Abstract

One kind of education that has strategic value to empowerment effort is through law education. The method is givingknowledge with information; education; training and motivation. formal law formal education can form and also placing woman on “link andmatch” concept, in the meaning that human resources determine its existence, as embodiment of Section 27 article (2) UUD 1945. Throughthis concept, we hope women can participate as formulator of law rule and development, so we can reform women image that have beenformed by social and cultural structure of society. Abstract

Primary mission of Islam teaching are realizing prosperity to human being and liberating them fromall form of anarchy and injustice. Therefore, we need to reevaluate and questioning interpretation to Islamicteaching that inappropriate with justice and human rights values, example marginalizing women and genderinequality. Failure to interpreting al-Qur’an and Hadis will result discriminative woman fikih. It’s because patriarchyand misogynist understanding because authoritarianism phenomena, reader arbitrary reading to religious texts,mainly by puritans. There’s several thing to do to appropriating religious interpretation with humanity: first,interaction between writer, texts, and reader; second, consideration to normative and historic aspect, withhermeneutic nuance; third, contextual, comprehensive, and historic reading, also interpretation with holistic andinductive method

Abstract

Conflict in international politic is a study’s field related with Peace and Conflict Studies. Conflict Study became critical if we want to analyze many conflicts in many parts of the world nowadays, where million civilian, mainly women and children become victim of conflict violence. Woman Position at political domain, national or international become one study mainstream, but studies in this field (international conflict) still rare. This article want to review studies about conflict and peace, gender position in Politic/International (relation) studies, also offers Israel-Palestine conflict at the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009 as study’s focus example.

Abstract

there’s no such language that free from gender bias. Arabic language as Islamic religion holy book’s language has createdgender bias in all utilizing fiil (verb) and isim (noun), especially sura at an-Nisa’. gender bias verse at sura an-Nisa’ analyzed with semantictheory namely interpreting all character, word, and sentence that related with gender bias, chronologically and historically so we obtainunderstanding contextual meaning, not textual meaning. therefore, gender bias meaning at sura an-Nisa’ is not focused only on biologicalmeaning, namely only mudzakar (masculine) or muannats (feminine) but alsorelated with language’s soscial culture aspect that developedby its speaker community.

Abstract

Islam needs critical studies to terminate bias and domination in religious interpretation. It’s including a collective process that combines study, investigation, social analysis, education, and action to investigate woman issues. We also have to give encouragement and opportunity to women to develop religious teaching interpretation that not bias to man. The goal is creating equality and radical change, with women as its core change. With this, it’s possible to cultivate critical consciousness to women gender transformation.

Abstract

Background of this research is a phenomenon in Indonesian literary on reformation era, namely booming literary art thatinvestigate and discuss body and sexuality. This research will reveal factors that influence that phenomenon. With descriptive method, wecollect data by library research and interview, and data processing with literary Sociology approach. Abstract

In the context of nation-state, a group of society who embrance Islam can be called as a minority, for they are little innumber. They sometimes meet some unintended problems like politically marginalized, difficult to integrate, backward education, economy,a place for praying, permitted food and so on. The problem usually come from prejudice feeling or negative thinking from in the majority.But, the condition does not happen in Australia, even women are free to choose their proffesion. Interestingly, women have a better destinythan men. There are actually, many factors that cause the minority, i.g.; refugees, guestworkers, exiled, migrant, convertion and ethnicreligion cleansing.
