Artikel yang dimuat pada Jurnal Pusat Inovasi Masyarakat (JPIM) berhubungan dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi deskripsi inovasi, praktik, dan perubahan kondisi masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa karya ilmiah yang berisi penerapan hasil penelitian dan atau pengembangan IPTEKS (inovasi). Abstract

Pineapple (Ananas comosus L. Merr) is a featured fruit commodity with the fourth largest production and second export in Indonesia. Jalan Cagak District is one of the centers of pineapple production but has decreased production by 38% from 2017 to 2018. The decline in production is allegedly due to low adoption of pineapple cultivation and the use of low quality seeds. One of the efforts to increase pineapple production through education activities on Production Operational Standard with the concept of Good Agriculture Practice and making a pineapple nursery demonstration plot using leaf cuttings as a pilot project for farmers. Education is provided in the form of outreach, technical guidance and socialization. The activity was conducted for pineapple farmers in Curugrendeng Village who were participants of the activity. Pineapple nursery demonstration plots using leaf cuttings planted on 12,5 m2 of land with a population of 1.961 planted cuttings.

Abstract

Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is one of horticulture plant for spices. Planting material is an important factor of garlic production but it has a problem such as tuber dormancy period that takes 4 months. There’s necessary to use some techniques to break the dormancy for the growth uniformity. This socialization is how important to uniforming the garlic seed growth. Participants were followed by garlic farmers in Tuwel and Rembul villages and field extension officers (PPL) in Bojong District. Several factor that affect the unformity of the seed growth are the dormancy hasn’t broken and low calcium (Ca) absorption. The storage (7 oC) for 2 months after harvesting can increase the emergence of shots (dormancy rupture) and increase the seed growth rate by 85,4%. Low Ca absorpstion can be resolved by appling calcite lime (CaCO3). Preparation of planting material can be done by soaking the garlic seeds overnight or by immersing the plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) treatment for 10-15 minutes.

Abstract

Small crab is one of the mainstay export commodities of Indonesian fisheries. Large crab production is followed by a large amount of crab waste. Small crab shell waste can have an impact on environmental pollution if not properly managed. Processing crab shell waste into a food product that has a sale value can be a solution for crab shell waste management. Shell processed products also have nutritional value. Small crab shell waste can be processed into various products such as paste, broth and crackers. Small crab paste with 25% palm sugar concentration is the best treatment because it produces a sweet taste that matches the thick texture and strong aroma of small crab. The use of filtrate as broth produces broth that is smooth and soluble in water. The appearance of the broth produced is white and clean. Small crab crackers with 15% broth powder concentration produce crackers with a small crab flavor. The texture and appearance produced are also no different from other commercial crackers. The simple manufacturing process is expected to increase the interest of the community in producing processed crab shell products.

Abstract

Education about the care of the first 1000 days of birth (1000 HPK) is important to familes, as the main capital in the delovpment of a prosperous family and the formation of quality resources. Nurture is a long process in the life of child and it starts form the prenatal period until the adulthood. This service activity aims to increase aims to increase target participation to be involved in family education, increase maternal knowledge related to affirmation of family functions and nurture for the first 1000 days of birth, and mothers have skliss related to growing hydroponic vegetables. Methods of family education activities are counseling and QnA. Family education activities has been implemented 7 times with 90 minutes per one meeting. Before the counseling, the target audience (mother who has a two-year-old baby) was given information concent and pre-test activities questionnaire. After being counseled, a post test was conducted with the same questions. The result of this activity showed considerable enthusiasm and community participation, increased maternal knowledge anout nurture of the first 1000 days of birth, and new skills related to houssehold waste utilization for hydroponic planting. The relevant stakeholders such as the family planning field officers (PLKB) Cadre and Posyandu Cadre are expected to cunduct routinely family education in Posyandu monthly activities, it also can increase the community productivity and economy with planting and farming.

Abstract

Food safety and quality are a human right for every human being, including food produced by the Home Industries. One of home industries in Mekarharja village is IRTP Pak Haji Maksum. This IRT makes traditional drinks in powder or liquid form, but no product has a marketing authorization yet. One of the appropriate marketing authorization for this IRTP is the PIRT distribution permit from Public Health Office. BPOM has established guidelines for Good Food Processing for IRT (CPPB-IRT). Observation in the production process at the IRT is done to compare the current real conditions with good conditions based on CPPB-IRT. The results of these observations are in the form of 1 minor finding, 3 serious findings, and 3 critical findings. The serious findings on this IRTP are related to facilities for hand washing, employee habits, and production documents. Critical findings on this IRTP are related to food safety education that has not been followed and does not yet have a food label. IRTP Pak Haji Maksum is not included in the category of IRTP that is eligible for PIRT because it is still at level IV in the IRTP classification based on CPPB-IRT findings.

Abstract

As many as 70% of the largest contribution of household waste is organic waste. One of the effective handling of organic waste is to process it into organic fertilizer. Organic fertilizers can be in the form of solids or liquids. The abundance of organic waste from household waste can be utilized, one of which is processed into liquid organic fertilizer. Kampung Belentuk has been active in protecting the environment such as making biopori holes and composting. The purpose of the devoted lecturer is to make Belentuk Village residents gain new knowledge in waste management, especially in the manufacture of liquid organicfertilizers. The materials used in making organic liquid fertilizer are vegetable waste, rice washing water, EM4, and sugar. The method used is to cut the remnants of vegetables, put rice water and sugar into a container. EM4 as a source of microorganisms is given as much as 10 cc per 10 liters of water. The solution is then stirred and allowed to stand and the results of the soaking will be seen within 2 weeks.

Abstract

Cikarawang Village is one of the villages located around the IPB Campus, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. Based on the potential of existing resources in the Village Cikarawang, there are important commodities to meet the need of life for the surrounding community. Agriculture in Cikarawang Village is dominated by cassava, sweet potato and guava plants. Waste management of crystal guava and sweet potato leaves has not been utilized optimally. This community service aims to utilize the abundant local potential in the manufacture of liquid fertilizer by pollination to increase the production of guava. The method used was counseling and demonstration of liquid fertilizer. The activity was carried out in Cikarawang Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency. Participants numbered 17 people consisting of village heads, chairmen of farmers and farmers. The activity was carried out with two sessions, namely the delivery of material and the practice of making liquid fertilizer. This community service activity from an economic perspective can increase farmers' income by maximizing production.

Abstract

The teacher is a science teacher with the main task of educating, teaching, guilding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students. One of the subjects that is considered complicated and difficult to convey to students is Mathematics. Mathematics is considered complicated both during the implementation of teaching and learning activities and when making documents because many formulas will be input and delivered to students. Mathematics is also considered as one of the boring subjects. This causes the teacher difficulties when delivering material to students. The LaTeX and Kahoot training activities are aimed at providing knowledge to high school Mathematics teachers about making interesting documents and Mathematics questions. The implementation of this training is the delivery of material and practice of making documents and Mathematics questions. Through this training it is expected to develop teacher is knowledge and skills on LaTeX and Kahoot applications and be able to apply in teaching and learning activities so as to improve teacher competency.

Abstract

The project aims to examine the ongoing process of community empowerment through the development of a tourism village including the form of community empowerment and the results of community empowerment carried out. The approach used in this study includes a qualitative method for assessing community characteristics and village government policies. Data collection was obtained through interviews and observations. The observations stated that several activities in the village could support the development of a tourist village in Sukawening Village, including rabbit farming, edamame cultivation, sandals, and cultural activities managed by the Sarapala team. Forms of community empowerment involve community participation starting from planning and implementing activities. The programs that have been carried out in the form of socialization of the development of tourism villages include socialization on marketing, water and health, inventory of village potentials in the framework of village spatial planning, and training in making biodiesel and soap from used cooking oil. Community empowerment through the development of a tourism village has implications for regional cultural resilience in the form of cultural strengthening, especially archery and some changes in social and environmental values.

Abstract

Eel fish (Anguilla bicolor) is the leading export commodity of Indonesian fisheries. New eel fish farming activities will be developed lately. The community, especially those in KUB, are interested in developing eel segmentation cultivation. But the problem is the availability of feed for glass eels, namely silk worms. Therefore, training on silkworm cultivation is important to be held. This activity was held at KUB Sidat Mandiri, Cidadap Village in November to December. Silk worm cultivation requires media with high organic content. Media that can be used for silk worm cultivation include animal waste, which has the advantage of a crude fiber protein content of 50% of the gross weight so that it is good to be used for fertilization in silk worm culture. Silk worm cultivation for glass eel feed in Cidadap Village using tofu waste animal waste fermented into fertilizer with a multilevel container system and recirculation can increase the productivity of silk worms and can guarantee the quantity and quality, for the sustainability of glass eel cultivation.
