Abstract

Professional competence of teachers at SDK Coal is still low. They rarely pay attention to the efforts to improve their competence. Therefore, this study aims to describe the the competency of SDK Coal teachers and how to improve itut. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects were SDK Coal teachers and school principal. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the professional competence of SDK Coal teachers is not up to the expected standard, as can be seen from: a) competence in mastering the subject matter broadly and deeply. Teachers are fixated on source books during the learning process, they are difficult to apply concepts, and use existing sources without trying to find other sources; b) Competence in mastering the subject curriculum. Teachers do not prepare lesson plans (RPP) and tend to use conventional methods and strategies. c) Less able to develop the material in a sustainable manner with reflective actions. The teachers have not packaged learning materials properly, have not actively participated in seminar activities, and training in writing and publishing scientific papers. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the teachers at SDK Coal have not fully made efforts to improve professional competence

Abstract

The low of student learning outcomes and the limited activities of students in the classroom are often a learning problem to date. Therefore, it is very important to study the application of the PBL learning model and its effect on student achievement in elementary schools. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental with pretest posttest design. The sample was selected randomly and divided into two groups, namely the control group without using the PBL model, while the experimental group using the PBL model. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed by independent sample t-test and one sample t-test. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class. The PBL model is proven to be effective in increasing student achievement, this is indicated by the value of tcount 5, 209 t table 2,019, at 0.05. The assessment of the reference criteria for the KKM of subjects also shows that the average value of the experimental class has at least reached the KKM.

Abstract

Everyone would agree that upholding discipline is important. In fact, many students are undisciplined. Discipline is not an innate trait. It must be fought for, trained and accustomed. School is one of the formal institutions that are obliged to train and get used to a disciplined life. T eacher is one component in schools that play a strategic role in training and getting used to disciplined life. This essay proposes several theoretical-solution concepts about teacher strategies in training and teaching students to live disciplined lives. As for the focus of the study, the teacher's strategy, in this article: teaches, familiarizes, guides, sets an example, enforces rules, gives punishment and sanctions, and conducts monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

The people of Manggarai as part of one of the community groups certainly have habits. These habits can become the uniqueness and wealth of the Manggarai people. The customary practices carried out by the Manggarai community certainly contain positive meaning and benefit for the common good of the Manggarai community. One of the habits that is often done by most people is kumpul kope. The practice of kumpul kope displayed by the Manggarai community certainly contains positive meaning and benefits for the common good of the Manggarai community. This study aims to explore and find positive values ​​hidden behind the habit of kumpul kope carried out by the community in Lalong village, South Lembor sub-district, West Manggarai Regency. This research design uses a qualitative approach with observation and interview techniques. Data from observations and interviews were then processed with the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that kumpul kope is a habit by the people of Lalong village, South Lembor District, West Manggarai. In general, kumpul kope aims to raise money in order to help the prospective groom in financing the marriage process. More than that, the kumpul kope rite actually puts forward the application of togetherness, economic, solidarity and social values ​​for the community.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine strategies for using technology in integrative and collaborative learning after the Covid-19 pandemic by placing teachers as key actors. The scope of this research is limited to the Manggarai context as a field of analysis. This research is analytical-descriptive. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a constructivism paradigm. The data in this study were obtained from the results of literature studies and context analysis. The results of the study show that during the Covid-19 pandemic, distance learning models that rely on technological innovation are no longer an option as in previous times, but become an obligation. However, the integration of technology into distance learning is urgent. Many parties are not ready. Learning from this experience, the author recommends the need to develop a comprehensive technology adoption strategy in an integrative and collaborative learning model after the Covid-19 pandemic. This is important because post-Covid-19 pandemic we will face a “new normal” situation which is no longer the same as the situation before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The developed strategy needs to place the teacher as a key actor because technology cannot completely replace the teacher’s role. In the context of the Manggarai community, the implementation of the strategy needs to take into account the social, economic, cultural, and geographical conditions of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Pop Up Book learning media made of used paper based on students' creativity on climate change material. The research was conducted using a mixed approach, which combines quantitative and qualitative approaches. This research is a study to develop a product or perfect an existing product. The development process refers to a 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) which was modified into 3-D only by eliminating the disseminate or deployment stage due to time constraints. The results showed validation with a score of 85% from material experts, 71.42% from media experts, 95% from field experts, from the three experts the results averaged to 83.80%. Student responses to learning using pop up book learning media showed results of 89.19%.

Abstract

Indonesia was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has had a negative impact on people's lives, including the education system, starting from a primary institutions to the colleges because educational activities could not be carried out face-to-face directly. Learning activities experienced a setback due to the pandemic. The impact was experience both in the economic field where people were happier online shopping ranging from clothes shopping to food. Likewise learning activities teaching was carried out from home. Work was also done from home with a goal reduce the spread of this deadly virus. The danger of this corona virus has paralyzed many community activities, in all activities, hinder teaching and learning activities in schools as well.

Abstract

In learning activities in the classroom, the problems that are often faced by elementary school students are low mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to explain the effect of the Problem Based Learning Learning model on the Mathematics learning outcomes of students at SDI Watu Wangka, Pacar District, West Manggarai Regency. This research is an experimental research using a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all students of SDI Watu Wangka, totaling 228 students, while the sample was 34 students of class IV. The sampling technique used was Purposive Sampling. The data analysis technique used statistical test using t-test. The results showed that the Problem-Based Learning model had a significant effect on the Mathematics learning outcomes of SDI Watu Wangka students. This can be seen from t0 > tα with a significant level of 0.05, which is obtained t0 = 2.12 and tα = 2.03 so that H0 is rejected or H1 is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the problem based learning model has a significant effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of SDI Watu Wangka students. That is, the mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using the problem based learning model are higher than the mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using conventional learning models.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of students’ learning outcomes at SDI Wae Ciu becaused of the use of conventional learning models. The purpose of the study was to describe the comparison of student learning outcomes through the use of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model, and also to describe whether using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model could improve student learning outcomes. This type of research was quantitative research with experimental methods. Experimental research was causal (causation) where its evidence was obtained through comparisons between the experimental group (which was treated) through the use of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model, and the control group (which was not treated). Data collection techniques was the test to collect data on student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used was the t-test, after testing the normality and homogeneity. The results showed that the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model had a positive influence on student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the Paired Samples T-Test analysis, the posttest results obtained in the experimental class and control class were known that the t-count is 0.05 with a significance of 0.000. The significance value (2-tailed) which showed 0.000 > 0.05, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model also determined the accuracy of the expected goals, learning would be effective, efficient and the expected learning outcomes would be achieved. Based on the research that has been done, there was a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes by using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of character education values ​​in schools to overcome student bullying. The results prove that bullying behavior still occurs. This has an impact on victims who experience trauma. The need for approaches and understanding the theory of elementary school student development that focuses on children's character education as a solution in overcoming student bullying behavior. However, the reality was that the implementation of character education was not supported by school programs, the facilities and abilities of teachers to achieve good character among students. So that character strengthening needs to be developed with the aim of being an initial guide for students in facing the challenges of life's journey. This research was a quantitative research , research design was simple correlation. The sample of students in grades 4 to 6, amounting to 40 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling where the sampling was based on considerations that focused on a particular goal on the grounds that the selected sample students were considered to be able to provide information and understand the contents of each questionnaire statement. The data analysis technique used in this research is a simple linear regression technique and descriptive statistics. The results of this research indicate that (1). There was no effect between PPK and bullying behavior at SDI Liang Wakal. This can be seen from the results of the simple regression analysis that was carried out, it was obtained that the calculated F was -0.253 and the test of the significance or significance of the regression coefficient obtained the value of Sig = 0.132 > 0.05. A negative coefficient (F_count) indicated that the character program and bullying behavior did not affect each other.
