This study also examines thriving at work as a mediating variable in a proactive relationship to employee creativity. The application of Proactive personality behavior reflects how individuals make changes to find solutions. Data were collected from 108 banking employees. Data analysis used the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The findings reveal that a proactive personality can improve both thriving at work and creativity. Therefore, it is important to support the development of a proactive personality. Moreover, organizations will also benefit from thriving in the workplace to enhance creative behavior by supporting vitality and learning within the organization.

Abstract

The pandemic instigated eighty percent of world’s children and youth to be out of school posing management challenges among school leaders. This study sought to determine the extent of management challenges and the level of work passion of school instructional leaders (SILs) in the province of Capiz under the new framework and plan of action during the school year 2020-2021. The descriptive survey correlational research design and stratified sampling were used. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to gather data from 222 SILs in the province of Capiz as respondents. The statistical tools used to analyze and interpret data were frequency count, percentage, mean, t-test, Analysis of Variance and Pearson r. The level of significance was set at 0.05 alpha. The results revealed that SILs were challenged in terms of management and were remarkably passionate in their work. The extent of management challenges and the level of work passion of school instructional leaders varied in educational qualification and length of service. Demographic profile as to sex, age, and school category did not affect the extent of management challenges and the level of work passion of SILs. Furthermore, the extent of management challenges was significantly related to the level of work passion of the SILs.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of human resource management (HRM) practices (i.e., training and pay satisfaction) on turnover intentions mediated by work engagement among employees in the food & beverage industry in Indonesia. Based on National Labor Force Survey in February 2021, the accommodation, the food & beverage industry is the fourth largest contributor to employment in Indonesia, which is 6.99%. This study uses a multidimensional approach for HRM practices, work engagement, and turnover intention. This approach shows how HRM practices affect the formation of work engagement. Data were collected through online questionnaires and analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. Findings revealed that training satisfaction and pay satisfaction have a significant positive impact on work engagement, and pay satisfaction has a negative impact on turnover intention. Unexpectedly, training satisfaction has a positive impact on turnover intention. However, this study did not find sufficient evidence for the direct impact of work engagement on turnover intention and the effect of training and pay satisfaction on turnover intention mediated by work engagement. Therefore, employees who are satisfied with their training and pay schemes will engage with their work and tend not to leave their jobs. Further study may apply more respondents, as well as investigates other variables of HRM practices examined. The results of this study can be used to enrich existing knowledge and assist company management in formulating HRM strategies to create work engagement among employees.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced restaurants to adopt contactless self-service technology to address customers' level of vulnerability to COVID-19. This study examines important behavioral and user acceptance of self-service technology (SST) variables based on the Unified Theory of Use and Acceptance of Technology (UTAUT) model and enhanced to incorporate perceived risk and moderating effects of perceived vulnerability to COVID-19. The casual dining restaurants were chosen as the context of the study as this industry usually relies more on personal services than on SST, so the impact of environmental change can be seen more clearly. A questionnaire survey was created to gather empirical data about the usage of self-service technology through online data collection, and a quantitative method was adopted for data analysis. A structural analysis was conducted with the Partial Least Squares method to test the hypothetical relationship between the constructs proposed in the conceptual model. The contribution of this study is to analyze the use of technology in casual restaurant service settings in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide an understanding of SST usage and practical implications for service development in the casual restaurants industry.

While, Indonesian inflation and USD to IDR exchange rate, gave significant impact on IDX Composite, consecutively positively and negatively. Partial test indicated that COVID-19 monthly cases in Indonesia did not impact both IDX Composite and IDXFINCANCE. In addition, Indonesian inflation and USD to IDR exchange rate also did not impact IDXFINANCE.  Overall test illustrated that all of the mentioned macroeconomics variables impacted both IDX Composite and IDXFINANCE. This research is expected to help investors and traders in making futures investment decision.

Online gaming has become a popular form of electronic entertainment for people around the world. However, the growing reputation of online gambling can lead to addiction in certain situations. This is a topic that has received a lot of attention. The purpose of this research is to bring the meaning of psychological ownership as a joint mediator of loneliness, depression, and psychological ownership closer to video game addiction (OGA). Using the partial least squares structural equation modeling technique, we tested the survey model for 154 valid responses from a Google Forms survey. Searches show that depression and ideal self-image are undoubtedly related to the psychological responsibility of online game addiction. The curvilinear relationship between psychological ownership and OGA means that higher psychological ownership is associated with better OGA. This study provides practical advice and solutions to address the OGA's growing concern. In the first place, their environment must encourage them to participate in external activities consisting of sports tournaments and offline cosplay video games to help them overcome loneliness and take ideal images, not 2d, families should know that OGA exists in their homes. OGA could be the way they deal with depression. In addition, this is the first study to investigate the horrifying aspects of a gambling organization that lends out spiritual property to keep players hooked on the game.
