Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve activities and mathematics learning outcomes using the Realistic Mathematics Educations (RME) learning model. The research was conducted in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, reflection stages. While the learning approach in this study uses the Realistic Mathematics Educations (RME) learning model. The criteria for the success of this action research, the writer determines as follows: Students are declared successful in the learning that researchers do if: (1) The test score reaches ≥ 75 (KKM = 75), (2) The affective value of the observations on the learning process reaches ≥ 13. From the results of the study, it is illustrated that students get a written test score of ≥ 75 in cycle I as many as 19 students (59.38%), cycle II as many as 27 students (84.38%) and cycle III as many as 30 students (93.75%). From the observation results, it was found that there was an increase in student activity in learning, namely in the first cycle, 12 students (37.50%) who were active and very active, 21 students (65.63%) in cycle II and 25 students (78.13%) in the third cycle. ). Thus learning the curved side of the building material with the application of the Realistic Mathematics Educations (RME) learning model can improve learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan by increasing learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle III, the results are significantly increased, in other words, children with learning difficulties. decreases, whereas from the results of observations obtained by increased activity, students are actively involved in the learning process and are able to spur students to learn to construct their own subject matter being studied and when experiencing difficulties students are assisted by their group friends who first understand the material being studied and if in a group no one can solve the difficulties faced directly ask the teacher.Keywords: Build curved side spaces, Realistics Mathematic Education (RME)AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktifitas dan hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Educations( RME). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri atas tahap Perencanaan, Tindakan, Pengamatan, Refleksi. Sedangkan pendekatan pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Educations (RME). Kriteria keberhasilan penelitian tindakan ini penulis tentukan sebagai berikut: Siswa dinyatakan berhasil dalam pembelajaran yang peneliti lakukan jika: (1) Nilai hasil test mencapai ≥ 75  (KKM=75), (2) Nilai afektif dari hasil observasi terhadap proses pembelajaran mencapai ≥ 13.Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh gambaran, siswa memperoleh  nilai hasil tes tulis ≥ 75 pada siklus I sebanyak 19 siswa (59,38%), siklus II sebanyak27 siswa (84,38%) dan siklus III sebanyak 30 siswa (93,75%). Dari hasil observasi diperoleh gambaran adanya peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran yaitu pada siklus I, siswa yang aktif dan sangat aktifsebanyak 12 siswa (37.50%), siklus II sebanyak21 siswa (65,63%) dan siklus III sebanyak 25 siswa (78,13%). Dengan demikian pembelajaran materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Educations (RME) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar dari siklus I sampai dengan siklus III hasilnya meningkat secara signifikan dengan kata lain anak yang mengalami kesulitan belajar berkurang, sedangkan dari hasil observasi yang diperoleh peningkatan aktivitas, siswa terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran serta mampu memacu siswa untuk belajar mengkonstruksi sendiri materi pelajaran yang sedang dipelajari dan bila mengalami kesulitan siswa dibantu teman sekelompoknya yang terlebih dahulu memahami materi yang dipelajari dan bila dalam suatu kelompok tidak ada yang bisa menyelesaikan kesulitan yang dihadapi langsung bertanya pada guru.Kata kunci: Bangun ruang sisi lengkung, Realistics Mathematic Education (RME)

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the description of students' geometric abilities at level 1 and level 2 and the profile of abilities and characteristics of each level 1 and 2 based on van Hiele's theory. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population of this research is class VIII SMP N 2 Tarakan. The selection of the research sample was carried out by giving the Van Hiele geometric thinking test level 1 and level 2 to 26 students. Sample selection by random sampling of 1 class. The test used in this research is the Van Hiele geometric thinking test. Each level consists of 10 multiple choice questions using 5 answer choices. For each will be given a score of 1 if correct and given 0 if wrong. Students are declared to have reached a level if they answered correctly at least 6 questions out of 10 items for each level. The data analysis technique in this study is to describe the data to find out how many students have been able to reach each level based on the Van Hiele theory. level 2. Profile at level 1 ability students are familiar with geometric shapes visually. While at level 2 students can identify geometric shapes based on their properties.Keywords: geometry, van hiele, level 1, level 2AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripasi tentang kemampuan geometri siswa pada level 1 dan level 2 dan profil kemampuan serta karaktersitik dari setiap level 1 dan 2 berdasarkan teori van Hiele.  Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP N 2 Tarakan. Pemilihan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan pemberian tes berpikir geometri Van Hiele level 1 dan level 2 kepada 26 siswa. Pemilihan sampel dengan random sampling terhadap 1 kelas. Tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berpikir geometri Van Hiele. Masing-masing level terdiri dari 10 soal pilihan ganda menggunakan 5 pilihan jawaban. Untuk setiap akan diberikan skor 1 jika benar dan diberikan 0 jika salah. Siswa dinyatakan mencapai suatu level jika menjawab benar minimal 6 soal dari 10 butir soal tiap levelnya. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan deskripsi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian berdasarkan data deskripsi menunjukkan bahwa siswa sudah mencapai 73,07% pada level 1 dan 46,15% pada level 2. Profil pada kemampuan level 1 siswa sudah mengenal bangun-bangun geometri secara visual. Sedangkan pada level 2 siswa dapat mengidentifikasi bangun-bangun geometri berdasarkan sifat-sifatnya.Kata kunci: geometri, van hiele, level 1, level 2

Abstract

This research type was research and development which is conducted at SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan at VII class in Academic Year 2018/2019. The objective  of this research was to develop the  pocket book based on local wisdom as a learning source on number material that was suitable and practical for the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan.The development model used was ADDIE model modification. The ADDIE model consists of five stages that were consisted of: Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. However, because of limitation time and limitation of the research objectives, so the researcher modified the ADDIE model modification by limiting the stage only in development stage. The product testing stage through two stages those were expert assessment and user response. In expert assessment was validated by the material experts, display experts and linguists. In the small group trials was carried out by 2 mathematics teachers and 6 students. On the field trial carried out by 26 students.The result of analysis shows that the product of pocket book based on local wisdom was developed based on validation by the material experts got a very suitable category with the percentage of 85.71%, display experts got a very suitable category with the percentage of 86.25% and linguists got a very suitable category with the percentage of 85 %. Whereas based on the result in the field by the responses of student users got the percentage of 83.5% with a very practical category. Because the pocket book already fulfilled the suitable and practical requirements which consisting of aspects of the content or material feasibility, display feasibility, language feasibility, and practicality of user responses, so  pocket book based on local wisdom can be used as a learning source on number material that suitable and practical for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan

Abstract

AbstractThis research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi experimental), which aims to see whether or not there is an influence of the application of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model to the ability to understand mathematical concepts of Grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Tarakan. Descriptive analysis results with an average achievement of the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in the experimental class is 79.7414 and 60.2778 in the control class. The highest value obtained by students in the experimental class was 97.50 and the lowest value was 52.50 while in the control class the highest value was 82.50 and the lowest value was 45.00. For the average achievement of all indicators of students' understanding of mathematical concepts for the experimental class is higher than in the control class. So, the application of Reciprocal Teaching learning model can be said to affect the ability of understanding the mathematical concepts of eighth grade students of SMPN 4 Tarakan. Keywords: Experiments, Reciprocal Teaching Learning Model, Ability to Understand Student Mathematical ConceptsAbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi esperimental), yang bertujuan untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Tarakan. Hasil analisis deskriptif dengan rata-rata pencapaian kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di kelas eksperimena dalah 79,7414 dan pada kelas kontrol 60,2778. Adapun nilai tertinggi yang diperoleh siswa di kelas eksperimen sebesar 97,50 dan nilai terendah sebesar 52,50 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol nilai tertinggi sebesar 82,50 dan nilai terendah sebesar 45,00. Untuk rata-rata pencapaian dari seluruh indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa untuk kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kelas kontrol. Jadi, penerapan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching dapat dikatakan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Tarakan.Kata Kunci: Ekperimen, Model Pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching, Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to clarify first to see the influence of the model (IOC and Conventional) on mathematics learning outcomes. Second, look at the influence of motivation (high and low) on students' mathematics learning outcomes. Third, look at the effect of interaction with the model (IOC and Conventional) and student motivation on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The activity was carried out at SMPN 5 Tarakan in the even semester of 2019-2020. The study used a quasi-experiment with 2x2 factorial. The population is class IX students of SMPN 5 Tarakan. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. Class IX-1 is the experimental class and class IX-7 is the control class. Data were collected using a description test and questionnaire questions for motivation to learn mathematics. Descriptive methods include the mean and standard deviation. Inference method by analyzing the variance of two factors. The analysis at the 5% significance level shows that the model (IOC and Conventional) has a p-value of 0.036, which means that it affects students' mathematics learning outcomes. Motivation to learn mathematics has an effect on student learning outcomes at a p-value of 0.000. And there was no effect of mutual interaction between the model and motivation on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class IX of SMPN 5 Tarakan with a p-value of 0.222.Keywords: Inside Outside Circle (IOC), Student’s Learning Achievement, Student’s Learning Motivation.AbstrakTujuan penelitian adalah memperjelas pertama melihat adanya pengaruh model (IOC dan Konvensional) terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Kedua, melihat adanya pengaruh motivasi (tinggi dan rendah) pada hasil belajar matematika siswa. Ketiga, melihat adanya pengaruh interaksi bersama model (IOC dan Konvensional) dan motivasi siswa pada hasil belajar matematika siswa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMPN 5 Tarakan pada semester genap 2019-2020. Penelitian menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan faktorial 2x2. Populasi adalah siswa kelas IX SMPN 5 Tarakan. Sampel diambil dengan cara simple random sampling. Kelas IX-1 adalah kelas eksperimen dan kelas IX-7 adalah kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes uraian dan pertanyaan angket untuk motivasi belajar matematika. Metode deskriptif meliputi mean dan standar deviasi. Metode inferensi dengan menganalisis varians dua faktor. Analisis pada taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa model (IOC dan Konvensional) memiliki p-value 0,036 yang artinya berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Motivasi belajar matematika berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada p-value 0,000. Dan tidak ditemukan adanya pengaruh interaksi bersama antara model dan motivasi pada hasil belajar matematika siswa di kelas IX SMPN 5 Tarakan dengan p-value 0,222.

Abstract

  Abstract The research objective is to develop mathematics learning media with Geogebra in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. This development uses the ADDIE model. The research was conducted at SMPN 4 Janapria with the research subjects of class VII taken randomly with a total of 25 students. The instruments used were validation sheets, practicality questionnaires from teachers and students, and learning outcomes tests. The results of the data analysis of the validity of the media obtained an actual total score of 183 and were categorized as very valid, the teacher and student response questionnaires, and the learning outcomes test were categorized as very valid and feasible to use. The quality of the practicality of the media developed met the practical criteria of teacher responses with a score of 38 and the percentage of student response scores of 88.45% ≥75%. The effectiveness criteria can be seen from the increase in student learning outcomes above the KKM (70) and the percentage of classical completeness ≥75%. The pre-test data on student learning outcomes obtained a percentage value of 39.66 increasing to 78.62 based on the post test and the average post-test data score of 78.62 above the KKM with classical completeness reaching 87.50%. Keywords: Mathematics Learning Media, Geogebra, Learning Outcomes Abstrak Tujuan penelitian mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika dengan Geogebra dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 4 Janapria dengan subjek penelitiannya kelas VII diambil secara acak sejumlah 25 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan lembar validasi, angket kepraktisan dari guru dan siswa, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil analisis data kevalidan media memperoleh skor total actual sebesar 183 dan berkategori sangat valid, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta tes hasil belajar berkategori sangat valid dan layak untuk digunakan. Kualitas kepraktisan media yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria praktis dari respon guru dengan skor 38 dan persentase skor respon siswa 88,45% ≥75%. Kriteria keefektifan terlihat dari meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa yang diatas KKM (70) dan persentase ketuntasan klasikal ≥75%. Data pre test hasil belajar siswa memperoleh persentase nilai 39,66 meningkat menjadi 78,62 berdasarkan post test dan nilai rata-rata data post test sebesar 78,62 diatas KKM dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 87,50%. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to produce the application of “Matbel Legenda” with computer based which was worthy as mathematics learning to grow the feeling of loving the homeland of VIII graders in SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan on Teorema Pythagoras materials. The type of this research was Research and Development (R D) which was conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan in class VIII. The development model used was ADDIE model. Overall, ADDIE model consists of 5 stages. The stages are started from Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The development stage was conducted by making the learning media “Matbel Legenda”, validated by the content expert, learning design expert, language and culture expert, media expert, and the testing was conducted in 2 stages with small group test which consisted  of 6 students as the subjects and field test which consisted of 28 students as the subjects.The analysis showed that the learning media “Matbel Legenda” which was developed based on the validation of content expert got average score of 3,5 with very good category, the learning design expert got average score of 3,4 with very good category, the language and culture expert got average score of 3,8 with very good category, and the media expert got average score of 3,4 with very good category.  Furthermore,  the  result  from  field  test  for  “Matbel  Legenda”  had fulfilled the requirements as a product that was easy to operate, easy to learn, and has attractive appearance. The “Matbel Legenda” learning media based on computer to grow the students’ feeling of loving the homeland has an analysis result as Normalized gain of 0,6 with medium category.  Because of that, the “Matbel Legenda” learning media was worthy to be used as additional learning media to grow the feeling of loving the homeland of VIII graders in SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan.

Abstract

AbstractThe use of media in mathematics learning can help students to learn more easily. One of them is educational game media. The study aims to describe the responses of junior high school students based on gender to learn mathematics by using educational game media. The subjects of this study were 7thand 8thgrade of junior high school students in Mataram-West Nusa Tenggara, a total of 101 students. Study data were obtained from a questionnaire about the use of educational games in mathematics classes. Study data processing using descriptive statistics, qualitative methods. The results of the study show that there are differences in responses between male and female students, towards: fun learning and increased motivation using media games and missions in educational games.Keywords: Edukasi, Game, Gender, MathematicsAbstrakPenggunaan media pada pembelajaran matematika dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih mudah belajar. Data studi diperoleh dari kuesioner tentang penggunaan game edukasi di kelas matematika.Pengolahan data studi menggunakan statistic deskriptif ,metode kualitatif. Abstract

AbstractThe learning process underwent a surprising change, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Minister of Education makes a decision to implement online learning. Because learning is carried out online, teachers and students must continue to adjust learning which is usually face-to-face, this is only through virtual. Researchers conducted observations at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tarakan, obtained information that in the implementation of online learning, students were often late for zooming, and sometimes students did not attend learning activities via zoom. Assignments given by the teacher are often late for students to collect. In addition to observations, interviews with mathematics teachers were also conducted, he provided information that the low enthusiasm of students to learn online, students' readiness to learn seemed to be lower than in direct learning. From the problems that appear in the field, the author is interested in conducting a research entitled "Identification of Student Interests in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tarakan in Online Learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic Period". The type of research used in this research is quantitative research. Based on the results of the research carried out, it was concluded that the interest in learning of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tarakan students during Study From Home (BDR) during the COVID-19 Pandemic was in the medium category at 61%, in the high category at 17% and in the low category at 22%.Keywords : Interest in Learning, Mathematics, Online LearningAbstrakProses pembelajaran mengalami perubahan yang cukup mengejutkan, dikarenakan kondisi Pandemi Covid-19. Menteri Pendidikan mengambil keputusan untuk dilaksanakannya pembelajaran secara Daring. Karena pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara Daring, maka Guru dan siswa harus tetap menyesuaikan pembelajaran yang biasanya secara tatap muka, ini hanya melalui virtual. Peneliti melaksanakan observasi di SMP Muhammadiyah  1  Tarakan,  diperoleh informasi bahwa dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring, siswa sering terlambat mengikuti zoom, bahkan tak jarang siswa tidak hadir dikegiatan pembelajaran melalui zoom. Tugas yang diberikan guru sering terlambat dikumpulkan oleh siswa. Selain observasi, dilakukan juga wawancara dengan guru matematika, beliau memberikan informasi bahwa rendahnya antusiasme belajar siswa secara daring, kesiapan belajar siswa terlihat lebih menurun dibandingkan pembelajaran secara langsung. Dari permasalahn yang tampak dilapangan maka penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian yang berjudul “Identifikasi Minat Belajar Siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tarakan  Dalam Pembelajaran Daring di Masa Pandemi Covid-19”. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa minat belajar siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tarakan selama Belajar Dari Rumah (BDR) di masa Pandemi COVID-19  berada pada kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 61%, kategori tinggi sebesar 17% dan kategori rendah 22%.Kata kunci: Minat Belajar, Matematika, Pembelajaran Daring

Abstract

This study aims to find out how much percentage of each student's learning difficulties at number operations in solving the story problems in class VIII of Tanjung Palas State Middle School 2. This research was conducted in the odd semester of 2018/2019.This type of research is quantitative. The sampling technique used by Nonprobability Sampling with the type of Purposive Sampling sampling technique is the determination of samples with certain considerations, where the number of students sampled is 26 students. The results showed that the student learning difficulties with the highest percentage average score for students of Tanjung Palas 2 Public Middle School were operating indicators of 38.72% with a high category, followed by a principle of 43.59%, with a high category of concepts with categories 48.46% high, and 62.05% facts with a low category.
