Abstract

This study describes the Palu-koro fault and the Lembang fault in relation to messages that have existed since ancient times. This message is in the form of a topomini that warns about disaster mitigation in areas that are prohibited from being inhabited. The message of the past is local wisdom as a consideration in making policies along with the results of research by experts. The purpose of this study is to reveal the message of local wisdom that is stored behind works of art and literature and then made a documentary film as a media for mitigating literacy for the people of Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of this study can summarize the events that have happened to the city of Palu due to the Koro hammer fault movement which then created an earthquake and tsunami and claimed a large number of victims. Art and literature can be collected again as messages from the past for media literacy for today's modern society. The implication of this research should be one of the findings that can oversee government policy in granting building permits in disaster-prone areas. Disaster mitigation should also be carried out by involving local wisdom as the main source in analyzing policies.

Abstract

Each country has a different culture with its own uniqueness. Each country also has its own way of maintaining its culture, either through education, festivals, formal or informal education, etc. However, in practice many countries have difficulties. Therefore, several countries maintain their culture through one of the arts fields, one of which is the film Raya The Last Dragon. Film Raya and The Last Dragon is a film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film was directed by Don Hall and Calos Lopes Estrada and the screenplay was written by Qui Nguyen and Adele Lim. This film tells the story of a female warrior named Raya who lives with animals as well as a means of transportation named Tuktuk in a prosperous  land, until finally becoming a dystopia world. In this film there are scenes that show several cultures in Southeast Asia. Thus, researchers are interested in re-representing and describing the culture of Southeast Asia to be conveyed in the film. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, based on the philosophy of postpositivism, which is used to examine the condition of natural objects. From the results of this study, researchers can conclude that the film Raya and The Last Dragon presents the country of Kumandra which characterizes cultures in Southeast Asia. The purpose of this film is to show unity in differences, accept each other and coexist in many differences.

Abstract

Nyangku was raised from the social issue of the Muslim community on the unfounded belief of the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW event, a traditional nyangku ceremony in Panjalu Village. The nyangku ceremony has the activity of washing heirlooms that are considered sacred, such as the keris weapon which is believed to be a hereditary relic of the guardians who spread Islam in Indonesia. The traditional nyangku ceremony makes the Muslim community confused because of the attachment of this ceremony to objects that can refer to the act of associating partners with Allah SWT. The nyangku ritual looks like glorifying the keris, the washing water of the keris is also taken by the residents because it is believed to have mystical powers to cure various diseases. In Islam, the law of abusing an object as a talisman (amulet) is haram and is an act of polytheism. The dispute over the meaning of the objectives in the Nyangku traditional ceremony has become a big question mark for the diverse Muslim community over the Nyangku traditional ceremony from Panjalu Village. Is it really an act of shirk and is preserved in the context of migusti or just as a tribute to the ancestors and is a form of cultural preservation in the context of mupusti? What are the views of people from the side who took part in carrying out the Nyangku custom and the views of figures who disagree with the Nyangku traditional ceremony which was held to coincide with the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, in commemorating the birthday of the Prophet. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used in collecting all research data through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. This study found the existence of a community that still strongly maintains customs in the form of a purification ceremony for heirlooms called Nyangku. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for further research and for policy makers in relation to cultural preservation. The implications of this research are the main data in making a documentary film entitled Yanko.

Abstract

As we know, several factors that weigh a person's well-being in any field of work are very important and needed. For example, things that can affect the poverty and welfare of coastal communities, because the low income of fishermen is still a factor causing the lack of welfare of the fishing community in their work. The lack of openness of insight and an active and creative mindset in improving a resource is still not enforced, so this results in a lack of environmental economic value and income. This study describes the condition of the community in Bajomulyo village, Juwana district. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data obtained from the process of observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. This study found that there was a competition in the fishing business between those who used a broker and those who did not use a broker.
