Abstract

PT XYZ, a company in outsourcing business, is in the midst of business model change. This change demands two things from the employees. First, because of the increasing complexity of the intended business process, companies need to improve their employees' capabilities. Second, for the process of change to work well and quickly employees need to be in tune with the core competencies of the company. This thesis focuses on achieving that second demand through employee development strategies and programs at the manager level. Managers have a role as a bridge between top management and staff. This unique position makes the manager role as a lever in the internalization of core competencies. The success of PT XYZ instilling core competencies in managers will determine the success of internalizing core competencies across the company. The success of such internalization will determine the success of business model change which will be the future of the company. This will be the foundation of PT XYZ in doing evolution. This thesis produces the design of the strategic scope and program scope of human resource development based on core competency. The strategic scope ensures human resource development will align with and support the corporate strategy. The program scope designs appropriate development activities to build core competencies, develop ways to evaluate them, and ensure managers can apply these core competencies in their jobs.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understanding the impact or work life balance on employee performance with the existence of X and Y in Jakarta. The dimensions of work life balance in this study was divided into four dimensions, personal life interference (PLIW), work interference personal life (WIPL), work enhancement personal life (WEPL) and personal life enhancement work (PLEW). This research was analyzing questionnaire’s result of 384 employees’ in Jakarta using quota sampling technique. The sample consist of 192 employee generation X and 192 employee generation Y. SPSS 23 was used for statistical analysis including regression. The partial test showed that WIPL has a insignificant effect on the performance of X and Y generation, PLIW has a negative and significant effect, WEPL and PLEW has a positive and significant effect. From the four dimensions of work life balance measurement, it was also founded that the variable that most influence generation X was PLEW and the variable that most influence generation Y was WEPL. Next research must pay attention to the measurement of employee performance with different methods, namely real measurement derived from company.

Abstract

This research discusses the design of risk management strategies in MHP projects in Indonesia. MHP is a type of power plant that uses hydropower to turn turbines for generate an electricity. The MHP project involves a large investment with a long construction period.  The length of the construction time, creates an uncertainty factor that impacts on three aspects of the project objectives. The objective aspects of the project are cost, quality, and time. Several MHP projects in Indonesia have underperformed, such as delays in completion time and cost overruns. The risk management process, which consists of risk identification, risk assessment, risk management formulation and risk control, forms the basis of research work. In this study, 23 risks were identified in the MHP project. Fifteen of them have high impact on two aspects and three have high impact on three aspects of project objectives. The results of this study can be used as a guide for risk management in MHP projects in Indonesia. The results of this study can be used as a guide for risk management in MHP projects in Indonesia. It is hoped that the design of this strategy will also help the project to achieve its goals. Furthermore, the results of this research can be used as learning materials in planning the development of MHP in the future.

Abstract

This thesis discusses about the business strategy design 2021 - 2023 period. The formulation of business strategy is carried out by conducting an external analysis, in order to obtain opportunities and threats that can affect the shipping industry, then formulate the strengths and weaknesses of PT. BPM, then performs the formulation of alternative strategies using internal and external analysis (IE) and the TOWS Matrix. And in order to obtain several alternative strategic options. The last step is choosing a strategy using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM).  QSPM analysis shows that the selected strategy for the 2021 - 2023 period is a product development and planning business implementation of the chosen strategy.

Abstract

The research in this thesis is motivated by the losses suffered by the venture capital company, PT Indo Inkubator Bisnis in acquiring a business partner. The purpose of this study is to formulate a guideline for the feasibility evaluation and performance measurement of the investment assets of PT Indo Incubator Bisnis. The results of the study concluded that there are six aspects that need to be evaluated before deciding to invest in a business partner. The six aspects are: legal aspects, operational aspects, market and competition aspects, key management aspects, financial aspects and valuation aspects. The results also concluded that there are four indicators that need to be routinely monitored for each business partner that has become the object of investment. The four indicators are: development of income value, development of profit value and margin level, development of dividend value, and development of share value of business units. The test results of the investment feasibility evaluation guide on the object of PT LMS conclude that this business unit is actually not a viable investment target. The results of the investment performance on the object of PT LMS also show that this investment asset does not have a good performance development.

Abstract

RR Outdoor Purworejo, as a commercial company engaged in outdoor equipment rental services to take advantage of the existing potential, must be very intense in paying attention to the promotion side of the company. So the researchers conducted this research with the aim of formulating the marketing strategy of the RR Outdoor Purworejo company for the period 2021-2022.  This study uses a 3c analysis approach which includes: customers, companies, and competitors by using a quantitative, qualitative research approach with survey methods that include questionnaire research instruments and interviews with <50 respondents involved.  The results of this study directed RR Outdoor Purworejo to formulate its marketing strategy for the period 2021-2022, namely the Tour Guide promo program for fun camping, open trips, and private trips.

Abstract

Companies that annually disclose CSR limit the occurrence of EM practices. A good DER is one with a low percentage, and a large SIZE will reduce the occurrence of EM. This study aims to see the effect of CSRD, DER, and SIZE on EM in trading companies in Indonesia and the Philippines in 2016-2020 and compare the results of each variable. The theory used is agency and stakeholder theory. The method to measure in the study using multiple regression analysis. Dependent Variables: EM, Independent Variables: CSRD, DER, and SIZE, research data were taken from 2016–2020 on trading companies in Indonesia and the Philippines, sampling using purposive sampling 70 data will be sampled in the study. The results of this study see that CSR in trading companies in the Philippines has a significant effect in reducing the occurrence of EM practices, while in Indonesia, it has no effect. DER has no impact on EM in both countries, SIZE in Indonesia has a negative impact on EM, and SIZE has no effect on EM in the Philippines.

Abstract

The courier, express, and parcel (CEP) market in Indonesia is growing rapidly in line with the growth of e-commerce. These developments created intense competition among the CEP companies. SBU expresses PT. As a new CEP company, XYZ seeks to avoid the red ocean competition by innovating the Blue Ocean Strategy. The research method used is qualitative research to study social phenomena by processing data in words sourced from interviews and studies of company documents and articles from outside the company. Based on the blue ocean strategy analysis, PT. XYZ formulates the company's strategy by creating B2C (Business to Customer) and C2C (Customer to Customer), and B2B (Business to Business) business models. The formulation of the blue ocean strategy for CEP services for B2C and C2C, is delivery via 3D printing, eco-friendly packaging, drop off drive-thru, mobile outlets and halal logistics services. Meanwhile, for B2B, is  special handling for special goods, halal logistics services, environmentally friendly packaging, on-time delivery, and  logistics consulting services.

Abstract

The current food and beverage business can open up potential opportunities, one of which is chocolate products. Processed chocolate products can be very diverse, from chocolate bars to drinks. In this study, the focus is on the consumption of chocolate in the form of bars. This study aimed to analyze the effect of product quality and promotion on consumer buying interest in chocolate. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to the general public who like chocolate. Questionnaires were distributed to 150 respondents, and a total of 131 respondents were eligible for further processing. The study used respondents with criteria 18 - 50 years, domiciled in the city of Surabaya, and chocolate lovers. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis based on the t-test, which can explain the effect of an independent variable on the dependent variable. From the study results, it can be concluded that there is an effect of product quality and promotion on consumer buying desired. Hence, managerial implications for chocolate producers to focus more on product quality improvement and innovation, as well as packaging that is attractive and can also improve the durability of chocolate.

Abstract

RINGKASAN KASUS Subjek Area Kasus: Manajemen Strategis, PemasaranSutopo, diangkat sebagai Manajer Komersial Regional Jawa Timur yang baru. Sebagai pejabat struktural yang baru, Sutopo ditantang oleh manajemen untuk dapat meningkatkan tingkat penggunaan Harbour Mobile Crane (HMC) di Terminal Jamrud, Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak. Terminal Jamrud adalah terminal multi-purpose terbesar yang dimiliki oleh PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) yang melayani berbagai macam jenis barang dan ukuran kapal yang beragam. HMC digunakan sebagai alat bongkar muat dari kapal ke dermaga atau sebaliknya. Jasa alat bongkar muat merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak layanan yang ditawarkan oleh Perusahaan. Dalam memasarkannya, Sutopo dihadapkan dengan kondisi makro di Jawa Timur, lingkungan industri jasa alat bongkar muat, dan kondisi pasar yang ada saat ini.
