Abstract

Nyangku was raised from the social issue of the Muslim community on the unfounded belief of the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW event, a traditional nyangku ceremony in Panjalu Village. The nyangku ceremony has the activity of washing heirlooms that are considered sacred, such as the keris weapon which is believed to be a hereditary relic of the guardians who spread Islam in Indonesia. The traditional nyangku ceremony makes the Muslim community confused because of the attachment of this ceremony to objects that can refer to the act of associating partners with Allah SWT. The nyangku ritual looks like glorifying the keris, the washing water of the keris is also taken by the residents because it is believed to have mystical powers to cure various diseases. In Islam, the law of abusing an object as a talisman (amulet) is haram and is an act of polytheism. The dispute over the meaning of the objectives in the Nyangku traditional ceremony has become a big question mark for the diverse Muslim community over the Nyangku traditional ceremony from Panjalu Village. Is it really an act of shirk and is preserved in the context of migusti or just as a tribute to the ancestors and is a form of cultural preservation in the context of mupusti? What are the views of people from the side who took part in carrying out the Nyangku custom and the views of figures who disagree with the Nyangku traditional ceremony which was held to coincide with the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, in commemorating the birthday of the Prophet. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used in collecting all research data through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. This study found the existence of a community that still strongly maintains customs in the form of a purification ceremony for heirlooms called Nyangku. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for further research and for policy makers in relation to cultural preservation. The implications of this research are the main data in making a documentary film entitled Yanko.

Abstract

As we know, several factors that weigh a person's well-being in any field of work are very important and needed. For example, things that can affect the poverty and welfare of coastal communities, because the low income of fishermen is still a factor causing the lack of welfare of the fishing community in their work. The lack of openness of insight and an active and creative mindset in improving a resource is still not enforced, so this results in a lack of environmental economic value and income. This study describes the condition of the community in Bajomulyo village, Juwana district. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data obtained from the process of observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. This study found that there was a competition in the fishing business between those who used a broker and those who did not use a broker. So because of this, there is an income gap between those who use brokers and those who don't. The implications of this research can be a reference for the fisheries and marine service in determining and providing policies on the process of buying and selling flying fish, especially in Bajomulyo village, Juwana district. All of this research data is the main data in making documentary films.

The results showed that employees, the community, and traders felt a very significant impact from the process of change (development) of the Bandung Zoo coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic. The impact that is felt through the efforts to develop this zoo arises because of the lack of clear communication between the Bandung Zoo and other related subjects.

Abstract

Cingcowong is a ritual to summon rain from Luragung Landeuh Village, Kuningan, West Java. The ritual makes the doll as an intermediary asking for rain which later the doll will be possessed by a spirit while chanting a spell asking for rain, and a few moments later it will rain. Many responses were made by several parties related to the existence of this ritual because it was considered outside the boundaries of religious teachings, so that in the end the Cingcowong ritual began to lose its sacred value and changed its function into an art performance. Because of this negative response, many parties also want to preserve this cultural heritage so that it does not become extinct by innovating new arts adapted from the Cingcowong ritual. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach, through interviews with selected informants, observations, documentation and literature studies all obtained. This study found that the Cingcowong ritual ceremony is still ongoing today and there is a shift in values other than the ceremonial ritual to become a tourist attraction. The implications of this research as the main data in making a documentary.

Abstract

This research describes the meeting between visual and aural arts in film. Does the meeting affect all aspects of the psychology of the audience. Music as an aural art gives a feeling of being alive in the body of the audience. When a viewer feels horror when watching a horror film, when the audience feels a heroic feeling when seeing a patriotic scene, it is interesting to study how music plays a major role in expressing visuals and influencing the audience. The categories of diagetic and non-diagetic sounds in films are sounds that the audience sometimes doesn't realize that they have a big influence on the psychology of the audience. The question that needs to be answered is the meeting between visual and aural art in the film, why does it have an impact. A qualitative method with a literature study approach was carried out to obtain data in answering research questions. Through literature study of various scientific writings, data were collected to find out the truth. This study found that music has an important role to enter into the world of film. Music has a function in integrating the audience's subconscious in seeing images. Music enters the audience's feelings which then gives an influence on behavior as a result of the audience's own knowledge of the music they listen to. Music influences the audience more in terms of expression. The results of this study can be used as a reference for further research to explore the various influences of music in films for various disciplines. It is also important for filmmakers to consider story narratives as the main reference for incorporating music into films.

Abstract

Human life and activities in this era of globalization are increasingly modern and bound by technology.  The fintech concept itself is an adjustment to advances in digital technology in the financial sector, especially in the banking world.  Financial technology is an innovation related to financial services and technology, in which there are new applications, processes, products or models that aim to facilitate the community.  One form of fintech is Peer to peer lending, which is an information technology-based money-borrowing service between the Recipient and the Lender, which is also known as an online loan or abbreviated as lender.  Peer to peer lending services can be accessed by the public through applications quickly, anytime and anywhere.  The convenience in online loans also poses a big risk, where there are many illegal online loan service providers with the characteristics of easy loan application requirements, aggressive marketing methods, applying short loan tenors, not having clear interest calculation rules and  usually charge higher interest rates above 0.8% per day, billing procedures using threats and violence that deviate from legal and humanitarian norms, as well as a code of ethics as conveyed by AFPI.  the loan application has a system structure, where every illegal loan application has a parent, namely a legal loan application.  One parent can have 20 to 40 child applications.  Online loan applications can also access user data and misuse it, where when a debtor borrows money in a parent application, there will be another disbursement of funds in another child application using the borrower's data without the borrower knowing.

Abstract

Music has become one of the most entertaining forms of entertainment. This is because music is very easy to digest. In addition to entertainment, music can also be a source of life for musicians. Some think that music is a necessity in their life. Then there is independent music which is the main reason for this research. Their struggle in life and making their work is very interesting to study. This is because independent music is music that is different from the industry which already has a luxury in music. Independent music carries out every process in making its work independently without any help from the industry. An example of independent music struggles studied here is the process of how they make music in simplicity. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analytic approach, all data is generated through a process of observation, interviews, documentation studies and literatures to produce data that can be justified academically. This data is journalism data plus as a term for documentary films which are intended to compose a script which is then realized in making a documentary. This study found the term room pop which means the process of making music in the room. Room pop is a concept that helps indie musicians who don't have the luxury of making music into something they can do. This is because room pop does not rely on professional tools to make music. Enough with makeshift tools and adequate computers, musical works can be made. The implications of this research as the main data in making a documentary.
