data, researchers used test instruments, observation sheets, interviews, and questionnaires. This research was conducted at UPI tertiary institutions towards S1 Indonesian study program students. Writing literacy or literacy of written or printed texts is described as activities and skills that relate directly to printed text, both through reading and writing forms. In developed countries, someone who has the ability to read and write at a certain level is considered a modern society. The results of the study obtained a positive student response to the Experimental Leraning Based PBL Innovation Design. Most of the students responded saying that the learning design model was interesting and could help them develop their literacy skills in the Language and Art Appreciation course at the Indonesian Educational University

Abstract

This research aims to find out the application of the round club learning model, student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in class IV SDN Karangtumaritis I Indramayu Regency. The subjects in this study were grade IV students who numbered 25 students with research objects were round Club learning models and student learning outcomes on IPS subjects. Data collection techniques use observational data, documentation and case studies. Research procedures through 4 stages namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative and quantitative data analysis technique. The indicator of the success of the research is the completeness of individual mastery with a minimum value of 71, and classical mastery of at least 85%. The result showed that the application of the round club learning model can improve student learning outcomes in IPS subjects in class IV SDN Karangtumaritis I Indramayu Regency.

Abstract

Keutuhan Tahapan Pembelajaran IPA denganPendekatan Saintifik pada Buku Siswa Sekolah Dasar Kurikulum 2013.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keutuhan tahapan pembelajaran denganpendekatan saintifik di buku siswa SD Kurikulum 2013 khusus di bidang IPA.Analisis buku didasarkan pada pentingnya pengembangan pendekatansaintifik, pentingnya buku sebagai panduan pembelajaran, dan kesenjanganpenelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif di manapeneliti mendeskripsikan kegiatan di buku sesuai dengan fakta yang ada.Buku yang dianalisis adalah buku siswa SD kelas 1, 2, 4, dan 5. Analisisdilakukan menggunakan isntrumen rubrik analisis yang telah diolahpeneliti.Dari hasil analisis, diperoleh informasi bahwa tidak ada kegiatan dibidang IPA yang menerapkan tahapan pembelajaran dengan pendekatansaintifik secara utuh (5 tahapan). Maka buku siswa perlu diperbaiki olehpemerintah dan guru. Guru juga perlu melakukan kegiatan tambahan agarpembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik dapat terlaksana dengan maksimal.

Abstract

Character is very closely related to religious, psychological, moral and character values that distinguish a person from others. In this era of globalization, moral shifts are rife which result in the loss of character of Indonesian children. For this reason, education needs to take part in building character education in children, so that Indonesian children can become individuals who have characters that are in accordance with their national identity. This study aims to examine and find out how the implementation of character education in elementary school students. Our research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, namely collecting existing theories and concluding them into new theories. From this study we found that character education can be applied in elementary schools through methods of applying character values during learning, learning methods outside the classroom, helping disaster victims, and solving problems/cases that make students think critically to solve them.

Abstract

Introducing English from an early age is a positive and absolute thing to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources, especially in facing the current era of globalization. This study aims to provide a factual and accurate picture of learning at Darul Hikam Kindergarten in introducing English to early childhood, which includes planning, implementation and evaluation processes. The method used to support this research is descriptive analytic. The subjects of this study were group B students of Daul Hikam Kindergarten. The research data were obtained through interview guides, observation guidelines, documentation studies and literature studies. It can be concluded that English for early childhood at Darul Hikam Kindergarten has been introduced through methods that can support the learning process so that it can run well and be fun, and can be an advantage of Darul Hikam Kindergarten schools.

Abstract

The purposes of this study was to know whether there is a positive influence between working motivation towards teachers’ performance of social study in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Karangpawitan District, Garut. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method with a number of samples of 120 teachers. The instruments are compiled in these study as many as 60 items of three variables. From the results of research show that F count of 25.091, since F count (25.091) F table 3.07, then Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is simultaneously a significant influence on working discipline and working motivation on the teachers’ performance in teaching social study. The magnitude of the effect of variable discipline and motivation influence 30% of the teaching performance of teachers while the remaining 70% is contributed by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

In the 21st century, one of the life skills that students must master is financial literacy. However, the facts on the ground show that financial literacy material has not yet been included in learning in elementary schools. This study aims to develop teaching materials to improve the financial literacy skills of elementary school students. Based on the analysis of the social studies curriculum in grade IV elementary schools, there is no editorial related to financial literacy. One solution is the development of teaching materials. This teaching material was developed using the Design and Development method with the Richey Klein model. This model consists of planning, production, and evaluation stages. Data collection techniques used are literature study and expert validation. The research instruments needed are AMP sheets, teaching material structure sheets, and questionnaire sheets.
