Abstract

This study aimed to identify the students’ thinking process in solving problems while learning the heat material. Applying metacognitive strategies with group investigation methods. Metacognition is defined as an individual's ability to reflect, understand, and control their own thoughts and acts. Therefore, metacognition strategy is a guide to solve problems by considering several alternative solutions. The steps outlined in a journal students' thinking. The students thinking process were observed from of the students' answers in the journal students' thinking. In a the journal students' thinking raised the problem which need to be solved. The students were answering the problem by using basic ability with the results 53.85% of students answered incorrectly as well as the reason, and 46.15% of students answered correctly with specifications of 5.13% were answered with appropriate reasons, and 41.02% were answered with the varied and unsuitable reason. Furthermore, students were given alternative solutions such as Internet browsing and group discussions, so that 82.05% of students change the answers of the problems, especially changing the reasons and 17.95% remained the answer. After that the students were given another alternative solutions in the form of experiments, so the students considered the most appropriate answer from alternatives given. At the end, the students' answers are found 71.79% of students choose an alternative to the answer of the experiment, 17.95% of students responded with answers from the internet, and 10.25% students answer without mentioning the reason. This finding indicates the thinking process of students in solving problems. The use of this strategy makes students think to consider alternative solutions to get a proper solution of the problem. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan mahasiswa dalam matakuliah Pendahuluan Fisika Nuklir dengan indikator adalah soft skill mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang diukur dalam ranah kognitif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah action research. Selain peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa, penelitian ini diharapkan juga mendapatkan model pembelajaran kolaboratif (collaborative learning) yang efektif digunakan dalam perkuliahan Pendahuluan Fisika Nuklir di Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester 104 yaitu Februari – Juni 2016, aktivitas penelitian mulai bulan Februari sampai dengan bulan April 2016 dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika semester 6 sebanyak 2 kelas. Hasil yang didapat direncakan dilakukan selama 6 siklus tindakan tetapi model kolaboratif yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian didapat di akhir siklus ke 4, sehingga siklus ke 5 dan 6 dilakukan pemantapan model yang didapat. Hasil akhir penelitian didapat bahwa terbentuk soft skill mahasiswa dalama proses pembelajaran dan didapatnya hasil pembelajaran sesuai dengan harapan.Hasil akhir matakuliah ini memberikan rata-rata nilai mahasiswa 3,70 (dalam skala 4) yang meningkat tahun 2010/2011 (capaian tertinggi) yang rata-ratanya 3,25, sedangkan 2014/2015 rata-ratanya 2,76. Abstract

This research aims to develop a set of practical work for 11th grade Senior High School at sub light refraction material. The method of the research is R & D (Research and Development) of Borg and Gall which is limited to four developmental stages: 1. Preliminary study, 2. Product development, 3. Validation and Product Revision, 4. Products trials. This research was conducted from January to May 2016 in FMIPA’s Physics Laboratory of State University of Jakarta. Set refraction of light has been through validity test involving matter experts that consist of physics lecturer and physics education lecturer with the percentage 95.01% according to matter experts, 94.14% according to media expert. The field test of this set conducted to 63 Senior High School students and three physics teachers at SMAN 58 Jakarta with the percentage of achievement 88.45% according to physics teacher and 80.58% according to Senior High School students. The results of the study showed the bent ray that pass through two different mediums and the angle deviation of light that used for determining the index refractions which passed by light using the Snellius’s equation. Based on this research, it can be summarized that the development of set refraction is useful for material physics at senior high school. Keywords: Set of Refraction ,Refractions, Index Refractions

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of practical tool viscometer to measure the viscosity of the fluid using the method ball free fall to utilize hall effect sensor UGN3503 as detection sensor iron ball as it passes through the fluid and causes the magnetic field of the sensor is changed because the sensor is blocked by a magnetic iron ball, the magnitude magnetic field strength by a hall effect sensor changed into electrical quantities such as voltage output. The voltage generated is to be processed and recorded as the travel time by the microcontroller Atmega8. The method used is the method of Research and Development with the model design using ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The steps in the development of practical tools viscometer is analysis, the initial product design, develop products, revisions and enhancements, implementation and evaluation. Retrieval of data validation using instruments such as questionnaires to matter experts, media experts and teachers. Viscosity value is determined by measuring the travel time of the ball, the density of ball and fluid, and the distance of the ball. The results of field trials small scale with research subjects 5 high school students (100%) it was concluded that the development practical tool viscometer method ball free fall based hall effect sensor UGN3503 on type of fluid glycerin and oil SAE 40 can be used as a medium of learning physics so as to facilitate students in understanding the concept of viscosity. Abstract

The purpose of this research is the development of a worksheet based on the inqury modified for undergraduate students. The methodology of this research is the development of research and literature review.The development model used in this study is the Borg and Gall which comprises: a preliminary study, planning model development, validation, evaluation, revision and implementation. The instrument used in this study is a questionnare. Validation is done by physics experts and media experts. The validity results was calculated by using the formula Product Moment, while reliability is calculated by the formula KR-20. Development of Modified-based worksheet inquiry, the first step is the needs analysis, select the model and suitable material for manufacturing the worksheet, worksheet development process, develop instruments validation to see compatibility materials and media effectiveness worksheet and tested. Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce the learning media in the form photoscrap as media on the subject of statis fluid for students 10 grade in senior high school. Poster developed in this research created from recycled material or scrap. The method which used in this research is a research and development (R&D) methods of Dick and Carey with steps : 1) identification instructional needs and writing general instructional purposes , 2) instructional analysis, 3) identification first behavior characteristic of students, 4) writing spesific instructional purposes, 5) design assesment tools, 6) desain instructional strategy, 7) development instructional materials , 8) desain and emplement formative evaluation, 9) instructional sysetem, 10 ) implementation summatif evaluation and innovasion difusion. Instrument of research in the form of questionnaire. This poster has been through a validation test phase with a percentage 81,25% according to matter expert, 79.95% according to media expert, and 94.85% according to physics teacher in senior high school interpreted very good. Limited test result on physics learners shows the percentage 85.54% from 5 aspect assessment of students to poster developed. Based on the result of the validation test, experiment, it can be concluded that the result of the development of fluid poster in form of photoscrap has been qualified as a media of learning for the ten grades in senior high school in their physics class. Abstract

Mathematical Physics I is one of subjects for Physics Education’s department on STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. Mathematical Physics give you the basics of mastering the mathematical methods used in discussing the physical phenomena of nature. This course requires students to work hard in mastering the concept given. Therefore we need a teaching material in the form of modules that are effective in improving student understanding of concepts. Modules that developed serves to improve the mindset of students to think critically, creatively, and innovative (Problem Based Instruction). Students are given the opportunity to develop their creative ideas in solving the problems that can develop critical thinking skills, so that students are able to associate the concept of mathematics with physics concepts. In this research, preliminary analysis in the form of a needs analysis and analysis of concepts or content, and assessment of the necessary literature in the lecture. Analysis of the concept aims to define the content and course materials are needed in developing the module. In the study of literature in the form of an assessment of the existing teaching materials to be developed for the better. Based on the initial investigation (preliminary research) performed on students and colleagues agree to the development of module-based Mathematical Physics 1 Problem Based Instruction as teaching material in the lecture. Abstract

This research intent to develop computer-based estimation software or Computer Base Test (CBT) interactive as instrumental as Physics learning estimation SMA. This CBT was developed utilizes application Wondershare Quiz Creator. Observational model that is utilized in this research is model observational developmental Walter Dick, Lou Carey and James O.Carey already being modified by Atwi Suparman which is Instruksional's Development Model (MPI). Estimation instrument utilize Likert's scale. This CBT's product have passed through quiz validates by media expert and an estimation expert with percentage 91,50% and 93,75%. Averagely percentage usufructs to test validates by media expert and estimation expert be 92,63% by pretty good estimation categories. Circumscribed test-driving or smallscale by class student X MIA SMAN 22 Jakarta gets to increase estimations very good with percentage 82,14%. After tests to validate by media expert, estimation expert, and circumscribed quiz, done by revision on CBT's application. Hereafter, done by test-driving by educator which is physics teacher of SMAN 31 Jakarta and scale test-driving outgrows by class student X MIA SMAN 31 Jakarta. Percentage usufructs test-driving by educator be 98,22%, meanwhile scale test-driving result outgrows by student be 74,86%. Base quiz result validates by media expert, estimation expert, smallscale test-driving by student, test-driving result by educator, and scale test-driving result outgrows by student, can be concluded that CBT already being developed by researcher has very good criterion and reasonable be utilized as instrument of physics learning estimation SMA. Abstract

The objective of research was to measure the difference of students’ achievement test before and after project based learning. The methodology of research was the experimental method one group pre-test post-test design. The research conducted in MAN (State Islamic High School) 15 Jakarta. The subjects of research were 24 students elevent grade of science-1 on fluid topic. Instruments research were used were worksheets students, instrument assessment water rocket in rubrics form and physics test. The data analysis used T-test. The research found the increasing students achievment from the scores average 52.60 to 81.88. In addition, the N-gain value average was 0.617 in 0.3 ≤ g ≤ 0.7. This value showed N-gain in medium category. The results of the score the N-gain from 6 students (25 %) were in high category score, two students (8.33 %) in low score and 16 students ( 66,67 %) in medium category. Analysis t-test generated that the average the test scores before and after learning were different.Thus can be expressed that the implementation of learning project based learning affecting the amount of the test scores physics students. This study discovered that project based learning had already given an enabling environment for students in create and design technology products. Students also became more active, enthusiastic, critical, creative in learn physics after by project based learning. Abstract

We have developed a multi-representative book for Fluids using Science Technology and Society approach. The content of this book represents in verbal, mathematic, graphic, and table forms. Fluids series book presented from basic knowledge to advanced knowledge. Research method that applied is Instructional Development Model (IDM) by Atwi Suparman with Educational research and development approach model consist of 9 stages. Legibility test has done to 5 students with result of content reach 81,25%, language 80%, and presentation 82,5%. This book has validated by content, media, and instructional expert team. The percentage result of proper content 80,19%, media 78,91%, and instructional 90,28%. From the validation result and test obtain very good interpretation, so that development of multi-representative book for fluids can be used to be reference book.
