Jurnal Al-Qiyam
Jurnal Al-Qiyam (E-ISSN 2745-9977) is a peer-reviewed scientific open access national journal published by Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Al-Furqan. Jurnal Al-Qiyam welcomes articles on all aspects of Learning Strategy and management and increasingly complex issues confronting teacher education at the national and global levels. These are fundamentally concerned with issues of management in classrooms, learning strategy, school systems, and online learning. Management particularly welcomes articles that contribute to the field in the following ways: Scholarly articles reporting new empirical findings that make an original contribution to the field; Scholarly articles that make a theoretical contribution which extends and deepens our understanding of the key issues associated with leadership, management, and practice in online environments; Scholarly articles that explore alternative, critical, and re-conceptualised views of school leadership, management; Scholarly articles that provide state of the art reviews within an national or international context.

<![CDATA[The rapid development of the business world today makes more and more companies are innovating the products sold, services provided and provide appropriate information to their customers to create a loyal consumer of the company. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of product quality, and interpersonal communication to consumer loyalty. The research method used is Simple Random Sampling with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. To ensure the accuracy of information, the number of population as much as 524 people are then drawn the number of samples as many as 100 people. The results showed that based on a simultaneous test (F test), product quality and interpersonal communication had the positive and significant effect to consumer loyalty but based on a partial test (t-test) there are different results where only interpersonal communication does not affect consumer loyalty. Interpersonal communication is not very influential on consumer loyalty and most importantly for consumers is the fulfillment of banking needs can be met without the presence of perceived difficulty.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality, price, and promotion of purchasing decision in Indonesia. The data used taken from some Indonesian people who usually drink local tea. The purposive sampling method used in the selection of respondents involving ninety-two people. The results of this study partially indicate that quality had a significant and positive effect on purchasing decisions by sixty percent. Price had a significant and positive effect on purchasing by forty-two percent. The promotion had a significant and positive effect on purchasing decisions by fifty percent. Simultaneously, the quality, price, and promotion significantly affected the purchase decision by seventy-two percent]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to describe the role of the clerics to actualize good governance concept in the development of Makassar City. Therefore, clerics are not merely issuing “fatwas” (religious advises) for the sake of society, but also, clerics can also play a role in development process. The method applied in this research is a descriptive method. While the approach applied is a qualitative method because the issues that are studied are phenomenological. The results show that the role of clerics is optimal in actualizing good governance concept in Makassar City development process. The role and function of the clerics can be represented as a community counselor in line with the government's role as servant and protector of society. Moreover, the policy taken by the government has been supported by all the clerics in actualizing development programs for the mutual good of the societies. In making strategic decisions, clerics sometimes contribute and suggestions to the government to improve social support of that decision]]>

<![CDATA[Numerous complications in conveying students’ideas and comprehending the words from teachers due to lack of academic vocabulary Many teaching techniques or strategies the teacher can use to make students learn the vocabulary effectively. This study aims at examining the effectiveness of Computer-based Flashcard Program (CFP) is effective in teaching vocabulary. Pre-experimental method with one group pretest and posttest was the design of this study. This study involved thirty one students of Islamic Junior High School in Makassar city, Indonesia chosen conveniently. The data were collected through a vocabulary test to examine the effectiveness of CFP to improve the vocabulary mastery using t-test. The result of the data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between pretest and posttest. This study found that use of CFP is effective to improve vocabulary mastery]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims at finding out whether or not the use of video improves the learners’ vocabulary of the young learners. This study applied pre-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. Twenty junior high school learners in Mataram involved in this study. The data were collected through vocabulary test (pre-test and post-test). This study used cluster random sampling technique. A t-test was used to measure the significance of animated video usage in improving young learners’ vocabulary achievement. Mean score of post-test was greater than the mean score of the pre-test. <![CDATA[The purpose of this research to analyze the influence of firm size, liquidity, growth opportunities, tangibility asset, and business risk to the capital structure of listed food and beverage manufacturing companies in Indonesia and Vietnam Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2016. The result shows that the fixed effects model should be appropriate for this study as compared to the random effect model. Capital structure significantly differences between the two countries. Firm size has a positive but insignificant influence on the capital structure in Indonesia, whereas it has a positive and a significant influence on the capital structure in Vietnam. Liquidity has a negative and significant influence on the capital structure both in Indonesia and Vietnam. Growth opportunities have a negative but insignificant influence on the capital structure both in Indonesia and Vietnam. Asset tangibility has a positive but insignificant influence on the capital structure in Indonesia, but it has the negative but insignificant influence on the capital structure in Vietnam. Ultimately, the business risk has a negative and significant influence on the capital structure in Indonesia but has a positive and insignificant influence on the capital structure in Vietnam.]]>

<![CDATA[Education is an effort to develop the potential that exists in humans. Teachers are an integral part of educational resources that explore the educational success. A teacher who plays a role in the intellectual and mental coaching of students is expected to instill discipline and attitude towards students. This study aims to explore the role of Islamic education teachers in instilling student discipline. The method of this study is qualitative to explore the state of the object of the study. Five of the Islamic education teachers participated in this study. The instrument used in this study is interview protocols. The results of this study showed that Islamic education teachers are competent in carrying out their roles. Likewise in their role in instilling students’ discipline, Islamic education teachers are informers, organizers, motivators, initiators, and evaluators.]]>

<![CDATA[Cultural diversity is a necessity or is a Sunnatullah that occurs in human life. The existence of Allah SWT. Creating human beings with ethnicity and nationhood in essence created a diverse culture. We can see this in Indonesia, which is a pluralistic society, each tribe or region has its own cultural characteristics. To reveal the diversity of cultures the perspective of the Qur'an in this paper is used by Al-Farmawy's method of interpretation Al-Maudhui with a multi-interpretation approach (some interpretations that you use). <![CDATA[This paper discusses human resource management from an education quality perspective. This study aims to find out the description of human resources in building the quality of education. This study applies descriptive qualitative. Data source from Madrasah principals, heads of administration, head of curriculum and evaluation, and educators. Data collection method by interviewing the participants. The instrument of this study uses interview guidelines. Data analysis were carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that human resources in the Madrasah Aliyah IMMIM Makassar Modern Islamic Boarding School were in the good category. The reality of the quality of education shows very satisfying results, it is categorized in very good. The implication of this study is that it is hoped that it can become information and reference about the need to review the activities of human resource management in developing the quality of education, primarily from the perspective of internal customers consisting of educators and education personnel as "motor" all activities of madrasah and not just factors of production but also assets that need attention. The reality of the implementation of human resource management in several schools and madrasah needs to be evaluated more intensively to find out more about the potential advantages and disadvantages and limitations of each school or madrasah.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the mechanism of Good Corporate Governance, DER, Asset Growth on company performance (empirical studies on mining companies listed on the Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia Stock Exchange period 2010-2017). This research is quantitative research which aims to systematically explain about the facts and properties in an object in the study then merged between variables related to it by presenting secondary data from financial reports from mining companies in the countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The samples used in this study were 15 mining companies in the countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. In this study, the data analysis method used is the data panel (pooled data) which is a combination of time series data and data between individuals or cross sections in mining companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
