Akar kuning merupakan salah satu tumbuhan obat asli Kalimantan yang terdiri dari sedikitnya tiga spesies yaitu Fibraurea tinctoria Lour., Arcangelisia flava Merr. dan Coscinium fenestratum (Gaertn.) Colebr. Bagian batang dan akar dari tumbuhan ini dimanfaatkan secara tradisional oleh etnis asli Kalimantan seperti Dayak dan Banjar serta Kutai untuk mengobati beberapa penyakit seperti malaria, hepatitis/liver dan kencing manis. Khasiat tersebut didukung oleh berbagai penelitian yang menyebutkan akar kuning mengandung senyawa kimia yang berperan sebagai hepatoprotektor, antibakteri, anti malaria dan anti kanker. Jenis Coscinium fenestratum memiliki nilai komersial tinggi di India dan Srilangka sebagai bahan baku industri obat modern. Perdagangannya di negara tersebut telah diatur sangat ketat karena berimbas pada kelangkaan jenis tersebut akibat eksploitasi besar-besaran. Meskipun akar kuning memiliki potensi besar sebagai bahan baku industri obat modern, namun saat ini informasi perdagangan akar kuning di Indonesia masih sangat terbatas. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan informasi perdagangan akar kuning di sejumlah pasar tradisional di Kalimantan Selatan. Informasi dasar ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pertimbangan dalam menentukan strategi pengembangan dan pemanfaatan akar kuning sebagai komoditas Hasil Hutan Bukan Kayu (HHBK). Berdasarkan pengumpulan data di lapangan, kebutuhan akar kuning untuk industri jamu tradisional di Kalimantan Selatan masih relatif sedikit. Ketersediaan akar kuning masih memadai dan belum terjadi eksploitasi besar-besaran di alam untuk pasokan akar kuning di wilayah Kalimantan Selatan. Guava leaves have been used as antidiarrhea, antioxidant, aniinflamation, and antimicrobial. The results of its preliminary phytochemical analysis showed the presence of tannins, flavonoids, steroids and saponins. This leaves also contain essential oil such as sineol. Utilization of guava leaves as a mouthwash preparation is an alternative to replace the mouthwash preparations which generally contain antiseptic form of alcohol that can lead to oral cancer. This experiment formulated the extract of guava leaves into mouthwash that fulfill the physical requirements and determine the differences of antimicrobial activity against the growth of Streptococcus mutans with concentration of extract : 2,5 %; 3% and 3,5 %. Antibacterial acivity test was using MHA media with agar diffusion method. Physical requirement test included organoleptic, pH and viscosity test. The result showed that the mouthwash preparation of guava leaves extract has a pH value outside the range of the optimum growth of bacteria (pH=5). The viscosity of the mouthwash was 1,328-1,347 cP. The antibacterial activity of Streptococcus mutans on F1 has inhibition zone of 3,15 mm, F2 (3,83 mm) and F3 (4,32 mm). It was concluded that the extract of guava leaves on concentrations of 2,5%; 3% and 3,5% can be formulated as mouthwashes. The mouthwash fulfilled the physical requirement test such as pH, viscosity and organoleptic test and can inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek serta dosis efektif ekstrak daun sukun dalam menurunkan kadar glukosa darah, kolesterol total dan gambaran histopatologi pangkreas pada hewan uji tikus putih jantan model hiperkolesterolemia-diabetes yang diinduksi pakan tinggi lemak dan streptozotocin. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan 35 ekor hewan uji yang dikelompokkan dalam 7 kelompok dengan perlakuan yaitu kelompok kontrol normal, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif metformin, kelompok positif sinvastatindan 3 kelompok uji dengan variasi dosis ekstrak masing-masing 100 mg/KgBB, 200 mg/KgBB, dan 400 mg/KgBB. Pengukuran kadar glukosa darah dan kadar olesterol dilakukan pada hari ke 0, 35, 42, dan 49 setelah diberi perlakuan. Data kadar glukosa darah dan kolesterol total yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji one way ANOVA pada taraf kepercayaan 95% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Post Hoc LSD, dan data hasil skoring tingkat kerusakan pankreas dianalisis dengan uji Kruskal-Wallis dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann-Whitney untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat senyawa metabolit sekunder pada ekstrak etanol sukun, ekstrak daun sukun dengan dosis efektif 200 mg/kgBB memiliki efek terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan kadar kolesterol total, dosis 400 mg/kgBB regenerasi jaringan pankreas tikus.

Povidone iodine is an antiseptic that is often used for wounds after tooth extraction, but is often debated because it can cause damage to cells and tissues. African leaf (Vernonia amygdalina Del.) from the family Asteraceae has saponins as anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant flavonoids as that all may be able to accelerate wound healing. To investigate the activity of extracts of Vernonia amygdalina folia (VAF) to accelerate the process of wound healing after tooth extraction in rats. VAF extracted by maceration using methanol. Wistar male rats as much as 6 groups (n = 5 mice each group) performed tooth extractions, and then observed the reduction of gingival socket closure for 21 days after being given povidone iodine, distilled water and methanol extract group VAF by 4 concentration. The closure of the wound after tooth extraction in the group of povidone iodine rats occurred on the 8th day, the group aquadest cover the wound occurred on the 12th day, the extract group 1, 3, 5, 7% sequentially occur wound closure on day 6th, 5th, 4th and 4th. Inflammation is a normal process in the human body as a response to injury from the healing process. Meanwhile, chronic inflammation will cause new health problems to patients. Anti-inflammatory agents generally used for those conditions, have several side effects to patients. The objective of this research was to find alternative anti-inflammatory agents, especially from natural sources. Vernonia amygdalina Delile knew locally as â€œDaun Bismillahâ€ belong to family Apiaceae is one of those potential natural sources for alternative anti-inflammatory agents. This plant is known as traditional medicine and used as material in this research. The experimental method of in vitro anti-inflammatory measurement using membrane stabilization activity for ethanol extracts of V. amygdalina leaves. The results showed that significant differences of EC50 (p<0.05) were achieved between indomethacin as the positive control with V. amygdalina leaves extracts for concentration 1% and 10%. EC50 of leaves ethanol extract of V. amygdalina showed the potential anti-inflammatory activities. It could be concluded that V. amygdalina leaves ethanol extracts to have anti-inflammatory activities, which could be further developed as a new natural source of the anti-inflammatory agents.

Green spinach( Amaranthus hybridus) was utilized as complement of food as vegetable as spinach is cooked through instillation process with stewed (clear spinach vegetable) and slicing (spinach vegetable). Besides contains a lot of nutrient, spinach also contain substance anti nutrient which is oxalate what do get to precipate calcium and forms calcium oxalate that can't be absorbed by body, so formed by causative dissolvable salt sediment its appearance calculus disease. After been done research to spinach vegetable of trick second upon with at poaching was gotten by content oxalate as big as 0,108 g (without condiment) and 0,112 g (with condiment) with optimum time 3 minutes. On brew with slicing oxalate content 0,112 g (without condiment) and 0,125 g (with condiment) with maximum time 5 minutes. Measurement oxalate content utilizes UV Vis's Spectrophotometer method on wavelength 345 nm. Oxalat's rate in green spinach lies under letal dose is contemned according to BADAN POM RI 2012 (6 - 8 g).

The Research about heavy metal that is contained in Medicine herbs has been. The soursop leaves and beluntas leaves has been analyzed metal content by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The Results show that the concentration of Pb is 0392 ppm in soursop leaves and 0,026 ppm in beluntas leaves. The concentrations of Cd metal is 0,0263 in soursop leaves and 0.0523 ppm in beluntas leaves. it can be concluded that heavy metals Pb and Cd in some medicin herbs do not exceed the maximum limit of the Pb <10 ppm Cd <0.30 ppm.

Pregnancy is a natural and physiological process. Any woman who has a healthy reproductive organs, Any woman who is pregnant will definitely experience Hyperemesis gravidarum mild, moderate or fallow. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship Attitudes Against Hyperemesis gravidarum Pregnancy Rate Medium In Space cassowary RSU Anutapura Palu. The research in this study is a correlational study with descriptive analysis with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all women with hyperemesis gravidarum in the room cassowary RSU Anutapura hammer, totaling 45 mothers with hyperemesis gravidarum. In this study using the analysis of univariate and bivariate significance invitation 0005 with 95% confidence level continued to Chi Square test and simple regression which is used to examine the relationship maternal attitude towards Hyperemesis gravidarum moderate In Space cassowary RSU Anutapura Palu. And how much influence the attitude of Pregnant Women Against Hyperemesis Gravidarum Medium Level. Of the 31 respondents based test using bivariate analysis showed signivikansi value 0.000 <0.05 which means there signivikan correlation between the two variables and chi square test with 31 respondents diproleh signivikansinya value of 0.00 <0.05, which means that the statistics there is a relationship between attitudes towards pregnant women with hyperemesis gravidarum moderate level, followed by a simple regression obtained F value hitung48,809 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, which means it has the effect of maternal attitudes towards hyperemesis grafidarum. In the results of the analysis show that there is a relationship attitude towards Hyperemesis gravidarum pregnant women being perceived level of pregnant mothers In Space cassowary RSU Anutapura Palu influence the level of 12.033%

Kanker organ reproduksi termasuk jenis kanker yang banyak terjadi pada wanita, salah satunya yaitu kanker serviks yang disebabkan oleh infeksi Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) dan salah satu cara pengobatan kanker yang digunakan adalah pengobatan kemoterapi secara injeksi intravena melalui pembuluh darah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien kanker serviks, pola pengobatan kemoterapi pasien kanker serviks, dan dosis kemoterapi yang digunakan pasien kanker serviks. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan metode retrospektif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mencatat rekam medik pasien (responden) dengan jumlah total sebanyak 22 responden yang memiliki karakteristik yaitu berdasarkan usia terbanyak adalah usia 31-40 tahun sebesar 50%, berdasarkan hubungan antara usia pertama kali menikah dengan jumlah pernikahan terbanyak adalah usia 15-20 tahun dan menikah sekali sebesar 64%, dan berdasarkan metastase terbanyak adalah metastase IIIB sebesar 42%. Adapun pola pengobatan kemoterapi berdasarkan pemilihan jenis dan golongan obat kemoterapi terbanyak adalah kombinasi obat kemoterapi karboplatin-paxus sebesar 86% dan berdasarkan efek samping obat kemoterapi terbanyak adalah efek samping obat mual muntah sebesar 50%. Dosis pengobatan kemoterapi sesuai dengan hasil perhitungan dosis berdasarkan BSA (Body Surface Area) dan ClCr (Creatinine Clearance).
