Hasan Langgulung provide educational strategies to improve the quality of human resources education strategies at the macro and micro as well as giving priority actions to be given by those in charge of education in the Islamic world, especially the government. Macro strategy consists of three main components: first, the purpose of Islamic education that includes the formation of the pious man and the pious society. Second, the basic foundation upon which Islamic education curriculum consists of eight aspects: integrity, unity, continuity, originality, scientific, practical nature, solidarity, and openness. Third, the priorities in the action which includes the absorption of all children who reach school age, the diversity of development paths, review the materials and methods of education, strengthening of religious education, administration and planning, and regional cooperation between countries in the Moslem world. Whereas strategy the micro consists of only one component only, namely tazkiyah al-nafs (soul cleansing). Islamic education should have the orientation to develop human resources. In this case presents three orientations Hasan Langgulung for Islamic education in building motivation/work ethic, discipline building work, and the internalization of values.

Abstract

The dynamics and the development of thinking about the world of education eventually led them to a collective consciousness about the rights they have, including the right to take an active role in managing education. Such awareness led movement pattern of relations between the community and the government in the management of education. New patterns arising from this shift that caused the tug in determining educational paradigms that are considered most suitable for the culture and dynamics of Indonesian society. Implementation of decentralization or privatization system (commercialization) education is a difficult choice but it should be done. Two choices have consequences respectively. With a mature mental readiness, cultural throwing responsibility which often occurs, can be avoided or at least minimized in such a way. the spirit of all the options is to increase community participation is widely and independently. Society apart should be made aware of their responsibilities on education should also be given the opportunity to be creative as possible in accordance with the position and the ability of each. The process of raising awareness and providing opportunities for the public to walk in balance without ignoring one of the two. Ignoring the process will only bear awareness education without meaning

Abstract

of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas on the fundamental concepts of Islamic education is the concept of ta'dib. For him the most fundamental issues in Islamic education is the loss of civilized values in a general mean. This is more due to the confusion of understanding in the term of tarbiyah, ta’lim dan ta’dib. Al-Attas is more likely to use the term ta'dib to the concept of Islamic educationbecause if the concept of ta’dib is applied in a comprehensive, integral, and systematic practice of Islamic education, the various human resource development issues Muslims are expected to be overcome. Moreover, in Islamic history Muslim educational process is more likely to sense ta'dib than tarbiyah or ta’lim. More fundamental reason is closely related to the science of manners, because science can not be taught or transmitted to students unless the person had the proper culture to knowledge in various fields. The concept of Islamic education is only limited to the meaning tarbiyah and ta’lim have been possessed by the Western worldview based on the values of dualism, secularism, humanism, and Sufism so civilized values become increasingly blurred and increasingly distant from the values of hikmah Ilahiah. Ambiguity civilized values or civilized destruction resulted in injustice, ignorance, and insanity.

Abstract

The Madrasah is one form of Islamic educational institutions, early development, the madrasa is an independent educational institution, after Indonesia's independence, the government set a madrassa as a model and source of national education under the 1945 Constitution, in 1975, issued a joint decree (SKB) three of the Minister, the Minister of Education and Culture, Ministry of Interior and Minister of Religious Affairs of the Madrasah Quality Improvement which aims to madrasas obtain the same position with the public schools in the national education system. As a follow-up is the letter of the joint decision between the Minister of Education and Culture, Religious Affairs Minister No. 9299/U/1984 No. 45 of the Public School Curriculum Standardization settings and Madrasah curriculum. After the specified Law number 20 of 2003 on national education systems as a replacement and refinement of the previous Act VI of chapter 17 and chapter 18, the position of madrasas grew stronger as expressly referred to its position parallel to the public schools of equal rank. The position is formally defined as a product of equal educational policy of government, certainly not fully able to boost the prestige of academic madrasas until today as the emergence of opinion that the madrassas are second class. Therefore madrasas must reorganize itself to catch up in the mastery of general knowledge in public schools while providing adequate attention to the mastery of religious knowledge.
