Abstract

The riverbank area is a waterfront area that has several advantages, especially those related to more strategic functions and accessibility. The geographical condition of the State of Indonesia, especially Papua Province, which has many rivers as a life orientation, makes the riverbanks a place to live and get a livelihood. This study aims to determine or identify the factors that influence environmental pollution of the Acai River, analyze community behavior towards environmental conditions, what efforts can be made in environmental management and what are the activities and behavior of the people living on the banks of the Acai River. The results showed that the factors that influence the pollution are the lack of garbage collection basins, disposal of activity waste to the community into the river. Then the behavior of the community still does not pay attention to the environment and does not care about the condition of the environment around them, especially regarding the Kali Acai River. Recommendations of this study are intense socialization to raise awareness to the community, and intense cross-stakeholder care involving elements of the government, NGOs and local communities to produce integrated environmental management.

Abstract

Drought is a natural event and attacks slowly, such as the drought that occurred in Lake Ayamaru which has had a very wide adverse impact on people in Maybrat Regency, because the function of the lake has been lost in recent years. Considering that drought is a recurring event, it is necessary to know the causes of drought and control strategies, so that the aim of this study is to conduct an analysis to determine the factors causing drought in Ayamaru Lake and the efforts made to control drought, so that it can be used as a reference to minimize the drought that occurs. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative research. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, in-depth interviews (indepth interview), documentation and direct observation. The data used, namely, the data that was filtered through the results of the questionnaire, was processed and analyzed by the qualitative-quantitative descriptive method using the cross tabulation approach (crosstabulation). The data collected is categorized using a Likert scale. This shows that the cause of the dryness of Lake Ayamaru is due to Rock properties factors, Rainfall factor, Topographic factors, Land use factors; and control strategies implemented to overcome drought, namely; The vegetative method is carried out with reforestation and agroforestry. The mechanical method is by constructing a sediment control building (check dam) and making a triangular terrace on the slope area.

Abstract

Papua Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia which is currently experiencing rapid infrastructure development. The capital of Papua Province is Jayapura City, where currently Jayapura City is one of the cities that is developing the provision of green open space (RTH) in the form of a City Park. The availability of City Parks in Jayapura City is in fact empirically the use or interest of the community towards city parks is lacking. This is what encourages the author to examine how the distribution of City Parks to Jayapura City Spatial Planning. The purpose of this study was to describe the condition of RTH in the form of City Parks in Jayapura City, to find out the distribution of City Parks in Jayapura City and to analyze the needs of City Parks in Jayapura City. The method used is descriptive quantitative which aims to describe the need for green open space (City Park) in Jayapura City through the calculation of a simple mathematical formula. The results of the analysis will be the basis for the study in determining the area needed to provide green open space at the research location by comparing the available green open space. The results obtained are that there are 5 (five) city parks in North Jayapura District, Jayapura City that are inadequate, the availability of RTH for city parks is 282,000 ha and to achieve the standard requirements for the ideal area of green open space in the city, Jayapura City must fulfill 280,795 ha.

Abstract

One of the most visited natural attractions is tourism with natural scenery in the form of clouds that can be seen in a place that is higher than the clouds. This tour is better known as the Land Above the Clouds, which is precisely located in Lolai Village, Kapalapitu District, North Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi Province. According to the Tana Toraja Regency Culture and Tourism Service (Disbudpar), tourism development in Tana Toraja Regency is still constrained by infrastructure and supporting facilities. Tourism infrastructure is natural and man-made resources that are absolutely needed by tourists traveling in tourist destinations, such as roads, electricity, water, telecommunications, terminals, bridges and so on. In the development of NDA-L tourism infrastructure, the North Toraja district government is more dominant because they can take multiple benefits from this development, such as increasing the flow of information, economic traffic flow, the flow of human mobility between regions and so on which of course can increase business opportunities and work. With the better condition of roads and infrastructure at the NDA-L tourist sites, it is not surprising that there are increasing tourist visits. Especially on holidays or holidays. The number of visitors can be up to 20 thousand visitors per day. Of course this will be very beneficial in terms of the economy and tourism development. Especially for economic improvement through the tourism industry, there are many benefits that can be taken if the existing economic industry can develop optimally.

The purpose of this paper is to identify how big the impact and will affect improving the quality of roads on regional development and economic growth in Supyori district. The problem in this paper is that the contribution of improving the quality of roads has not been identified on the development of the Mimika Regency area, research or study efforts that explain how big the impact is after the quality of the roads is improved.

Abstract

The development of Wamena airport transportation infrastructure is able to encourage new growth centers that have an impact on economic growth for the surrounding area. Along with the increasing number of visitors and airport passengers, the existing service facilities around the airport will be needed, so that the airport will foster trade and service activities that are able to provide jobs for the surrounding community. The most visible impact of the existence of a new airport in an area is the shift of business activity units and changes in land use carried out by the community around the airport. With the impact of the construction of the airport after it was developed. The community is manifested in the form of perceptions from the public regarding the airport development plan as well as the tendency for business reorientation plans to be carried out after the airport is built. Perceptions related to business reorientation are needed because in the end they will find out which business directions are in demand by the community around the airport affected area due to changes in land function on economic growth by affecting the surrounding economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the pattern of waste management, to assess the active role and involvement of the community in waste management through the 3R method (reduce, reuse, recycle). The research methodology uses descriptive quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis methods. Collecting data through observation, questionnaires, and interviews with the sampling technique used is the Stratified Random Sampling method with a sample of 100 respondents. Through the identification carried out, it was found that the community's preference for waste management was included in the good category. Community participation in the current solid waste management system is still low. The role of stakeholders in waste management is still only normative. The potential and constraints of community participation can be developed into a form of household scale management, a form of communal management, and a form of centralized management. Thus, it was found that in order to find a form of waste management in accordance with local conditions, it was necessary to assess community preferences, development potentials and constraints, as well as the economic potential of solid waste, which was integrated with the current form of management.
