Abstract

This service is in the form of mentoring activities that aim to understand students in writing accredited national scientific articles that provide the key to student success in writing in nationally reputable journals). This service activity was conducted at the Institut Agama Islam Ma’arif NU (IAIMNU) Metro Lampung, Indonesia. This seminar activity consists of 4 actions: presentation of material by a servant, review of scientific articles of one student by a servant, question and answer, and evaluation of service. The evaluation results of this service activity indicate that the percentage of the score in filling out the questionnaire is 90% which is in the high category, which means that this mentoring activity is very successful in providing understanding to participants in writing scientific articles. This success is due to good cooperation between the Head of Study Program, presenters from the PKM element, and students participating in this mentoring activity. The service recommends that for students to write scientific articles, students must understand three knowledge: the stages of writing, writing components of scientific papers, and submitting scientific articles to journals.

Abstract

2020 is a year full of challenges that will change the dynamics of the global economy. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced governments around the world to take drastic measures to stop the spread of the virus in all activities including economic activity. The people's weaving industry (ATBM) in Cepagan Village, Warungasem District, Batang Regency is a potential industry and is a center for the creative industry of Non-Machine Weaving Equipment (ATBM). But unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has forced most weaving craftsmen to lose market share. In fact, they are forced to go out of business and sell some weaving equipment to meet their daily needs. The traditional woven fabric market is average in tourist cities, such as in Bali, Lombok, as well as several European countries. But because of the pandemic, the turnover fell drastically to 90% because all access was closed and there was no demand, so it was very difficult to market it. One of the most solutive ways in marketing activities during the pandemic is online marketing using social media. The MSMEs in Cepagan Village as processors of woven clothing of the ATBM type have used Facebook social media in their online marketing activities, but knowledge related to the use of Facebook for online marketing media purposes still minimal. For this reason, the Community Service Proposing Team is interested in holding Facebook Marketing Optimization training activities for MSME Personal Branding and Sales Increase

Abstract

Electrical installation is one way to distribute electricity from the generating center to the load center. The occurrence of fires due to electricity can be caused by several things, including installations that are not in accordance with PUIL standards, irregular maintenance and the use of sockets that accumulate. This is what encourages lecturers and students of the electrical engineering study program at the Fakfak State Polytechnic to carry out a service to repair the installation and installation of mosque lighting in the village of Tips, West Fakfak district. Based on the results of this service, electrical installations have been repaired in accordance with the provisions of the PUIL standard, followed by the installation of lighting on the terraces and prayer rooms. The mosque terrace lighting only uses one switch. This aims to make it easier when turning on the mosque terrace lights.

Abstract

Perum Griya Elok is located in the Arai Pinag sub-district, Lubuk Begalung sub-district, Padang city, Perum Griya Elok has a population of approximately 500 residents where these residents come from various races and ethnic religions. The younger generation who are at Perum Griya Elok tend to be unemployed due to limited knowledge and education. That's why we, the devotees, propose to provide an understanding of community service about technology that can generate money, exemplified by coaching using graphic design such as being able to use Photoshop and Coreldraw. The use of Photoshop graphic design now is very promising among being able to do photo editing for weddings, and the Coreldraw application is very promising. Among the creation of logos, posters, billboards themselves really help the youth to develop skills. To make money. With this coaching held, the youth at Griya Elok housing are able to use tools in Photoshop, and make logos with Corel Draw, where in this coaching they are given lectures with practice by providing levels for beginners. The goal is to quickly understand the use of the application where the level itself is from the beginning to the editing process to the design of the image itself.for each language can only be written in one paragraph with the format of one column.

Abstract

Cooking oil is oil derived from purified plant or animal fats—liquid forms at room temperature and usually frying food. Cooking oil is produced from palm oil on a large scale; the filtering process is carried out twice. This causes the content of unsaturated fatty acids and makes the cooking oil quickly damaged in the frying process because, in the frying process, the oil will be heated continuously at a high temperature. The oil will be directly mixed with the outside air during the frying process, resulting in an oxidation reaction. This is what is known as cooking oil, which is cooking oil that has been used for frying. Due to the large amount of waste cooking oil produced, it is necessary to recycle used cooking oil, one of which is soap's essential ingredient. We students of Unisnu KKN class XI group 76 will conduct training on soap making with used cooking oil as the base material produced by Tahu Walik Bu Ida's partner, which will be carried out at the partner's house RT 08/ RW 03 Ujung Batu, Jepara. By utilizing waste cooking oil processed into soap, it is hoped that partners will be aware that used cooking oil can be utilized.

Abstract

This article is a report of Community Service Program aiming at giving understanding and learning experience to Ponorogo tourism ambassador in improving Public Speaking and English competency to promote tourism. The participants of this program are 20 finalists of Ponorogo tourism ambassador 2021. This one-day-training program is carried out in form of presenting, practicing directly, doing demonstration, and simulation. Furthermore, Public Speaking materials presented are the basic technique of Public Speaking, solving anxiety in Public Speaking, the breathing technique of Public Speaking, the vocal technique of Public Speaking, Public Speaking preparation, the opening technique of Public Speaking, the material delivering of Public Speaking, and the closing technique of Public Speaking. English materials covered greeting expressions, asking and giving information, and explaining tourism object. After the materials presentation, all the participants should get throughdirect practice on delivering Public Speaking in English about tourism. Generally, the participants are active and enthusiastic. All participants can follow and perform direct demonstration related to the materials given. There are still mistakes they have done in using grammar and pronouncing some English words. However, they show their best efforts understanding the material. At the end of this program, the participants are expected to have learning experience as one of their asset to sharpen Public Speaking ability and foreign language proficiency, especially English.

Abstract

Pendidikan ramah anak menjadi fokus utama dalam program merdeka belajar yang dilaksanakan oleh pemberintah. Kegiatan workshop bagi guru PAUD dan SD dilaksakan untuk menunjang propram tersebut yang dilakukan di kecamatan mantub dengan metode brainstorming. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan pengayaan pengetahuan tentang sekolah ramah anak dan berbagi pengalamanan tentang berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi. Antusias peserta workshop sangat tinggi terhadap tema yang diberikan serta mendapatkan solusi terhadap berbagai persoalan yang terjadi dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan di sekolah mereka.

Abstract

The level of awareness about education in general and the ability to speak English is still low, especially in the millennial community, so it is necessary to make innovations in learning English. In order to support the implementation of English language learning in millennial communities during the COVID-19, it is necessary to apply an online method. During the pandemic, the government's efforts, one of which is face-to-face learning, cannot be done because it is to reduce and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Based on this explanation, our team held a devotion activity by the title "Implementation of Online Methods as Optimizing English Learning for Millennials in the COVID-19 Pandemic". The results of these activities ran well. It is hoped that this activity can improve the language skills of the millennial community by being much practice, especially English.

Abstract

Catechesis in Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (GMIT) is vital in building the faith of the church youth. The curriculum still needs to be fully developed. Therefore, the assessment only emphasizes the students’ cognitive aspect. In order to support and equip the teachers, community service was held. The purpose of the service was to give them chances to learn more about how to design a proper and holistic assessment in Catechesis. The activity was conducted in three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. After the conference, the participants reflect on their experiences, obstacles, and ideal concept of the character assessment. Overall, they understood the importance of carefully thinking and designing the curriculum appropriately.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu Perempuan Kepala Keluarga (PEKKA) Kelurahan Serengan mengenai pembuatan sabun batang serta menjadi ide usaha untuk menambah pendapatan. Metode yang dipilih dalam kegiatan pengabdian adalah sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Kegiatan diawali dengan pemaparan materi yang berisi definisi mengenai sabun, prinsip kerja sabun, macam-macam sabun, alat dbn bahan, langkah pembuatan sabun, dan tips pemurnian minyak jelantah. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan, dimana ibu-ibu menirukan tahapan yang dicontohkan oleh kelompok KKN UNS. Protokol penggunaan bahan kimia juga dijelaskan oleh kelompok KKN UNS guna meminimalisir kecelakaan kerja selama pembuatan sabun batang. Dampak dari kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan sabun batang mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu PEKKA dalam mengolah limbah rumah tangga seperti minyak jelantah menjadi ide usaha yang dapat menambah pendapatan. Kegiatan pengabdian membuat ibu-ibu PEKKA memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan baru mengenai pembuatan sabun batang berbahan dasar minyak jelantah serta produk sabun batang dapat menjadi ide usaha yang membantu kelompok PEKKA menambah pendapatan. .
