Abstract

Gunungsari Village, Sukaratu District, is one of the areas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, because the majority of the people there head their families work outside the area and also work as traders and farmers. During the pandemic they cannot return to work, as well as traders and farmers, they cannot market their agricultural products to the fullest. With the regulation that people have to stay at home, apart from the difficulty in earning income, it also creates a new problem, namely the increase in plastic waste, especially plastic bottles, because in general they consume instant food and drinks. Plastic waste that continues to increase can cause serious problems if not treated immediately. To reduce the abundance of plastic waste, especially plastic bottles, there must be innovations that have a utilization goal. The concept of using plastic bottle waste as aquaponic planting media in the yard is an alternative to maintain food security so that food needs are met. In this service the methods used are planning, implementing actions, reflection, and evaluation. Results What is achieved from this service activity is increasing public knowledge about managing home yards for aquaponic cultivation to fulfill nutrition and help the community's economy.

Abstract

Problems in an area can be quickly handled and managed by providing geospatial information in maps form. The University of Muhammadiyah Gorontalo Integrated Field Laboratory (LLTUMGO) is one field of learning media for the UMGO academic community. As a field of learning of media, a map is needed so in the future, the spatial arrangement and planning can utilize optimally. LLTUMGO was initiated at the beginning of the even semester of 2020-2021. One of the problems that occur is the unavailability of the LLTUMGO map. The map is needed in context structuring and planning the development that will be carried out to make it look attractive. Therefore, an initial step is needed to organize LLTUMGO starting from a map. The objectives of this community service activity are: 1) introduce and train partners in drone operations, 2) introduce area recording techniques, and 3) create LLTUMGO maps. This activity lasts for 1 day. The implementation method used in achieving the above objectives is carried out by providing an explanation and introduction to drones, drone operations, and recording technique practices. The results of this service activity are: 1) partners understand how to operate drones, 2) partners understand area recording techniques, and 3) LLTUMGO maps from aerial photos. In general, it can be concluded that this activity went well of partners were quite enthusiastic in participating in it even though several obstacles occurred in the field. Some of these obstacle include partner disciplines that are not in sync with the material provided and the time is short. Partner disciplines come from study programs with various backgrounds such as agribusiness, animal husbandry, aquaculture, information systems, psychology, and PGSD.

Abstract

The manufacture of biogas digesters is one solution to reduce the impact of environmental pollution due to dairy breeding.  Environmental pollution constraints are inevitable for the group of dairy breeders, Nedyo Rahayu. Most breeders have been dumping cow dung on waterways without first putting a shelter process in place. These activities can cause environmental pollution if they take place at any time. Based on existing problems, community development is carried out in the manufacture of biogas digesters as an alternative to preventive measures. Community development is carried out over a period of 3 months, starting from the first week of January 2022 until the final week of March 2022. The results of testing ANOVA's one-way method are known to be methods combined (theory and practice) to be the best methods. The average value of the combined method obtained from group member Nedyo Rahayu is 77.46. With the assistance of manufacturing biogas digesters portable, breeder group Nedyo Rahayu is expected to use the technology for alternative fuels and cage lighting. Portable biogas digester technology provides convenience in terms of maintenance, displacement, and low cost.

The Dharma Wanita Group (DWP) of the Lampung Provincial Forestry Service is a group of wives of civil servants in the Lampung Province Forestry Service which consists of ± 200 people. The purpose of forming this group is to increase the knowledge and skills of group members in supporting the husband's duties and is expected to be able to develop activities that can improve the family economy. Production forests in Lampung Province have great potential in producing non timber forest product (NTFP) commodities such as candlenut, nutmeg, coffee, citronella oil and a little patchouli oil. To increase the added value of these commodities, it requires skills and knowledge of persons engaged in the forestry sector to develop NTFP-based commercial products. Therefore, members of the DWP of the Lampung Provincial Forestry Service intend to develop practical knowledge and skills in making NTFP-based commercial products such as hand sanitizer. The purpose of this activity is to provide information on knowledge and practice of technical skills in making hand sanitizer from citronella oil, patchouli oil and clove oil.
