Abstract

This research related to the implementation of Guided Inquiry LearningModel of dynamic electric of physics material at SMK. The purpose of this researchwere: 1) to describe the learning activities in the experimental class; 2) to analysethe effect of Guided Inquiry Learning Model on the students’ learning result; and 3)to describe the relationship between the activity and the achievement ofexperimental class. The type of this research was experimental research. Thesamples of this research were the students’ of 11th TKJ.1 as control class and 11thIL.2 as experimental class at SMKN 2 Jember.The Design of this research wasposttest-only control design. Moreover the data collection methods were; test,observation, documentation, and interviews. Additionally, the data analysed were;Independent-sample T-test (parametric test) or the Mann-Whitney test (nonparametrictest) as the comparison test, while Test-Product-Moment Correlation-Pearson as the correlation test. The first research result showed that the average oflearning activities in experimental class based on observation and documentationduring the learning process was 82.31%, active criteria. The largest percentage ofmotor-activities was 90.95% but the lowest oral-activities was 76.34%. Meanwhile,the second research result showed that there was a significant difference ofcognitive, psychomotor, and affective of the control and experimental class students’achievement. The Sig.(1-tailed) value gain was lower than α=0,05, that was 0.000(cognitive-Independent-Sample-T- test), 0.000 (psychomotor-Mann-Whitney-Test)and 0.012 (affective-Independent-Sample-T-test). So that the model of GuidedInquiry Learning had a significant effect on the students’ achievement in dynamicelectric of physics material at SMK (H0 rejected, Ha accepted ). Moreover the thirdresearch result showed the correlation coefficient value between the activity andachievement as 0.520, so there was a correlation between them. The criteria ofcorrelation was medium with positive direction. Sig.(2-tailed) value was 0.003 or <0.05, so there was a significant relationship between the activity and theachievement on the experimental class.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are assessing the effect of guided discovery learning model with LKS based on multirepresentation to the Senior High School student’s ability of physics verbal, images (VG) representations, and describing student learning activities. The type of this research is an experimental research. Population of the research was all student’s at SMA Negeri 1 Tapen Bondowoso. Physics VG representation is collected through test, and student learning activities is collected through observations and portofolio. The test results of experimental class and control class are analysed by independent sample t-test using SPSS version 22. The results of the analysis of independent sample t-test for the ability of verbal representations show the Sig. (One-tailed) was 0.000. The results of the analysis of independent sample t-test for the ability of pictorial representations show the Sig. (One-tailed) was 0.000. It can be concluded that guided discovery learning model based LKS based on multirepresentation significantly affect the SMA Negeri 1 Tapen Bondowoso student’s ability of physics VG. The score of student learning activities during learning process are using guided discovery learning model with LKS based on multirepresentation is 88%, it is included very active category.

Abstract

This study focuses on the effect of Problem Based Instruction learning model with Pictorial Riddle method. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of Problem Based Instruction learning model with Pictorial Riddle method on the result of student’s learning physics subject in high school and to describe the students’ skill of critical thinking of students by using Problem Based Instruction learning with Pictorial Riddle method on physics subject in high school. The kind of this study is experiment with a modified post-test only control group design. Sample of this study was students of class XI in SMAN Arjasa. Data were collected by observation, documentation, testing, and interviews. Data were analyzed by Independent Sample T-Test with SPSS 22 and the percentage of the students’ skill of critical thinking. The results of this study showed that the average of learning results of experimental class is 78.05 and the control class is 67.05. The analysis of data used Independent Sample T-Test, learning results are obtained sig.(2-tailed) of 0.000 or 0.000 ≤ 0.05. This study can be concluded that there is significant influence of Problem Based Instruction learning model with Pictorial Riddle method on the result of student’s learning physics subject in high school. The results of the analysis of the students’ skill of critical thinking are obtained an averrage achievement of all the indicators of 64.91% with the good level of mastery.

Abstract

Science process skills is a capability which purpose is to develop and apply students' knowledge in solving problems so that students are trained and able to understand a concept scientifically. This article aims was to identify students science process skills conducted through tests on the subject of simple current circuits. This study was conducted with 18 students as respondents. The instrument used is 2 problems with each question consisting of 4 points. The results showed that with a percentage of 54.24%. Of the 6 indicators contained in the skills of the science process, the average percentage of the highest indicator is on the plan indicator to test the hypothesis with a percentage of 72.56% and the lowest indicator is the result of experiments with a percentage of 39.77%. The results indicate that students are not accustomed to experimenting in the learning process at school.Kata kunci : Identifikasi, Keterampilan proses sains, Rangkaian arus sederhana

Abstract

The current study is based on the needs of human life that cannot be separated from the role of electricity. This is why the demand for electricity is getting increased, so it requires the construction of transmission channels, one of them is SUTT. Without realizing it, the channel emits magnetic field. The exposure to magnetic field generated by SUTT has extremely low frequency since the rate commonly used in Indonesia is 50 Hz. The purpose of the current study was to find out the distribution pattern of magnetic field radiation intensity below SUTT 150 kV and the influence of roof types to the decrease of ELF magnetic field intensity by SUTT 150 kV. The study design was field experiment using measuring devices of magnetic field with EMF-827. The results confirmed that the area under the phase wires had the greatest magnetic field intensity, that was almost 70 times bigger than that of the natural magnetic field intensity. Based on the data collection, the use of roof barrier did not effect to the decrease of the magnetic field intensity because the decrease had segnificantly occured at farther distance from the phase wires without using roof barriers. All the results of magnetic field intensity measurements was still below the limit allowed by WHO. The results of the current study can be used as new understanding for Indonesians, especially those who still live under the transmission line

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the influence of problem-based learning model with the three dimension media through the creativity of student’s thought ability and the student result in learning physics. The creativity, in this case, the ability to have a creative idea is needed to have an ability in problem solving and the student result in learning physics. However, in fact, the creativity of student’s thought ability is not complete maximal enough this research is experiment research. It conducted in SMAN 4 Jember. The data are collected by test, portofolio, observation, interview, and documentation. To examine the hypothesis, this research used independent sample t-test with SPSS 16 version. According to independent sample t-test analysis in the creativity of student’s thought, show that H0 is rejected, it mean that the creativity of student’s thought of experiment class is different with control class. The result of independent sample t-test analysis in the student result show that H0 is rejected, it mean that the student result of experiment class is different with control class. In conclussion, the problem-based learning model with three dimension media has an significance influential to the creativity of student’s thought ability and the student result in SMAN 4 Jember.

Abstract

The cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptoms is one model that can improve learning outcomes and developing science process skills of students in science subjects. This research aims to reviewing the difference in students learning outcomes that are taught using the cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptoms with the students taught using direct learning model that usually taught by a teacher in junior high school and describe the students learning science process skills after using the cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptom. This type of research is an experimental research conducted at the country junior high school 7 Jember. Source of data derived from the assessment by the observer, post-test, and filling the questionnaire. Based on the research that has been conducted, the obtained 1) t test assessment results obtained sig. 0.001 ≤0.05 so that Ha accepted and Ho rejected, it means there is a significant difference between the students taught by the cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptom with students taught using direct learning model commonly taught by teacher in junior high school 2) The avarage results of students learning science process skills in each indikator that is 90,33%. Abstract

The research focused on the influence of generative learning to students’s discuccion skill and students’s physics achievement. The purposes of this research are (1) to describe to students’s discuccion skill using generative learning model in learning physics, (2) to examine students’s physics achievement using generative learning model better than using direct instruction model in learning physic. The type of this research is experiment by using randomized post-test only control group design. Sample of the research are X MIPA 3 as an experiment class and X MIPA 4 as an control class. The techniques of data collection are observation, test, documentation, and interview. The techniques of data analysis using descriptive analysis and Independent Sample T-Test by SPSS version 20.. The result of the research are (1) average value students’s discussion skill using generative learning model is 4,2 (2) students’s physics achievement acquired of analytical results Independent-Sample T-test Sig. (1-tailed) of 0,001. The research can be concluded that (1) the students’s discussion skill using generative learning model is in good criteria, (2)the students’s physic achievement using generative learning model better than using direct instruction model in learning physic.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to know the validity of physics learning module contextual based with characterized stories and the efektiveness of the modul. This type of research is R and D which is development by Borg and Gall (1976). The result of the research was a physics learning modul contextual based with characterized stories which was worthy to use after being validized. The first validity step was doing expert validity. The result of it was 80,86% and can be categorized as valid, or can be used with revision. The second validity step was user validity, the result it was 81,33% and can be categorized as very valid or can be used without revision. The last step was audience validity based on the result of audience vallidity , it was gotten 81,08% which said the efectivity of the modul. The result from the audience validity can be categorized as very efective, and worthy to use in teaching and learning process. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that physics learning module contextual based with characterized stories can use as the interesting teaching materials.

Abstract

The research focused on the assembling of Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique is students’ physics achievement and students’ activity. The purposes of this research are (1) to examine the difference achievement of using Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique than Conventional models on learning physics, (2) to describe students’ activity using Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique model in learning physic. The type of this research is experiment by using post-test only control group design. Sample of the research are X MIA 1 as an experiment class and X MIPA 2 as an control class.The techniques of data collection are observation, test,documentation, interview and portofolio. The techniques of data analysis using descriptive analysis and Independent Sample T-Test by SPSS 16 version. The result of the research are (1) students’ physics achievement acquired of analytical results Independent-Sample T-test Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,038, (2)average value students’ science activity is 83,9%. The research can be concluded that (1) there are significant difference of achievement of using Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique than Conventional models on learning physics, (2) the student activity is in good criteria.
