Abstract

The development of mass media in Indonesia has experienced tremendous growth. Especially after entering the reformation era, the tap of democracy in Indonesia has begun to open. This turned out to have a tremendous impact on press freedom. The press is no longer confined by the rules of the authorities, so that the press can be used by various parties to defend the interests of the institutions that own it, including for political interests. The trend that is currently seen is that social-political organizations in Indonesia are starting to compete to dominate media companies in order to improve their image in the eyes of the public. The political elites try to build political communication intensely in order to attract the sympathy of the masses to side with them. The media is so sought after by many parties because of its power in shaping public opinion.

Abstract

There are three kinds of political culture in Indonesian society, namely parochial political culture, subjects and participants. Parochial political culture can be seen in the lowly educated small society. They tend to be less concerned with the output that comes out of the government, which according to them does not affect their lives. Older political culture usually occurs in upper middle class society with higher levels of education and who have an interest and concern for political issues, but tend to give up because they feel they do not have the power to influence or change government policy. Meanwhile, the political culture of participants appears to be members of society who have the slightest influence in government decision making. Political elites, party elites, pressure groups or pressure groups such as NGOs, or a group of students carrying out government policies that harm the people, are examples of participant political culture.

Abstract

There are two characteristics of organizational culture, namely the characteristics of a strong organizational culture and the characteristics of a weak organizational culture. Strong organizational culture is a culture where the core values of the organization are held intensively and widely shared by members of the organization. Meanwhile, if these values are ignored or violated, it means that the organizational culture is weak. The disputes that occurred between various factions within the Democratic Party so as to destabilize the existence of the party showed the weak organizational culture of the party. As the ruling party, the Democratic Party has a duty to improve the welfare of all the people, not just being busy taking care of the party itself. However, the cases that hit this party make it quite difficult for the party to fix the party as well as lead it. This condition makes it more difficult for the party to build the image of the party to win the 2014 election.

Abstract

Sexual violence against women and children is still happening in Indonesia. Indonesia is a sexual violence emergency country that requires special attention from the government or other institutions so that this can be overcome together. Many efforts have been made by various women's and child protection institutions to prevent this from happening. Apart from the government and NGOs, the media, in this case, of course, also participates in the news as a media that can provide protection, but in reality there is still a lot of news that corners and does not provide protection for women and children. To prevent the recurrence of sexual violence against women and children, the role and participation of the community is needed. One component of the community is the family, which plays a role in instilling knowledge in children from an early age. This essay aims to discuss the emergency situation of violence in Indonesia and the role that non-governmental organizations can play in preventing sexual violence through campaigns, discussions and knowledge sharing through radio media, social activities, publishing books and assisting in the resolution process.
