Abstract

An  idea   of   karawitan   cultivation  in   gamelan  degung  is   the  realization  of imagination    and   expression   of   the   soul   based    on   the   experience   of   a cultivator/ stylist who is  applied  to a  claim.  In  this case the gamelan gamelan is functioned  as   an   accompaniment  of  the  "Pangbagea"  dance procession at  the opening ceremony of the XVI graduation  at STSI  Bandung as a  form of respect for all who attended the event.

Abstract

Based on the articles number 18 and  122  of Copyright Act  No. 28, 2014, Sold  Flat  Contract will be  ended in  some  conditions.   Therefore   anyEcono mic   Rights   of  songwriter   and   arrangers  will   be  transferred automatically by music producers after  passing 25 ears plus 2 ears of contract, or in another case after waiting until passing to 25 years plus 2 ears if the contract  has  not come to an  end,  The legal effects with  theother parties especially between  music producers as copyright holders andthe third parties whose some Economic  Rights and  Mechanical   Rights being transferred are not simple.  The ending time of the contract by an Act is unusual since  it is a private area. It is also an unusual term to be applied in different effect from the  existing legal terms such  as Null and  Void, and Invalida te. This legal  research will find any  legal aspects caused  b thesearticles  application.  It will  also examine a preferred and suggested contractby government to transfer a copyright of license contract. In this case songwriters  and  arrange rs,  music producer or any other parties can  avoid  ancircumstances indicated as an act against law in the future.

Abstract

Basaleis  name  ofthe  ritual  of Anak Dalam  Tribe  in Jambi.  There are some function soft his ritual, such  as  wedding  ceremony,  santet  (local  voodoo ),  and medication. Since1978, their Basale's medication ceremony is developed to an art performance  without losing its sanctity  named Basale Sirih Layang  Ngubat.  This performance has been developed  by Darwan Asri  with  Maliki (Alm.),  one  of the leaders of Anak Dalam Tribe in Batanghari Regency of Jambi

Abstract

This  paper presented  sind~n as  part of  the  wayang gol~k show  in  West Java. Before the  G30S/PKI incident sind~n was so popular,  it even  beat  the popularity of the   dalang.   This  phenomenon caused  unrest for  the   dalang  in  West Java.   The government intervened  to curb  the  sind~n which was seen as  too wild.  The  incident of sind~n which caused  unrest stopped  after a  seminar padalangan was held  in1964.   This  event proved  that   the  comunity  of Padalangan were able   to  unite to solve that problem.

Abstract

The existence of a significant dendang (“song”) in the musical art of Saluang Darek. Apart from being a musical medium, dendang plays an important role in conveying messages verbally. This research is a study of the discourse of marantau (“migration”) in the dendang 'Bujang Marantau'. The significance of the study of the discourse is based on a thought that dendang as a work of art contains certain values, ideas, and thoughts related to life experiences in everyday life which are often not revealed on the surface. The disclosure of the marantau discourse in the song uses perspective and discourse analysis, with interpretive qualitative methods. After the translation of the 'Bujang Marantau' dendang text, the text is then interpreted to include other texts other than the dendang which include; creator (Sawir Sutan Mudo), Saluang Darek music, Minangkabau culture, and the marantau tradition. The texts outside the 'Bujang Marantau' dendang are the surrounding context. The whole meaning of the discourse of marantau in the dendang 'Bujang Marantau' can be understood through the disclosure of the relation of meaning between the text and the context. Based on the studies that have been carried out, it was found that the discourse of marantau in the dendang 'Bujang Marantau' is a dilemmatic fact that occurs in the marantau tradition. Marantau activities apparently not only have an impact on economic improvement, self-maturation, but simultaneously trigger suffering.

Abstract

ABSTRAKInovasi Mang Koko dalam gamelan salendro,terlihat pada penciptaan gending bubuka, gending macakal, dan iringan lagu-lagu kawih. Dari ketiga unsur ini, yang sangat menonjol pada permainan melodi yang bersifat dialog antara waditra yang satu dengan waditra lainnya. Untuk membuktikan itu semua dianalisis denganteori kebudayaan. Dari teori tersebut tercermin bahwa konsep inovasi Mang Koko, penggarap karya seninya melalui organisasi, serta manfaat bagi masyarakat,dapat dirasakan hasilnya samppai saat ini. Hal inilah yang sangat penting untuk dibahas,karena inovasi permainan gamelan salendro, merupakan ciptaan baru daripada permainan gamelan salendro tradisi. ABSTRACT Mang Koko's innovation in the Salendro gamelan was seen in the creation of the bubuka gending, the macakal gending, and the accompaniment of kawih songs.From these three elements, which are very stand out in the melody play that is dialogue between one waditra and another waditra. To prove it, all being analyzed with cultural theory. From this theory, it is reflected that the concept of Mang Koko's innovation, the work of his art through the organization, as well as the benefits for the community, can be felt until now. This is very important to discuss, because the innovation of the Salendro gamelan play, is a new creation rather than the traditional salendro gamelan play.

Abstract

In  1930  Sinden  became part of the  Wayang Golek show.  This phenomenon is  the creativity  of the  puppeteer Baraja  who  was   not  satisfied  with  the  conventional wayang   gol~k    performance.    Finally     Sinden     presented   songs     that     was entertainment   in   Wayang   Golek   show  performances.   Furthermore,   the   other puppeteers imitated   him  and  in the  end  the  sind~n  and  the puppeteers  became a unity  called the "Dwi Tunggal"  who complemented and worked together  in the performance.  In the  beginning,  the presence of sind~n  in the  Waang  Golek  show gave   the  famous  sind~n   in  the  community.  They   have  the  name   code  (popular name)    and   the   song    that characterizes   them.   This  phenomenon  shows   the dynamism of a traditional form ofperformance in the supporting community.

Abstract

Organografi dan organogram adalah sebuah metode yang diciptakan oleh Mantle Hood untuk menyederhanakan instrumen dari bentuk aslinya. Organografi dan organogram dapat digunakan oleh kolektor dan museum untuk mengelompokkan instrumen musik dengan jumlah yang cukup banyak. Instrumen yang dijadikan sebagai objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kacapi indung tembang Sunda cianjuran. Dalam mendeskripsikan instrumen ter-dapat berbagai cara, salah satunya dengan organografi dan organogram yang wujudnya berupa gabungan-gabungan dari simbol. Hasil akhirnya, ka-capi indung tembang  Sunda cianjuran diinterpretasikan melalui gabungan simbol-simbol yang dijelaskan secara visual serta dapat menyampaikan ba-nyak informasi secara singkat padat dan jelas.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKarya langgam tasauf merupakan karya eksperimental berbasis improvisasi yang dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena dialektika atas tungku tigo sajarangan yang merupakan falsafah adat masyarakat Minangkabau sebagai ide penciptaan karya. Interpretasi pengkarya atas fenomena mengasilkan karya berbentuk tiga instrumen rekonstruksi yang diberi nama tasauf dan karya pertunjukan musik dengan judul Langgam Tasauf. Kedua karya ini disusun dengan memaknai dialektika sebagai ide garap musikal yang berbasis improvisasi musik dan tungku tigo sajarangan sebagai ide penciptaan instrumen tasauf. Penciptaan dan penyusunan karya langgam tasauf dilakukan dengan melalui tahap observasi pembuatan instrumen dan observasi aspek musikal yang berikutnya dipraktikkan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian artistik. Dalam penyusunan karya musik langgam tasauf, dialektika diartikan sebagai proses pencarian budaya diri sendiri yang menginterpretasi proses dialektika. Dalam hal ini tesis diartikan menjadi nan tongga, antitesis diartikan menjadi dialek, dan sintesis diartikan menjadi Sapilin.  ABSTRACTLanggam Tasauf's work is an experimental work based on improvisation which is motivated by the dialectical phenomenon of tungku tigo sajarangan which is the customary philosophy of the Minangkabau people as the idea of creating works. The writer's interpretation of the phenomenon resulted in a work in the form of three reconstructive instruments named Tasauf and a musical performance work entitled Langgam Tasauf. These two works were composed by interpreting dialectics as an idea to work on a musical based on musical improvisation and Tungku Tigo Sajarangan as the idea of creating a Tasauf instrument. The creation and arrangement of Langgam Tasauf's work is carried out by going through the observation stage of making instruments and observing musical aspects which are then practiced using artistic research methods. In the compilation of Langgam Tasauf musical works, dialectics is defined as the process of searching for one's own culture which interprets the dialectical process where the thesis is interpreted as Nan tongga, antithesis is defined as dialect, and Synthesis is defined as Sapilin.

Abstract

Kacapi in tembang sunda cianjuran  related  to gamelan degung.  Bonang melodies in  gamelan  degung  were   adopted  by  Kacapi  Indung,  and  peking  melodies   in gamelan degung   were  adopted  by  kacapi rincik.  This paper tries  to explore the relationship  by  comparing the  melodic  between the  kacapi instruments  and  the instruments in the  gamelan gamelan degung.  The  result was   kacapi in tembang sunda cianjuran  as miniature of the gamelan degung performance.
