Abstract

The purpose of this research is for identifying market segment and customer behavior toward Islamic Banking and its marketing implications in all regions of DKI Jakarta. The research was conducted on August – October 2008 in East, West, North, South and Central of Jakarta. The survey was conducted by doing face to face interview and questionaires distribution to 120 proportional responden. The analytical tools applied are analysis of cluster, factor & descriptive and using SPSS version 11.5 as the statistic’s tool. The result of this research for segmentation aspect showed the characteristics and size of each market segment of Islamic banks. The market segment consists of syariah loyalist, floating mass and conventional loyalist. From this research, floating mass segment has been showed that this segment is the most potential segment among others in DKI Jakarta regions due to it has the largest target market compared to syariah loyalist and conventional loyalist segments. However responden with Islam as their religion are still priority target market for Islamic banks since floating mass responden have been collected from Islamic’s responden dominantly with employees and entrepreneurs as the occupations.  Further, market segment will be analyzed in relation with customers’ category, region of geography, religion and occupation. In customer behavior side, customers preferences and information resources toward Islamic banks will be the important factors which could influence customers behavior when choosing Islamic banks. The four factors influence customers in choosing Islamic banks are  building physical’s appearance, ATM network, variety of products and profit rate. Both results of market segmentation and consumer behavior toward Islamic Banking are important factors for Islamic Banking in formulating marketing strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study where to analyze white oyster mushroom farming activity in Sub-Province of Bogor, to analyze financial feasibility of  white oyster mushroom farming activity for high and low land in Sub-Province of Bogor by NPV at Risk Method and to analyze the switching value for the changes of cost and benefit in  white oyster mushroom farming activity.  The data were collected from 6 farmer living in high and low land in Sub-Province of Bogor. The NPV at risk model and switching value analysis were used to analyze tha data.  The result of the study showed that white oyster mushroom farming activity for high and low land in Sub-Province of Bogor were feasible by financial that considered by investors in selecting the location to act the white oyster mushroom farming.  The risks like price risk, production risk in that activity have accomodated in to cash flow.  Accomodation for price risk was used the inflation rate and for production risk was used estimation for failure of crop in white oyster mushroom farming activity according the farmers in location.  Switching value was used for to analyze maximum changes in cost and benefit which were developing the cash flow.  The maximum changes describes that the changes admit of tolerated.  The result for switching value analysis showed that the decreasing of production of white oyster mushroom (fresh and baglog) more sensitive than the others (decreasing of fresh white oyster mushroom price and increasing of varible input cost).  This matter showed that production risk having an effect on white oyster mushroom farming activity than price risk.  According that situation, the farmer must be repaire the technology of  white oyster mushroom farming activity. The application of this model gives many outputs (NPV) and risks variabilities so that it can give  a much more attractive and variying recommendation especially for the investors to do the investment decision especiaaly for white oyster mushroom farming activity

Abstract

This research purposes are (1) to analyze communities perception about land certificate, (2) to analyze determinant factors of communities perception toward systematic land registration, (3) to analyze the impact of systematic land registration toward communities social economic conditions, and (4) to  formulate policy implication which can be improved from execution of systematic land registration and its impact to communities social economic conditions. This research used descriptive statistic and inferensia statistic method through survey approach. Primary data collected using structured interview with questionnaire guidelines from 100 respondent with purposive sampling from Curug Village and Sukatani Village in Cimanggis Subdistrict on Depok Regency. This research used range criteria, ordinal logistic regression, Mann-Whitney Test. The results of this research were: (1) communities perception about land certificates represent that certificate perceived very important for strongest evidence of land ownership, safety, easier sell, higher price. While, land certificate perceived important in credit collateral; (2) factors which significantly influencing communities perception toward systematic land registration were time, cost, and procedure of registering land ownership; (3) the impact of systematic land registration toward community social economics condition were land owner safety, land sell amenity, land price and land tax; (4) The systematic land registration is a  feasible project, but need  improvement in: giving high priority for area with productive agriculture and population with low income, project well planning, optimizing of counselling, prohibiting illegal fee with giving punishment and giving reward for countryside officer which have  the vital role

Abstract

The research was conducted to measure rural banks (BPR) efficiency level in Jabodetabek and also to identify factors that increase the efficiency level. The measurement was done using non parametric approach with Data Envelopment Analysis. The result indicated that rural banks in Jabodetabek area were in inefficient condition, 80% of rural banks observed were inefficient both in technical and scale. Measurement on several asset distribution showed rural banks had efficiency scale on certain business scale, rural banks with total asset between Rp.1 – Rp.10 billion had the highest efficiency scale and rural banks with total asset less than Rp.500 million had the lowest efficiency scale. Potential improvement analysis result with CCR and BCC models showed that other income was the most contributed output variable to increase 30% to 40 % of rural banks efficiency level. Meanwhile, measurement using BCC model showed that, from output side, current asset has contributed to increased rural banks efficiency level by raising revenue from current asset management up to 10% from average value in 2007. On input side, all input variable had the same potential improvement value which increased the efficiency level by reducing labor cost, fixed asset cost, and the cost of fund 17%-18% from average value in 2007.

Abstract

The current focus of this thesis is to determine, using the Stimulus-Organism-Response theory, (1) which type of user imagery (embodied imagery or static imagery) leads the consumer to greater hedonic and behavioral responses;  (2) whether usage imagery intensifies this relationship; and (3) what strategies are best to designer label ads communication effectiveness on fashion magazine. 40 female consumers of fashion magazine and designer label were recruited to participate voluntarily in the study. Methodologically, participants were required to answers a series of questions after being exposed a stimuli of pictures. Influence variables evaluated in the model included: Imagery responses (Quantity, Vividness, Ease); Emotion as mediator; Advertising liking; Purchase intention; and Individual Characteristics. Consist of two study, study 1 of this thesis served as a pre-test to build the experimental material. Whereas, study 2 served as an experimental study that addresses the current focus of this thesis. Analyzed with series of Manova, results indicated that when presented independently of usage imagery, embodied user imagery can enhance consumer’s hedonic impressions and affect purchase intention. Usage imagery however failed to prove any influences. When presented together, such combinations of brand imagery as embodied user imagery and usage imagery as well as static user imagery and usage imagery didn’t bring the consumer to greater hedonic impressions and purchase intention. The findings could be used to predict purchase intention of designer label’s product. Retailers and marketers of designer labels or interested researchers could use the model based on consumer attitude and behavioral intentions.

Abstract

The development of palm oil export from 2000 to 2006 showed the competitiveness position of Indonesia in the world mar ket was fairly good. In order to increase the growth and values of palm oil export, the experts thought that the role of government as regulators and facilitators are very important.  The government became the main actor for the export development throuh de/regulation related to the palm oil commodity.  The objectives of actors could be achieved by combining strategies (i) encrease capacity of Belawan and Dumai harbours, (ii) reduction/elimination of loan repayment during grace period of revitalization program, (iii)  human resource develeopment for both societies and workers with participative funding from Central Government, Local Government, and enterprises, (iv) reduced cost and time in processing land sertification and Hak Guna Usaha (HGU), (v) improved access for farmers to financial institution (bank), (vi) the establishment of harbours in regions based on palm oil production in the region, and (viii) the development of farm roads.

Abstract

The best apllying practice of performance management can lead to increase business competitiveness. The objective of this study was to describe of how performance measurement systems that has been conducted at PG Subang West Java to achive success areas of sugarcane factory. The systems was built to adopt from integrated dynamic performance systems (IDPMS) model. The models integrates of four functional areas : corporate management, plant management, shop floor, and process improvement teams (bina sarana tani and lab. QC). Each fungsional areas were linked through the specification, reporting, and dynamic updating of the defined areas of success, performance measure, and performance standard. Understanding  interrelationships of performance measurements provides the foundation for more focused improvement efforts

Abstract

Analysis of the parameters used in the model skoring E-Flow, which has 14 parameters, namely the interest rate, the amount of insurance, age / age, type of work, penghasilkan per month, the average balance, savings in the bank, the percentage of money face, the type of collateral, documents of ownership, broad building, Burden debt ratio, bad debts in the information and the position of BI / debtor position. In addition to design a credit scoring model application, a skoring system will have a very full prepayment behavior scoring and scoring. Accordingly at this time until a new stage in the application of determining the credit scoring model, to further research can be done model behavior prepayment scoring and scoring on the credit facility.

Abstract

PT Lion Metal Works is a company producing office equipment, racking system, building material, security and fireproof safe, and cold forming. The production activity has high dependence on the usage of diesel, which influences the quality of the product and the cost of total business. The price fluctuation is one of the reasons for the company to convert the usage of diesel to some energy alternatives. Gas is the best alternative to replace diesel due to some advantages such as price, installation cost, distribution issue, calorie level, and environmental issue. There are some resistances from internal organization emerge in the implementation of the conversion. The alternatives strategy has been explored to reduce the resistances considering the goal of the organization, the actors (department in the company), and the type of resistance using analytical hierarchy process method. The priority strategy is establishing a new division for handling the conversion program and installing the gas facility gradually.

Abstract

The result of the study showed that respondent had difference perception about Bank XYZ  Housing loan (KPR) product  and other bank. There are eleven attributes as respondent factors in choosing Housing loan (KPR) product  applied in this research, the attributes are interest rate, term and conditions loan, down payment, fees and chargers, credit process, product information, services from account officer, sales fee (commision), event of gathering and bank location. According to perception of respondent there are five excellences of mortgage product Bank XYZ, that is having term loan that is sufficiently long, down payment which is light, credit  process that is quickly, event of gathering which is good enough and good location. Bank XYZ need strategy to increase Housing loan product, such as increase sales fee or reward to sales developer by giving special program and interesting reward, gives service marketing satisfying, competing interest rate, Meanwhile the management has to maintains good enough have been credit process and more improved again, because according to perception of respondent a real important attributes are sales fee for sales developer, interest rate and credit process. That attributes also becomes main preference according to respondent perception.
