Abstract

Creativity is the most important thing to make ends meet. With creativity will create a variety of innovations that are useful both fort themselves and others. Today local wisdom is a dynamic source of knowledge. Entrepreneurship based on local wisdom in improving student business can be a development for entrepreneur learning models at the College of Education and Teacher Training (STKIP). This study aims to identify the values of local wisdom and the creative endeavors of students to find entrepreneurship learning models on campus. This research uses depth-interview method and non-participation observation. To obtain the validity of the data triangulation was carried out with three creative business entrepreneur of student who were informant in this study. The results of this study are the reconstruction of entrepreneurial learning models based on local wisdom. In addition, intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship managerial behavior influenced by environmental factors. This research is useful for creating entrepreneurship learning models among student and can be used as a guide in entrepreneurship development.

Abstract

In the study, an attempt has been made to investigate academic self-efficacy and academic performance of undergraduate students in relation to gender and streams of education. The subjects of the study consisted of 120 undergraduate boys and girls enrolled in the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams of education. Primary data were collected using an academic self-efficacy scale. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between the student’s academic self-efficacy and academic performance. The results also indicated a significant influence of academic self-efficacy on the academic achievement of students. Further, the results revealed that undergraduate students of the science stream were having high academic self-efficacy were having significantly higher academic performance as compared to others. The results of the study were discussed.

Abstract

The development of the education system in Indonesia a teacher is required to be able to develop insight and creativity. As a teacher facilitator must be able to be creative and have various strategies that can be used in the learning process in the classroom. Teaching strategies are a way for students to master the subject matter to the fullest. But the reality in the field is not as smooth as planned. In fact, many students cannot master the subject matter, especially Biology subjects, there are still many children whose grades are under the KKM (KKM 80).The purpose of conducting classroom action research using this animation media is to improve the mastery of the material of cell division. The procedure for class action research used refers to the methodology of action research, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation and evaluation, (4) reflection, carried out in 2 cycles. Media animation is a means of delivering material using technological advances so that it can be more fun. The results of cycle 1 show that student learning outcomes in making questions and their solutions are 84.62%, and the results of the exercise in cycle 2 students' skills reach 92.86%. While the average test result of cycle 1 is 67.00 and the average test result of cycle 2 is 86.00. This shows an increase in student learning outcomes. From this class action research, it can be concluded that the animation media can improve the learning outcomes of mitosis and meiosis cell division for students of class IX D  of SMPN 3 Surabaya Odd Semester 2018-2019 Academic Year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and discipline on employee performance at CV. Wina Cahaya Purnama, Pamulang, South Tangerang. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a total sample population of 53 respondents. Methods of data collection by using a questionnaire. The analysis used includes: validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, correlation coefficient test, coefficient of determination test, t-test and F-test. Based on the results of the study obtained multiple linear regression equation Y = 7.097 + 0.245 X1 + 0.592 X2. With a coefficient of determination of 0.655, it means that both variables have an effect on employee performance. Hypothesis testing shows that partially or simultaneously leadership and discipline affect the performance of CV employees. Wina Cahaya Purnama, Pamulang, South Tangerang.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the success of the Sulaman Bayangan crafts activities in Nagari Barung-Barung Balantai, this was allegedly because the craftsmen had a creative personality. This study aims to see the picture of the creativity of Sulaman Bayangan crafts in Nagari Barung-Barung Balantai viewed from the aspect of having curiosity, confidence, and risk-taking. This type of study is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study were Sulaman Bayangan crafts totaling 70 people. The sampling method is proportionate stratified random sampling, the sample taken is 35 people. The technique of collecting data uses a questionnaire. While the data collection tool is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula. The results showed that (1) the level of craftsman creativity in the aspect of having curiosity was said to be high, (2) the level of craftsman creativity in the aspect of trust was said to be high, (3) the level of creativity the craftsmen in the aspect of taking risks was said to be high.

Abstract

The objectives of the research was to study the effect of power and interpersonal communication  on the innovation of the primary teachers in BPK PENABUR Jakarta. This research uses a quantitative approach. The research was conducted by survey method with path analysis used in hypothesis testing. The samples of this research were 159 teachers of primary school as a repondents who were selected through simple random sampling. This research uses survey methods with path analysis methods. The process of collecting the data in SDK PENABUR in DKI Jakarta carried out by using a questionnaire. The data obtained are then analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study: (1) there is a positive direct effect of power on innovation (2) there is a positive direct effect of interpersonal communication on innovation (3) there is a positive direct influence of power on interpersonal communication

Abstract

The educational methodologies that might be used to manage education and in-service training among secondary school teachers in southwest Nigeria were mentioned in the paper. The degree of in-service training and academic qualifications of secondary school teachers in Southwest Nigeria were investigated, as well as male and female teachers' impressions of in-service training and re-training by the government. The study employed survey-style descriptive research. In southwest Nigeria, the population was made up entirely of teachers. The study's sample included 200 teachers who were chosen using a multistage sampling approach that included both simple random sampling and stratified random sampling techniques. The study found that secondary school teachers in southwest Nigeria have a low level of in-service training and a high level of academic qualifications and that there is no significant difference in perceptions of in-service training and academic qualifications between male and female secondary school teachers in southwest Nigeria. It was suggested that the government step up their efforts to organize in-service training for secondary school teachers, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops, in order to impart the necessary knowledge to students in order to achieve sustainable development goals. Additionally, necessary types of machinery should be put in place to improve the performance of the ministry of education and local education authorities in order to upgrade teachers and enhance their performance. In conclusion, there is a lack of teacher training and retraining in southwest Nigeria, as well as a high level of academic qualifications among secondary school teachers.

Abstract

Students who exhibit hyperactive behavior can be at high risk such as failing at school, experiencing serious social problems, including difficulty getting along as well as conflict with family members, being hated by siblings, often scolded and punished by caregivers. All of these factors can have an impact on students' social lives and influence the emergence of chaos in student attitudes and behavior. Indicators of student hyperactivity include: 1) difficulty focusing, 2) often not doing assignments, 3) unable to sit quietly, 4) often flicking friends, 5) impulsive, 6) often monopolizing activities in social interaction. The impact of students' hyperactive behavior is: 1) decreased learning achievement, 2) lack of harmony in social relations with peers. Hyperactive behavior is influenced by the pattern of parental care that is authoritarian and unattended. This research aims to improve the behavior of hyperactive students in teaching and learning activities in SMP Negeri 3 Surabaya with the method of self-counseling. The type of research used is qualitative research in the form of case studies of students who behave hyperactively. The techniques used in collecting data are interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. The data obtained were analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that hyperactive student behavior can be improved by using the self-counseling method in teaching and learning activities. This is indicated by an increase in the activity of students in the first cycle of students who are active at 85.71% and in cycle 2 by 100%. from the initial value (62%) then cycle 1 (75%) and cycle 2 (85%). The action of the first cycle grade average value increased to 79.18 (completeness 52.6%), in the second cycle increased again to 87.87 (completeness 86.8%).

Abstract

In developing countries and Nigeria in particular more and more educated people are wallowing in poverty due to diminishing standards of living. Despite the launch and re-launch of the universal Basic Education scheme by successive government in Nigeria since 1999, inequalities relatively to standards of living chances have remained little altered. This study makes use of annual time series data sourced from the world bank development index (WDI) covering the period of 1981 to 2017. Jarque-Bera Normality test, Unit root test, test for multicorrelation, cointegration test were used for the pre-test while the Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS) approach was used for the estimation. The result shows that educational attainment (=0.029, t = 7.986, p 0.05) and formal education complementary skills ( = 0.00001, t = 3.752, p 0.05) exert a significant positive effect on household standard of living in Nigeria. Income redistribution ( =-0.019, t = -2.112, p 0.05) does not show any effect on household standard of living in Nigeria. The study submitted that educational attainment and formal education complementary skills contribute positively to household standard of living. The need to create job for secondary school leavers some of whom may not be interested in further education to enhance the secondary school return to education was recommended.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high rate of early marriage, drug abuse, and HIV/AIDS in West Sumatera in adolescents aged 10-24 years. This is allegedly due to the lack of attention of parents to adolescents of 12 years of compulsory education, parents' lack of attention to adolescence and lack of moral education to adolescents. This study aims to (1) Describe genre program planning, (2) Describe the success of genre programs, (3) relationship planning with success. This type of research is descriptive correlational with the population being PIK R adolescents in the GenRe program in the  National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) West Sumatera Province, amounting to 50 people. Samples were taken 10% of the population of 500 people. Sampling technique uses system random sampling. The data collection techniques are using questionnaires, and questionnaires as data collection tools. While the data analysis techniques in this study are using the percentage formula, and to see the relationship between them using Product Moment. The results of the study stated that (1) the implementation of the planning used by the ambassadors in the GenRe program in the West Sumatera provincial BKKBN was good enough, according to the teenagers' needs and strategies. (2) the success seen from the understanding, knowledge, and behavior of adolescent members of the PIK R on the GenRe program in the West Sumatra provincial BKKBN in daily life is quite good. (3) There is a significant relationship between the planning and success of the GenRe program in the BKKBN of West Sumatera province.
