Abstract

The mentoring and training activities for junior high school teachers in the innovation of the Caring Community-based PBL learning model go through three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. At the planning stage, the process of identifying problems, making work plans (work plans), and classifying teaching practice tasks is carried out. There are 5 groups with the same target material. At the implementation stage, it consists of two stages; 1) training on caring community learning models with a student centered approach which includes group model class management techniques, learning media design. 2) mentoring the learning practices of junior high school teachers in the classroom based on the ability level group, group L, and group M. Evaluation activities are carried out at the end of the activity to make improvements to mistakes, teacher weaknesses in the process of implementing the learning model.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on all areas of life, including education. The education system, which was originally face-to-face, had to be replaced with online learning. Various problems arise related to the implementation of the Distance Learning or PJJ system. This system makes parents have to participate more in supervising as well as being a substitute for teachers at home in the learning process of their children. In addition, homeschooling also raises problems where students find it difficult to understand the material given by the teacher. The decrease in enthusiasm for learning becomes a problem when the PJJ system seems monotonous and boring. To support the government's program in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 without reducing the effectiveness of online learning implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture, this activity was carried out. This activity is expected to help reduce the anxiety of parents who are afraid that their children are not serious and have difficulty in learning. In addition, it is hoped that this activity will help participants to easily understand the material that has not been mastered. The methods of socialization, demonstration, and mentoring are carried out directly. The success of this activity can be seen from the assistance of the participants in solving the problems faced and the enthusiasm of the participants during the activity.

Abstract

Parenting education activities are carried out with the theme of realizing an active and fun study from home, as a mentoring activity for teachers and parents of children. Complaints of parents when accompanying their children to study at home, became the main basis for carrying out these parenting activities. Many parents feel overwhelmed to build children's enthusiasm in learning and completing the tasks given by the teacher. This condition bring out the initiative to provide assistance to teachers in providing parenting education activity material to children's parents and also directly provide material about the study from home method in parenting education activities carried out at RA Al Hidayah Kapongan Situbondo, so that even though learning activities were carried out at home , the children are still enthusiastic to do it actively and fun. The most important thing in this mentoring activity is to bring back the essence of parents/mothers as madrasas for their children, so that parents can hone, love, and nurture their children well. In the end, a nation will be born as khaira ummah who is anfauhum linnas.

Abstract

Community empowerment is one of the important activities that needs to be carried out to empower, especially mosque-based community empowerment. The community service method used is mosque-based management, which aims to find out mosque-based community empowerment for social and educational services at the Great Mosque of Bangil by conducting previous observations and collecting data and interviews with parties involved in community empowerment at the Great Mosque Bangil. And the results of the research got are that community empowerment at the Great Bangil Mosque can foster and educate the community and children through mosque committee programs developed through the social and educational fields.

Abstract

Based on the results of the plenary Session of the Situbondo Regional People's Representative Council, it is necessary to revise the Situbondo Regional People's Representative Council Regulation Number 01 of 2018 concerning the order of the Situbondo Regional People's Representative Council Regulations. Therefore, a Draft Regulation is prepared to be facilitated by the East Java Governor. There are several important points that became notes for the post-facilitation facilitation of the Governor of East Java to be included in the material for the rules. The purpose of this service is to direct the preparation of regulations in accordance with the hierarchical rules of legislation. This outreach program used the juridical – normative method through the approach of legislation. The results of this outreach program are in the form of a draft regulation for the Situbondo Regional People's Representative Council.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the process and results of community service activities that seek to improve the knowledge and skills of IAIQ (Institute of Islamic Religion and Quran) al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya students in processing statistical data with R software. The service activity was carried out for two days. The first day adopted the tutorial lecture method, which included discussion, questions, and answers. While the second day focused on a data processing practicum with R, The results of the pre-test showed that the average knowledge of the target group on statistical data processing with R was only 10.41 points. After the training, the average score of the participants increased to 21.85 points. This service activity was statistically proven to increase the knowledge and skills of the participants; t (40) = 15.2719, p 0.001. The existence of this community is expected to become an arena for learning and sharing information about R. In addition, Sriwijaya University needs to continue financing the introduction of R software to the younger generation in the Ogan Ilir District, especially among students. Because mastering R is a form of digital competence for the younger generation of Indonesia who will work in the Revolution 5.0 era.

Abstract

As a basic science from various fields, Mathematics is important to learn because it is also the basis for the development of science and technology. The existence of educational developments requires students to adapt to changes. The COVID-19 outbreak requires the learning process to be carried out online (in a network). However, in learning, optimization of learning must still be done which in this case must create a spirit of student learning by providing meaningful learning. This empowerment program is based on the limited conditions during the Pandemic which was carried out by providing tutoring, especially in mathematics. This learning mentoring program is carried out in a targeted manner through online and offline learning methods for SMP - MTs and SD - MI students in Karanganyar Village, Pekalongan Regency with a total of 67 students participating in the mentoring. The final result of this program is an overview of the differences between online and offline math tutoring. Optimization of mathematics learning is more visible in offline learning. This can be seen from the enthusiasm and motivation given to make students able to follow the lesson well so that the material is easy to understand. However, the end result of this program is that students are able to optimize learning, understand, and master mathematics better.

Abstract

Becoming an entrepreneur was not everyone's interest but the majority of people were interested in getting rich and the fastest way to get rich was becoming an entrepreneur. This was the reason for holding this mentoring program. Generally, the orphanage children had a pessimistic spirit in realizing their dreams so that sometimes it was difficult to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit because every day their lives were supported by other parties. Therefore, in the form of entrepreneurship assistance, it seeks to foster an entrepreneurial spirit for the orphanage children through the manufacture of flip-flops as a means of triggering in starting to become entrepreneurs. .This empowerment method used Asset Based Community-driven Development (ABCD) with a target of 25 children from the Pamekasan Muhammadiyah Orphanage. From this mentoring program, a flip-flops making orphanage was formed and a production marketing community was formed to support the independence of the orphanage.

Abstract

Children's dental health is an important part of body health to support child growth and development. The good dental health of children will support the process of chewing food, communication and encourage children to be confident in socializing. Children's teeth are at risk of decay compared to adult teeth because of the clinical condition of children's teeth and the behavior of children who are not yet independent. Therefore, parents must be involved in preventive efforts for children's dental health. The community service method uses active participating targets, the targets in this activity are parents and grade 1 students of Teladan Al Hidayah Islamic Elementary School, East Cilandak, the implementation period of the activity is from July to August 2021, the form of activities carried out are counseling and mentoring. The results of the activity showed that the extension activities were carried out well, the participants listened carefully and enthusiastically. Then, the mentoring activities took place well, intensively, and in an orderly manner carried out in small groups so that each participant was able to practice the preventive efforts that had been trained.

Abstract

Seaweed has the potential to be developed as a food product with high nutritional and economic value. Nori is red seaweed (Porphyra algae) that is mashed until the liquid inside comes out then it is flattened and dried in direct sunlight to dry. Nori has nutritional components that have been studied for health benefits, including 45.2% protein, 40% fiber, 47.31% carbohydrates, 4.99% ash, 0.44% fat, and 13.14% water. It also contains 10 types of amino acids, such as threonine, arginine, tyrosine, methionine, lysine, valine, glutamic acid, glycine, phenylalanine, and alanine which can play a role in optimizing protein needs and increasing community growth, especially growth in early childhood as shoots. nation to improve human resources. The activity of providing supplementary food (PMT) based on nori is carried out on group A kindergarten students Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 1 Asembagus was chosen as a community service activity to realize increased nutrition in early childhood through healthy food sources of marine protein. The method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR) where direct assistance is carried out through active participation in schools. The results of the activity showed that the class A students were able to understand the information conveyed about the activity and had a very good acceptance of the additional food provided.
