Abstract

Sometimes in life it is easy for people to blame others, any circumstances or objects are easy to blame. Envy, jealousy, suspicious are traits that are currently often seen in social phenomena. 2022 as a year of moderation is considered a utopian ideal for some, and others are optimistic about achieving it. The problem is what causes us to be pessimistic or optimistic about achieving it? In this study, I use a reflective study to look at the basis of Indonesian human life by reflecting on the Encounter of Hinduism in Penghayatan Kebatinan in Javanese Culture. People who have been able to find the true essence in themselves then that person will get salvation. When people have found themselves, people will accept others. By being able to accept others, then the hope of tolerance can be realized. The life history of the Javanese is a witness to how the moderation movement as an embodiment of national dignity has become a basis that has been lived for a long time. The moderation movement is something that is far and away from Indonesia. From this narrative and writing, it can be seen that moderation is a form of dignity and the breath of national life. Openness to external elements without authenticity is a manifestation of the dignity of Life. The ideal of maintaining harmony is the basic philosophy of Javanese people in living life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine several supporting factors as well as inhibiting communication behavior in Candikuning Village in maintaining tolerance, how communication behavior and to determine the implications of the communication behavior of Hindu and Muslim communities in Candikuning Village in maintaining tolerance. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were Hindu and Muslim communities in the village of Candikuning. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, documentation, and Islam in Candikuning to maintain tolerance supported by historical factors, language, familial attitudes, polite attitudes, and respect for differences. The problems that occur in building tolerance between Hindus and Muslims occur when someone changes religions when they are getting married, there are residents who are not native to Candikuning Village who try to invite people to change beliefs and the language factor. The communication behavior of the Hindu and Muslim communities in Candikuning Village cannot be separated from interpersonal communication activities. Every person's response to a stimulus is always manifested in the form of real or open action, through language, discussion, and dialogue. The nonverbal behavior of the community in Candikuning Village is based on observations using body language and objects. The implications that occur from the communication behavior of the Hindu and Muslim communities in Candikuning Village are the realization of tolerance through the adaptation of community interactions, the reactivation of religious communication forums, and further strengthening of social control.

Abstract

The uniting of two cultures of different backgrounds which is Hinduism and Islamic in Angantiga Village is really unique. Cultural acculturation between Hindus and Moslems created a tradition that is used as guidance in strengthening intercultural tolerance to make harmony between religious believers. The problem statements of this research are: 1) How is intercultural communication between Hindus and Muslims in Angantiga Village?, 2) What are the factors of intercultural communication in building Hindu-Muslim harmony in the Angantiga village?, 3) How is the feedback of intercultural communication between Hindus and Muslims in building harmony in Angantiga village? To discover the solution to the problems stated above, the writer uses three theories, namely: Interpersonal communication theory is used in answering the first problem statement which is the intercultural communication between Hindus and Muslims in Angantiga Village, and intercultural communication theory is used to answer the second problem statement which is the factors of intercultural communication in building Hindu-Muslim harmony in the Angantiga village and Intercultural Face Negotiation theory is used to answer the feedback of intercultural communication between Hindus and Muslims in building harmony in Angantiga village. The results of this study are 1) Intercultural communication consisting of social identification, material culture, the role of relations, language, cultural stability, and beliefs and values. 2) Intercultural communication factors consisting of internal factors, external factors, and relations factors 3) Intercultural communication feedback consisting of cognitive feedback, effective feedback, and behavioral feedback

Abstract

The purpose of this correlational quantitative research is to determine the exposure impact of Dharma Wacana Bali TV show (X) with the indicators of broadcasting frequency, duration and attention on the understanding people about Hinduism knowledge with the indicator of three Hindu religion framework: Tattwa, Susila and upacara. The data were collected using questionnaire with 100 respondents of Bali Selatan area. After instrument test of variable X that is exposure Dharma Wacana Bali TV show which consists of 8 questions and variable Y that is the understanding people about Hinduism knowledge which consists of 20 questions using Corrected Item-Total Correlation to 20 samples, it can be concluded that all questionnaires are valid. Likewise reliability test using Alpha Cronbach technique, both variables are reliable. So that, further testing can be done. The data were processed and analyzed using descriptive and correlations with Software IBM SPSS V.25.0 for Windows. Descriptive hypothesis testing results show that the exposure of Dharma Wacana Bali TV Shows from the sample calculation found an average of 69.69% of the expected. The results of testing the descriptive hypothesis of the understanding people about Hinduism knowledge in South Bali from sample calculations found an average of 77.74% of what was expected. Thus the third hypothesis is that there is a significant influence of the exposure of Dharma Wacana Bali TV show on the understanding people about Hinduism knowledge in South Bali.

Abstract

The Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram, as an organization engaged in the spiritual and educational fields, was reported negatively, causing its image to deteriorate. This makes people familiar with the Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram from the negative side, but when the news was slowly stopped by the Marketing Public Relations of the Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram by always providing information about activities at the ashram to the public through newspapers and social media. This research focuses on the discussion of (1) Public perceptions of the Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram (2) Marketing public relations strategy of Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram in maintaining a positive image of the organization (3) Implications of public relations marketing strategy for the image building of Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram. The theory used in analyzing are: Consumer Behavior Theory, and Integrated Marketing Communication Theory. This research uses observation methods, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, document studies, and documentation studies. This research finds first, people's perceptions about the Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram based on the results of questionnaire data taken from 100 respondents via google form using several predetermined indicators, obtained the average respondent's answer data reached 4.15 so it is classified as good criteria. Secondly, Ashram Gandhi Puri Sevagram's marketing strategy of public relations in maintaining a positive image of the organization has been carried out using a combination of marketing communications through advertising, events and community networks. Third, the implications of the marketing public relations strategy for building the image of the Gandhi Puri Sevagram Ashram can make the ashram better known, the ashram gets the opportunity to serve the community in various fields and the ashram gets a lot of scholarships and groceries from donors.

Abstract

Children have different characters and developments. This study aims to find out why the learning process at Bina Putra Candikuning Kindergarten is not going well, then how is the leadership style of Hindu religious teachers based on interactive communication in Bina Putra Candikuning Kindergarten in learning and the implications of the leadership style of Hindu religious teachers based on interactive communication. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were Hindu religious teachers at TK Bina Putra Candikuning. This study uses methods for data collection in the form of observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results showed that educational management at Bina Putra Candikuning Kindergarten experienced obstacles faced by Hindu religious teachers in implementing an interactive communication-based leadership style. There are several obstacles experienced, namely the communication of teachers, students and the ability to use media. The leadership style of Hindu religious teachers based on interactive communication in learning at TK Bina Putra Candikuning is a democratic leader style. The leadership style of Hindu religious teachers at Bina Putra Kindergarten is implemented in the learning of discipline and harmony. The implications of the leadership style of the Hindu religious teacher based on interactive communication in learning at Bina Putra Candikuning Kindergarten are the implementation of interactive communication in learning, the formation of teacher and student communication through the media, and the achievement of student achievement.

Abstract

Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics Bali Province in 2020 there was a decrease in the number of room occupancy in 5-star hotels, especially in Badung Regency. This is a challenge for a new five-star hotel that was established in 2015, namely the Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa. To increase customer visits, an interpersonal communication strategy is needed to attract customer interest and get feedback from customers. There are three problems in this research as follows: (1) How interpersonal sales and marketing communication strategies in attracting customers of Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa; (2) How is Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa customer feedback; (3) What are the advantages and disadvantages of sales and marketing of Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa. Theories used are communication planning theory, uncertainty reduction theory, and marketing communication theory. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of presenting data using qualitative descriptive. The results of this research are the interpersonal communication strategy of sales marketing, the need to determine goals, namely increasing visits, by planning and preparing offers such as paying attention to language selection, to offer products using media such as telephone, email, and social media to find customers. Reducing uncertainty for customers, sales marketing applies passive, active, and interactive strategies so that when a customer has visited the hotel, the hotel gets feedback through reviews available on the Website and online services. To support the increase in customers, marketing gives the offers by advertising, sales promotion, public relations and publicity, and personal selling. The advantages of this marketing are that it has detailed and communicative services and the weakness is in several offer still expensive and less negotiable offers

Abstract

The management of Alas Kedaton tourism object is managed by the village so that the promotion has not been maximized, within five years the visitors of the archipelago have decreased while foreign visitors have experienced fluctuations, currently promotions only use brochures, as well as the lack of the government's role in marketing and infrastructure, issues that must be studied 1) what is the form of marketing communication for Alas Kedaton tourism object in Kukuh Village, Marga, Tabanan? 2) how can a marketing communication strategy be used to increase visitors? 3) what are the implications of integrated marketing communication (IMC) and the SOSTAC model. The results of the study found that the manager of Alas Kedaton tourism object must 1) Horizontal coordination between stakeholders is not optimal. Each stakeholder is still focused on his own business, (2) communication that focuses on the marketing mix has not been implemented, and (3) to establish good communication with the government regarding infrastructure development and promotion and to take advantage of village proximity. The heads of clans together with the government in an effort to help oversee information, submit proposals and promotions through online media. The implications of the Alas Kedaton tourism object marketing communication strategy in seeking communication effectiveness by considering the influence of communication include: 1) cognitive, namely eliminating ambiguity, forming attitudes and convincing the public about the products, media to be used in advertising planning. 2) affective to find feelings, attitudes, behaviors, and emotions in buying products offered by managers of Alas Kedaton tourism object. 3) behavior to determine intention or behavior in buying products offered at Alas Kedaton tourist attractions.Â

Abstract

Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti staging in Gubug Village, Tabanan District is a dance performance that uses the symbol of a form of Barong Landung or what is called Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti. The issues to be discussed include: (1) What is the process of staging Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti in Gubug Village, Tabanan District, Tabanan ? (2) What elements of communication are contained in the performance of Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti in Gubug Village, Tabanan District, Tabanan Regency? (3) What are the communication implications arising in the performance of JroGedePanembahanSakti in Gubug Village, Tabanan District, Tabanan Regency? Analyze the problem formulation : Aesthetic by Djelantik, Interersonal Communication by Burhan Bungin, and The Dependency Theory of Mass Communication Effects by Ardianto. The methods used to collect data are: observation, interviews, documentation and literature.      The results of the study show that (1) the process of implementing Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti in Gubug Village, Tabanan District, Tabanan Regency, namely: History of Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti where it began during Majapahit government and the entry of other religions that were not Hindu in Majapahit and at that time Bhatara Dalem Majapahit left Majapahit, the form of prerai, gambelan used, clothing, offerings and the process of staging Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti, at the initial stage of preparation, implementation and closing stages. (2) The elements of communication contained in the performance of Jro Gede Panembahan Sakri in the village of Gubug, namely: Communications,  messages, media, communicants, and feedback, (3) Implications of Communication in the Staging of Jro Gede Panembahan Sakti in Gubug Village, namely: knowledge (knowledge about staging, and learning of Hinduism), Tri Hita Karana implications and religious implication.

Abstract

In the midst of budget constraints, the village head of Taro in 2019 has achieved a lot of success in his services to the community in the village of Taro. Such as, through the road infrastructure program can reduce unemployment and poverty, online population administration programs, rural tourism development programs that obtain champions of national hope, awards Kalpataru and the Women's Farmers Group Program (KWT) won first place in the province. The method used in data collection is observation or observation by researchers, researcher interviews with respondents, documentation that is by collecting writings, photos of research sites and literature, especially those in the literature of the Hindu Dharma Negeri Denpasar State Institute. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive qualitative which emphasizes the meaning of the phenomena that arise with content analysis. This analysis emphasizes the importance of messages in verbal and nonverbal communication. A qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach, to understand political communication carried out by the village head of Taro. Â Based on the results of research conducted, the Taro village head in his leadership used a political communication strategy through the implementation of the vision and mission of the Taro village government with a work program. Collaboration that has been carried out with government agencies, customs, community groups, and mass media and the use of symbols. The function of political communication is carried out by providing information forming networks and providing solutions. The implications of the political communication of the village head can improve the welfare of the community and the progress of the Taro village.
